Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Looking from afar at this newly rising city that had only been established for a few years.

It was hard to associate it with such a short span of time.

Because now, Return City had already become an important city on the map.

Because Alka and the others had chosen this region, and with the Vastva people’s own efforts, they had built two safe avenues leading off to the sides.

As a result, this place had actually become a central rest node.

It had also become the largest city between the southern wall of the World Scar and the harbor cities.

You had to know that the distance between the wall and the harbor was no short trip, basically calculated in units of half a month.

This meant that some soldiers with only a short leave would prioritize coming to this city for a simple rest.

Because of this geographic advantage, the city had developed at an abnormally rapid pace in just a few years. Add to that some Spell technology of the Vastva people, as well as the mechanical technology they later developed in a magicless environment that was now being applied to construction projects.

The speed of building all kinds of structures was extremely fast, especially with the help of the Stonehoof Race under Alka.

In front of them stood a grayish-white stone wall a good seven or eight meters high, and along the edge of the top of the wall there was a row of metal fences two or three meters tall.

From the arcs of electricity above, it was clear that this metal fence was an electric grid, and there were also one-by-one node structures like metal towers.

Alka could clearly feel the Thunder Element within those metal tower nodes; this should be the Thunder Net Protection Circle they had learned about before leaving last time.

Each node could absorb a large amount of lightning and unleash long-range destructive attacks.

This device was mainly used to deal with some of the mutated, demonified flying creatures in the surrounding area.

Besides that, one could see some firing ports on the top of the city wall.

It was clearly already a fortress.

Building in this way meant the Vastva people had basically already planned out the overall shape of the city.

They had decided that for a very long period, they would no longer expand their city.

Caravans and foot traffic flowed endlessly in and out.

After all, the ease on the front line also gave more soldiers time to rest.

Alka hadn’t come back here for two years; along the way he kept looking left and right.

At the city gate there were two huge black humanoid Battle Armors, four to five meters tall.

Alka took a look and saw that some Vastva already possessed Tier Three strength.

Thinking carefully, Alka realized that from the time he had first inspired them with his Mirror until now, several years seemed to have passed.

By that reckoning, it was indeed about time for some people’s strength to have reached Tier Three.

With their weapons and Battle Armor, protecting the city behind Return City was more than sufficient.

Because Alka and the others entered along with the crowd, the guards on duty did not notice their return.

”Looks like they’ve restarted their old architectural style.” As soon as Alka stepped into the city and saw the buildings inside, he couldn’t help but say with a smile.

They had seen this architectural style before in the ruins on Broken Island and in some painted murals.

It had a flavor all its own.

Once they returned to this city, everyone began to scatter, since they hadn’t been back in a long time.

Alka walked alone toward their resting place, heading for the small manor where they stayed.

By now their manor was already surrounded by all sorts of buildings, but the manor itself had still been very well preserved.

And at the manor gate, there was a guard piloting a Battle Armor standing watch.

Seeing Alka approaching, a voice sounded from within the Battle Armor.

”Lord Alka?”

Alka nodded. ”You’ve worked hard.”

Alka knew him; this soldier should be someone who had been inspired through his Mirror.

The soldier piloting the Battle Armor stepped aside and personally opened the gate. ”Welcome home.”

Hearing this, Alka smiled, chatted with the soldier for a few moments, and then returned into the manor.

Although no one had lived here for a long time, there was no dust, clearly someone had been cleaning regularly.

Sitting down beside the sofa, Alka sank into it completely.

Letting out a comfortable breath, Alka rested for a while, then reached out and a map appeared in his hand; he unfolded the map.

Originally this map should have been unusable, but it had undergone real-time updates.

For example, where previously there had only been a single golden light dot, there was now a tiny city icon drawn to represent Return City.

Otherwise this map would have been an outdated product.

He looked toward the one remaining orange light dot representing a Scepter Level Treasure among the many light dots on the map.

He tapped it open.
