Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

The emerald vines intertwined, forming a thick, layered wall that encircled the Island’s edge in a complete circuit, securely protecting it.

On top of the wall, countless silhouettes could be seen frantically raining down long wooden spears onto the ground below. These spears seemed simple, but when thrown, each became like a Sharp Sword, piercing and pinning the monsters below that were attempting an assault.

Some monsters, lucky enough not to die, were immobilized. This, in turn, blocked the advance of the monsters behind them, which were then trampled to death.

Several huge tentacles formed by vines also extended from the walls. These tentacles, stretching over ten meters long, swept down fiercely from above. With their massive size and formidable strength, each sweep could knock down a large number of enemies.

”Summon Flower Cannon!”

An elderly woman in a green floral-embroidered robe raised a flower staff wrapped in plants and shouted loudly.

With her command, a fragrant aroma emanated from all over the wall; visible pollen spread, along with a faint green glow. Giant flowers bloomed on the vine-covered wall, their petal-formed cores large enough to swallow a whole person. These flowers bent, aiming their stamens towards the enemies below the wall.

Aside from a more beautiful appearance, they looked no different from the Flower Cannons Alka and others had seen at the Life and Death Boundary, except those particular Flower Cannons seemed more disgusting and evil.

One could feel the Magic Power gathering in the stamens as the flowers swayed. Various attacks formed by Energy Bullets shot down one after another. A barrage of Energy Bullets cleared the area below.

The explosions from these Energy Bullets seemed to activate a plant-like layer on the undead monsters. Their outer skin began to grow strange floral plants, even spreading inward, hindering their actions and fixing them in place.

But such clearing was only temporary. Countless humanoid undead soldiers swiftly filled the gaps, advancing on the wall.

The undead army—composed of shades of dark green, gray-green, and a dull green like decaying plants—advanced from the swamp towards the Island ahead. The Island’s wall was composed of vibrant green vines, filling the area with a flourishing emerald vitality.

Two different greens clashed, resulting in fierce combat, as both sides engaged in brutal battle centered around the wall.

But clearly, the number of undead monsters from the Life and Death Boundary far exceeded that of this side. Moreover, if these monsters weren’t killed instantly, their wounds would slowly be repaired and replenished by the plant vines on them over time. They could quickly regain combat ability.

Under such conditions, the defense on the wall became increasingly difficult. Some sections of the wall seemed on the brink of falling.

”Luckily, among these undead monsters from the Life and Death Boundary, there aren’t those monsters we encountered before. Otherwise, this wall would...”

Before Jason could finish, Pororo’s hand, larger than Jason’s face, covered his mouth, stopping him from speaking further.

”At times like this, I suggest you really should keep your mouth shut,” Alka remarked, looking at Jason with helpless sarcasm.

Jason patted Pororo’s hand hard, signaling for him to let go. After being released, he rubbed his face, having given up trying to argue. He mumbled to himself, ”I was just pointing out the most probable possibility. It’s a reasonable hypothesis, merely proving that my guess is quite sound.”

Yet, no one paid attention to his excuses, nor did anyone want to listen. He could only silently close his mouth.

Alka looked at everyone and asked, ”What should we do now? Should we go up and help?”

”They should have dealt with such situations about ten times, so why does it look like they’re about to fall?” Chadite couldn’t help but ask, observing the distant scene.

At this point, they and the team transporting supplies were hiding far from the battlefield, thanks to the Dream Realm Invisibility brought by Alka. Using various means, they observed the battlefield situation.

The battle situation was not optimistic; the Island side seemed on the verge of having their wall breached by the enemy. With their numerical disadvantage, if the wall were breached, it would be very difficult to win this war.

This question prompted Alka to turn his head toward Madru and the others hiding with them. ”Is this kind of situation common?”

Madru shook his head, his expression solemn. ”Except at the very beginning, when we suffered heavy casualties due to a sudden enemy attack. Later, after we were prepared, there were few large-scale sacrifices... However, in each enemy attack, certain areas fall into crisis due to the enemies’ concentrated efforts. This results in numerous sacrifices, but reinforcements should already be on the way. They only need to hold on a little longer.”

Madru said this as he looked at everyone. After all, his age meant he had fully experienced the era when the Life and Death Boundary began its outward attacks, so he indeed had some authority to speak on the matter.
