The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 45: Chapter 045: Angry Confrontation

”Did I hear that we got a new roommate?”

”Yep, it’s He Tiantian!”

”He Tiantian? Isn’t she the one whose aunt is a mistress?”

”Exactly, that’s her. My Grandma also lives nearby, and you know, her aunt is just shameless...”

”Talking behind someone’s back like this... it’s not nice!”

”What’s wrong with it? If she did something shameless, are we not supposed to talk about it?”

”Huh? If I didn’t hear wrong just now, it seems like her aunt is the mistress, not her.”

”Yeah, I think He Tiantian is quite nice actually. Although her grades are average, she rarely causes trouble... Also, Zixuen, did you notice she changed her hairstyle today—”

”Yeah, I saw it, it looks pretty good. I always thought her long bangs were too much, and she always keeps her head down, just like a villain from a Japanese drama.”

”...Hmph, she’s just intentionally trying to seduce. It’s been spread all over the class that she likes Gao Xiang. She’s cutting her hair and changing glasses clearly trying to—”

He Tiantian, carrying her backpack and luggage, stood at the dormitory door and listened carefully to the conversation inside.

She realized that the five roommates inside were not completely against her.

Although two of them were not particularly in her favor, they did say a few fair things surprisingly.

It seems that not everyone in school harbors malice or blindly follows the crowd to bully; there are still kind and just people.

He Tiantian didn’t continue eavesdropping; she directly pushed the door open and following the last remark asked, ”Clearly trying to do what?”

Walking into the dormitory, she saw her five roommates, two of whom were at their desks doing homework, while the other three were either sitting on their beds or organizing their clothes.

The room was designed for six people with beds overhead and desks underneath.

There had been a bed and a desk that were still vacant, which the roommates would casually use to pile on their belongings.

At noon, Teacher Fang had informed the head resident that a new student would be moving in and asked them to clean up in advance.

The others were fine and didn’t react too strongly.

However, Wu Xiaohan, who was adjacent to the empty bed, was somewhat reluctant. Due to her position, she had the most belongings piled on the empty bed.

Her desk was also next to the vacant spot, and her books and snacks almost covered half the table.

Now being suddenly told that a new roommate was coming and she had to clear the bed and desk, she felt uncomfortable.

If it had been any other student, perhaps Wu Xiaohan wouldn’t have been so resentful.

But He Tiantian—

Wu Xiaohan and Zhou Zixuan were good friends, and she also harbored some indescribable feelings for Gao Xiang.

Yet He Tiantian, this shameless girl, using her beauty, deliberately flirts around.

Whether for her friend or for those tender feelings in her heart, Wu Xiaohan had her reasons to dislike He Tiantian.

She was just angrily packing up her things, while openly bad-mouthing He Tiantian, ”She’s clearly trying to be like her shameless aunt, trying to—seduce Gao Xiang!”

However, before she could finish, Wu Xiaohan abruptly stopped, her face struck with horror.

Because she realized that the person who interjected wasn’t Liu Qian, who was also discussing He Tiantian, but He Tiantian herself.

Well, talking badly about someone behind their back only to be overheard by the person in question, even if Wu Xiaohan felt totally justified in her disdain for He Tiantian, she now felt somewhat embarrassed.

She deliberately avoided He Tiantian’s gaze, pretending to be busy tidying up, trying to gloss over the matter.

She wanted to muddle through, but He Tiantian wouldn’t have it.

He Tiantian walked up to Wu Xiaohan in just a few steps and directly called her out, ”Wu Xiaohan, why are you silent? Keep going! Continue!”

”I’m also very curious, what goals do I have in cutting my hair and changing my glasses?”

”As a stranger, you’re not clarifying, and even I, the person involved, am confused!”

He Tiantian assumed a self-righteous stance, her aggressive demeanor appearing somewhat domineering.

Liu Qian, who had just slandered He Tiantian alongside Wu Xiaohan, couldn’t hold back first. Sitting on the bed with her phone, wearing an earphone on one ear, she scrolled through videos and gossiped with Wu Xiaohan.

Seeing He Tiantian’s relentless attitude, Liu Qian felt guilty yet indignant, and pretending to be a peacemaker, she commented, ”Oh, we’re all classmates here, Wu Xiaohan is just straightforward, she meant no harm!”

”Liu Qian, your face is really ugly! I guess it’s from your dad, you and your dad are both incompetent, failing to keep your real mother—”

He Tiantian raised her head, stared steadily at Liu Qian, and spoke slowly.

”He Tiantian, what nonsense are you spouting? How can you humiliate someone like that, and deliberately say things that hurt deeply?”

Liu Qian seemed like she had been stepped on a sore toe, teetering on the verge of exploding.

”Yeah, He Tiantian, how can you be so malicious? Liu Qian comes from a single-parent family, it’s not like she wanted it that way, how can you still say she’s ’incompetent’?” Wu Xiaohan quickly jumped in to defend Liu Qian.

”Oh, this is malicious? Is it not true that Liu Qian’s real mother went off with some rich man, abandoning Liu Qian and her dad?”

He Tiantian showed not a speck of guilt, ”Calling these statements malicious and humiliating. When you were saying bad things about me, why didn’t I see any of you feeling ashamed?”

”Was it my choice for my aunt to be someone’s mistress, did I force her?”

”Liu Qian’s real mother runs off with someone, and Liu Qian is innocent and pitiful! When it comes to me, how come the situation turns into ’a crooked beam leads to crooked rafters’?”

”Wu Xiaohan, you really are nationally famous for your double standards!”

”And you, Liu Qian, let me share a phrase with you, ’Do not do to others what you don’t want done to yourself.’ If you don’t want others to humiliate you, stop engaging in actions that humiliate others!”

He Tiantian’s cold gaze fell on Wu Xiaohan and Liu Qian.

Liu Qian pursed her lips, feeling furious but unable to argue back.

For she feared that He Tiantian would reveal even more unpleasant ’truths.’

Wu Xiaohan, whose parents were both present and lived in a happy family, wasn’t so guilty and couldn’t help murmuring, ”Those things we said, we weren’t the first to say them. People outside all say this!”

”Yes, people outside also say the same gossips about Liu Qian’s family!” He Tiantian snapped back promptly.

Wu Xiaohan still wanted to say something, but was quickly stopped by Liu Qian, ”That’s enough, Xiaohan, stop talking!”

Liu Qian’s eyes reddened, as her family had always been laughed at by the neighbors because of her mother’s actions.

The things those busybodies said were even more unpleasant than what He Tiantian had just said, and the facts were not much better than the rumors.

Liu Qian still remembered her real mother’s wasteful and vain behavior, and the resolute way she got into a luxury car and left that day.

Liu Qian called He Tiantian’s aunt a mistress, but how much better was her own real mother?

She and He Tiantian were both innocent victims, why did she attack and hurt He Tiantian.

He Tiantian’s words didn’t directly awaken Liu Qian but made her start to reflect.

And it made everyone in the dormitory understand one thing: He Tiantian is not to be messed with!
