Sorry, Our Captain Is a True All-Rounder

Chapter 104: Chapter 104: One Hundred Lashes

Yun Yiyou listened to him, his golden eyes watching him, before stating flatly, ”I find that hard to believe.”

Then, Yun Yiyou added, ”Let’s have a match in the arena.”

Hearing this, Captain Li lowered his head slightly, not daring to accept the challenge.

But Captain Li had no intention of letting the silence hang. He started sucking up, ”My King, you are so powerful. How could a subordinate like me ever defeat you?”

Yun Yiyou scoffed. ’Since when did my dear captain learn to kiss ass?’

Captain Li heard Yun Yiyou’s scoff and instantly stood ramrod straight. His heart trembled as he prayed inwardly that the King wouldn’t punish him.

’The King actually knew what he had been up to for the past ten years. He also knew that for the last few years, he had been lazing about in the logistics department.’

’But the King isn’t saying anything, and he still wants to fight me.’

’Shit!’

’I’m not done for, am I?!’

”You are the blade of our Empire. I’m just a mere captain of the Personal Guard Team. How could I dare compare myself to you?”

Captain Li’s face was devoid of expression as he said this, making it clear he was being completely serious.

Yun Yiyou watched him, his fingers tracing the photo frame again and again. His eyes narrowed slightly as he began to speak slowly, ”You didn’t complete your mission properly. You slacked off for three years. Tell me, how should I punish you?”

Yun Yiyou’s tone was as casual as ever, but upon hearing the words, Captain Li felt an immense pressure bearing down on him, making it hard to breathe.

Captain Li immediately dropped to one knee. ”My King, please punish me,” he said to Yun Yiyou.

”Mm.” Yun Yiyou placed the photo frame face down on the desk. He stood up, walked over to Captain Li, then bent down slightly and lifted his chin, forcing him to meet his gaze. His voice remained level. ”One hundred lashes and a ten-thousand-word self-criticism.”

Hearing this punishment, Captain Li secretly breathed a sigh of relief. ’This isn’t so bad.’

”I accept your command,” Captain Li replied.

Yun Yiyou released him and left the office. Only after he was gone did Captain Li get up from the floor, letting out a long sigh of relief.

’Thank goodness the King went easy on me for old times’ sake.’

After changing his clothes, Captain Li went to the punishment chamber to receive his sentence.

After one hundred lashes, Captain Li collapsed unconscious on the floor. Each blow from the robot’s whip was incredibly powerful. After enduring eighty lashes, he was already in a daze.

Chains on his wrists kept him from falling completely, but Captain Li was already on the verge of collapse.

Lin Jingjing and the others had no idea Captain Li was being punished so severely. They were busy in the kitchen, trying only to cook the best dishes they could.

If they knew Captain Li had been so gravely injured because of the King, they wouldn’t be preparing the meal with such care.

”They didn’t even say what time dinner is,” Feng He said, sitting on a chair. She was already sweating profusely from the heat and frowned as she looked at the time.

Several dishes were already arranged on a long table nearby. They were in food warmers, so they wouldn’t get cold from being prepared early.

Inside the warmers, they would stay at the same temperature as when they first came out of the wok, and their aromas were sealed in as well.

”Probably soon,” Mo Xuan chimed in. ”It’s already five o’clock. Even if they were just wandering around, they should be done by now.”

Speak of the devil. Just as they finished their discussion, Beisang’s female adjutant walked in.

”How are the meal preparations coming along?” the adjutant asked after glancing around at the group.

Lin Jingjing wiped the water from her hands and said, ”We’re just two dishes away from being finished.”

She pointed to the dishes on the long table. ”Can we send these over now?”

The adjutant looked over at the long table, where an array of exquisite dishes was lined up.

The group had even taken care to plate them beautifully, making them look all the more delicious.

The adjutant couldn’t help but swallow. ’They look amazing. I just wonder how they taste.’

”You can start serving,” the adjutant said before turning and leaving.

After she left, the group started arguing about who would serve the food. The thought of that King made them all timid, and they began passing the buck.

Seeing this, Lin Jingjing said, ”Let’s be fair about it.”

”Rock, paper, scissors to decide who goes.” The five of them immediately agreed.

They gathered in a circle, their expressions grave, their eyes full of caution and vigilance as they looked at each other.

”Rock, paper, scissors!” Lin Jingjing shouted, and all five hands shot out at once.

Lin Jingjing threw paper, as did Feng He. The three guys, with uncanny coordination, all threw scissors. This was a result Lin Jingjing and Feng He simply couldn’t accept.

”Damn it, you guys cheated!” Lin Jingjing snapped, staring at her paper, refusing to believe it. Feng He was the same.

But a bet was a bet, and the two of them could only bite the bullet and go.

They loaded the dishes onto a serving cart, and the two of them pushed it out of the kitchen. The three guys shouted after them, ”Good luck!”

To host Yun Yiyou, Beisang had opened the most luxurious private room in the restaurant.

It was huge, capable of seating over twenty people. Since many people had come to the First Corps this time, the luxurious private room was completely full.

When the two of them pushed the serving cart in, their hearts immediately tightened at the sight of so many people.

’No one told us there would be this many people in the private room!’

The two of them said nothing, single-mindedly serving one dish after another.

With only the last two dishes still needing to be cooked, they offered a brief explanation and quickly left.

Outside the door, the two of them let out a long sigh of relief. ”That was terrifying! We’re just cooks, why did they make us face so many big shots?!”

”Captain Li should have been the one to do it.”

’That’s right, where is Captain Li?’

As they pushed the cart back, Lin Jingjing made a video call to Captain Li.

In the punishment chamber, Captain Li was woken by the call. His eyelashes trembled slightly before his eyelids fluttered open.

He glanced at the video call notification that popped up in front of him. It was from Lin Jingjing.

He pressed the answer key, and Lin Jingjing’s face appeared before him.

But Lin Jingjing stopped in her tracks when she saw Captain Li lying on the floor, his face pale with a streak of blood on his cheek. Her brow furrowed as she asked, ”Captain Li, what happened to you?”

”It’s nothing. I made a mistake and was punished,” Captain Li said, propping himself up. His voice was much weaker.

’Punished... so Captain Li is in the punishment chamber!’

”Captain Li, wait there. I’ll have them take you to the infirmary.” Turning to Feng He beside her, Lin Jingjing said, ”You message Mo Xuan. Tell them to go to the punishment chamber!”

Feng He nodded quickly, opening her terminal to send a message to Mo Xuan.

Just then, Lin Jingjing reached for her Space Ring, took out the bottle of Advanced Recovery Agent, and said, ”You go too. And have Captain Li drink this potion.”

”Yes!” Feng He took it and dashed out.
