Sorry, Our Captain Is a True All-Rounder

Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Sister Feng

When the spaceship’s hatch opened, they stared out at the endless yellow sand, and it finally dawned on them that they had arrived in a desert.

The five of them fell silent. Shi Feng was so anxious he started scratching his head and stomping his feet.

”Why didn’t anyone tell us the competition would be in a desert?!” Shi Feng’s voice was filled with anguish the moment he spoke.

”A place with little water and food,” Gu Kaiwen said, looking down at the desert, also struggling to keep his composure.

”How much water do we have in our Space Rings?” Feng He asked urgently.

In the desert, water was more valuable than anything else.

And since they had to last for a week, a sufficient water supply was essential.

No longer in a hurry to jump, the group started rummaging through the military vessel.

They scavenged every last edible and drinkable item on the vessel.

They were even filling buckets with water from the vessel’s tap. Watching the ship fly farther and farther into the distance, they couldn’t help but curse, ”Shit...”

’We shouldn’t have slept!’

”AHHHH—” Gu Kaiwen scrambled around in a panic, knocking over a bunch of things.

Lin Jingjing, however, wasn’t worried. ”No rush,” she said. ”Take your time.”

”It’s about to fly out of bounds and you’re not worried?!” This made Gu Kaiwen even more frantic.

Lin Jingjing rolled her eyes. ”What’s there to be afraid of? I’ll get us over there through the air.”

Her words left the other four completely stunned. What did she mean, ’get us there through the air’?

’Could she possibly mean it literally?’

”My spiritual power is pretty strong,” Lin Jingjing explained, seeing their confused expressions. ”I want to test my limits.”

The other four fell silent again. ’Isn’t she just using us as guinea pigs?’

”What if we fall?” Shi Feng asked cautiously.

”Are the parachutes just for decoration?” Lin Jingjing retorted, pointing to a nearby stack of them.

’Fair enough,’ they thought. ’It’s not out of the question.’

With Lin Jingjing’s reassurance, they stopped rushing.

After they had filled all their containers with water and stored them in their Space Rings, the pilot emerged from the cockpit, seeing they still had no intention of leaving. ”You’re not going yet?”

”We’re about to fly out of the designated zone.”

Seeing there was still someone else on board, they rushed over. Shi Feng put on a fawning smile and said to the pilot, ”Hey man, got any food on you? If you do, could you spare some?”

The pilot stared at them, speechless. This gang of bandits had already scavenged everything.

And now they were asking him for more. ”No,” the pilot replied, his face stern.

Feng He joined in the effort. ”Sir, this is the desert. There’s barely any water or food, and we have to provide for the members of four corps plus ourselves. That’s twenty-five people!”

”A whole crowd is waiting for us to feed them. We can’t just let them starve.”

”Sir...” Feng He said, putting on a pleading expression. The pilot looked at their act and finally sighed, taking all the food out of his Space Ring. He kept only one carton of Nutrient Liquid for himself and gave them the rest.

After receiving four cartons of Nutrient Liquid, they were all beaming and rushed to hug the pilot.

”Man, thank you so much!”

”Thanks! May you be blessed with octuplets!”

Hearing Shi Feng’s ”blessing,” the others’ mouths twitched. Gu Kaiwen rapped him on the head and said sternly, ”Are you trying to curse the guy?”

”No, no!” Shi Feng quickly waved his hands in denial. ”That’s how people give blessings on the internet!”

”That’s for being snarky,” Lin Jingjing said with a laugh.

”Then I wish you a bright and prosperous future!” Shi Feng quickly corrected himself.

The pilot chuckled and watched them walk out of the cockpit door. That’s right, they just walked out.

Shocked, he rushed over to the door to look. He saw them stepping onto a golden, glass-like surface.

”Damn, they really have a death wish,” the pilot muttered, watching the scene. He knew that ”glass” was formed by solidified spiritual power.

’Using spiritual power so extravagantly... once it runs out, they’re dead.’

”So reckless. They don’t know what they’re doing,” someone in the observation room commented with disdain. ”Just because she has some spiritual power, she’s wasting it like that. She’ll be in for it when she runs out.”

Many who heard this remained silent, but inwardly they agreed with the sentiment.

”Your people are really something else, Chief Bei,” said Xie Yun, the commander of the Sixth Corps, with a smirk. ”Completely fearless.”

Beisang didn’t reply. His gaze remained fixed on the large screen as he watched them press onward.

Lin Jingjing led the way, her eyes fixed on a blue screen hovering in front of her.

It displayed the route to their destination.

”Just another four kilometers and we’ll be there,” Lin Jingjing said, pointing ahead.

”How long have we been walking?” Shi Feng asked, gazing out at the endless desert. He felt hot and thirsty under the scorching sun and subconsciously licked his own cracked lips.

Feng He saw him and immediately stopped him. ”Don’t lick your lips.”

”They’re already cracked. Licking them will just let bacteria in.”

”If you’re thirsty, drink water.” Feng He took a canteen from her belt and offered it to Shi Feng. ”Take small, frequent sips.”

”I have my own,” Shi Feng said, waving his hand to refuse the canteen Feng He offered. ”I’ll drink my own.”

’If he actually dared to take it, Mo Xuan’s fist would find its way to his face in no time.’

As the group walked on, the glass path remained solid, never once breaking.

After another hour of walking, they looked from the glass path beneath their feet to Lin Jingjing up ahead and asked in disbelief, ”Sister Lin, is your spiritual power really this strong?”

”We’ve been walking for two hours and you’re not even the slightest bit tired?” Gu Kaiwen asked, walking up beside Lin Jingjing and studying her intently.

Lin Jingjing glanced up at him. ”Nope.”

’They kept talking about spiritual power depletion,’ she thought, ’but I don’t feel a thing.’

”Are you even human?” Gu Kaiwen said, looking her up and down in astonishment. If he hadn’t seen what Chief Bei looked like when his spiritual power was depleted, he would suspect the whole concept was a lie.

”Whatever Sister Lin does is right,” Shi Feng said earnestly, putting his hands together as if in prayer. ”I am Sister Lin’s most sincere follower.”

”Sister Lin, you have to bless me from now on.”

”Want to be my follower, too?” Feng He asked, nudging Shi Feng with her elbow. ”I can heal you with my spiritual power, you know.”

Shi Feng took a step away from her. ”No, thanks.”

Feng He kept smiling, but then she clenched a fist and raised it. ”That’s okay. I know a thing or two about fighting, too.”

Seeing her expression, Shi Feng’s back went rigid. ”I’ll follow! I’ll follow!” he said hurriedly.

”I am the most loyal follower of you two great masters,” Shi Feng said with a grin.

”Good boy.” Feng He slung an arm around his shoulder, then pulled a piece of candy from her pocket and handed it to him. ”This is for you.”

Shi Feng took the candy and immediately pocketed it.

”Thanks, Sister Feng.”

”And now he’s calling you ’Sister’,” Lin Jingjing remarked with a laugh.
