Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Inside the Holy Mother Church of Return City.

As the believers in the chapel gradually left their seats, the uppermost Bref closed the Holy Scripture before him, and then hung it on his waist with the chain above.

Although he was previously a Wheat Knight, he is now temporarily serving as the priest of this church.

For believers like them, a change of identity is natural.

After all, they are first priests and believers, then knights.

Once the believers had left one after another, Bref descended and sat beside the seat at the end of the chapel, where Alka was waiting.

”Sorry for making you wait.”

Upon hearing this, Alka merely smiled, and he also took the opportunity to pray to the Holy Mother.

After a few exchanges of pleasantries, Bref’s expression became serious as he began to speak: ”After two months of low-frequency attacks, the demons’ offensive gradually picked up, although it still remains at a relatively low frequency.

The target you asked us to keep an eye on has recently been appearing frequently at the Demon-Defending Fortress.”

Upon hearing this, Alka unexpectedly turned his head towards him: ”Slaughterer Kalande?”

This was exactly the target he had asked Bref and others to watch for at the Demon-Defending Fortress.

It’s worth noting that two years ago, during the few months when the demons’ offensive exploded, this demon was severely injured by Grefar.

As a result, over the past two years, Alka has almost never heard any news of him, only knowing sporadically that he sometimes appears at some peripheral walls.

The main activity is harassment, rarely fixed in a fiercely contested area; clearly, he is also in hiding.

Plus, witnesses have reported that his condition isn’t good.

At the time, Alka merely asked Bref and the others to keep an eye out, as his power hadn’t reached the Sixth Stage.

By the standards of strength at that time, being at the Demon-Defending Fortress could easily lead to excessive danger.

After all, it’s the closest place to the rift, with hardly any spatial or other constraints. It’s also where the fiercest fighting takes place; no one could pay attention to Alka under such strong attacks.

Not to mention the Devouring Mouth, and now the demons want to eliminate Alka.

If he went to such a place without reaching the Sixth Stage, it would be suicidal.

Hence, Alka has never been there; over the past two years, the places they would defend mostly concentrated around the fortress, like the Demon Hunting Fortress.

Unexpectedly, his strength just reached the Sixth Stage, giving him at least some self-preservation power at the Demon-Defending Fortress, and now he hears news of this demon.

It’s hard for Alka not to feel like there’s some sort of trap being set.

At this moment, Bref also said, ”It’s quite a coincidence. Considering the damage Grefar inflicted on him, he can’t recover so quickly.

Moreover, based on his recent active performance, his strength has clearly declined to some extent, and there are very noticeable scars on him.

His condition isn’t good, obviously this current activity isn’t his intent. After all, demons are reckless, but none at this stage are fools. They can only be described as crazy.”

Simply put, it’s luring Alka, somewhat like baiting Alka to go over.

Alka leaned against the wooden backrest of the chair, pondering.

Should I go?

The main issue is that eventually, I have to go.

After learning how to repair the world from the process information, he has been considering certain tasks he needs to undertake himself.

And the Demon-Defending Fortress is definitely a place he has to go.

It’s an unavoidable place.

Watching Alka contemplate, Bref quietly waits beside him, making no attempt to interrupt.

After a long while, Alka seemed to have come to a decision and said, ”I’ll go, but the target isn’t Kalande; it’s to see the place of the most intense battle.

I’ll also see what exactly they’re planning.”

Upon hearing this, Bref nodded without offering any advice or saying anything else.

Because Alka is different from them.

Alka also knows that he has an ace card ensuring he won’t fall into fatal danger.

That is, he can accept the power of the Dream Realm, and currently, his Dream Realm power has risen to around the middle of the Seventh Stage.

Still racing towards the Eighth Stage.

Once accepted, he really can’t imagine being instantly killed with his strength, plus the Treasure.

Besides, he’s only on the wall; as long as his target isn’t focused on Kalande, he is unlikely to be tempted into extremely dangerous areas.

And on the fortress, there are numerous strong allies nearby.

If Alka accepts the Dream Realm’s power and reaches above the Seventh Stage, and still faces lethal threats under these circumstances, then hiding or not hiding becomes meaningless.

Indeed, demons won’t truly die the same way.

In the worst-case scenario, it would merely mean Alka’s physical body’s death, and his soul returns to the Dream Realm.

”I’ll go alone.” Upon hearing this, Bref gave Alka a surprised look.

Then, after some thought, he understood.

After all, Chadite and the others haven’t reached the Sixth Stage yet; that place is indeed too dangerous for them.

Because if they can’t target Alka, targeting Alka’s allies is also a very feasible option.

Don’t think demons wouldn’t resort to such tactics; they even exert significant effort to attack Return City.
