Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

”So, we can first head to this area. It is the Place of Many Lings, which is known to be friendly towards members of the Holy Mother Church.”

Alka spoke to his companions in the captain’s cabin.

”That’s not an issue in itself, but have you considered one thing?” Chadite looked at everyone and then continued, ”All the information we currently possess is from the past. We don’t actually know the current state of the Sea of Moisture, do we?”

Hearing this, everyone nodded.

Indeed, the records they were aware of were from decades, even hundreds of years ago. These were research records passed down from that time. Although there had been updates, these updates were also merely research records, and they didn’t understand the current local situation in the Sea of Moisture.

This so-called Sea of Moisture had existed even when the two Churches occupied Gemini Island. According to the descriptions on the map, it had existed before the world shattered.

”Hmm... everyone, let’s focus on gathering recent information about the Sea of Moisture. Once we have it, we will prepare to set off.”

This type of information had to be gathered from those who had encountered the Sea of Moisture in recent years. There were many who had stayed there for a while and managed to escape.

Hearing Alka’s decision, everyone nodded, left the captain’s cabin, and began to take action.

After all, the Sea of Moisture was mobile and wouldn’t stay in one area waiting for them to arrive. They had to set off as soon as possible. They would need to drift on the sea for a long time before they could potentially encounter the Sea of Moisture. This would be quite a test of luck.

「…」

After about three days and nights of preparation, Alka and his team had learned the recent information about the Sea of Moisture, stored enough supplies, and were ready to set sail.

”You owe me 400 Golden Sail, Jason. Remember to repay me then,” Pororo said with a smile, patting Jason’s shoulder.

Jason looked up at Pororo and managed a stiff smile.

”Yes, I remember.”

After saying this, he touched his Pocket Ring and sighed in relief.

This journey was expected to last a very long time, with almost no precise duration, so they had to be sufficiently prepared. This also forced Jason to prepare enough gemstones, as they were the staple food for the Crystal Dragon. Otherwise, once at sea, if they encountered other islands, those wouldn’t offer the same kind of flourishing trade found on Gemini Island. At that point, finding ample gemstones would be tough.

Jason did not want to see the Crystal Dragon starve, which would delay her growth. So, he had borrowed a large sum of Golden Sail from Pororo and exchanged it all for gemstones.

When it came to who had the most savings on the ship, it was Pororo. He almost never spent money and had no hobbies or essential needs that required spending. His funds were extremely ample. He was the best person to borrow from.

Amidst melodious singing, the Sound of Dawn slowly sailed out of the inner sea harbor. Following a straight course, they sailed outward from the other side of the island.

At this moment, five Guiding Banners were inserted onto the ship’s helm. These five Banners pointed to different Landmark Islands respectively. These five Landmark Islands formed a certain range. The Sea of Moisture was located within the intersecting area of these five target islands, constantly shifting its position.

Chadite was drawing on a piece of white paper, while Alka and Simon stood by, offering their opinions.

”Based on the research, if we start from Gemini Island, the best route is directly towards Iceberg Island. Advance for about fifty days and nights. If we don’t encounter it, we change direction from our current location and head towards Akexi Island. Then…”

As Simon continued detailing the route, Chadite drew a simple plan on the white paper, connecting five different points Simon mentioned. The route they mapped out formed an irregular, twisted rhombus.

This was based on experience gained by the Holy Machine Church from organizing multiple expeditions. Subsequently, several exploration teams had succeeded in encountering the Sea of Moisture within 250 days and nights using this method.

Listening to this, it sounded like it would take a significant amount of time. However, compared to previously relying solely on luck, this level of efficiency was a huge improvement.

Most people avoided the Sea of Moisture. Accidentally encountering it meant a terrifying transit past its edge. Conversely, those who intentionally sought it without effective methods or experience were considered truly unlucky, as they might never encounter it in their lifetime.

After all, the Sea of Moisture roamed randomly within this region. It was, ultimately, a part of the Endless Sea. It did not belong to the Landmark Islands, nor could it be connected by them.

There was even a saying: that it was the Sea of Moisture itself that linked these five surrounding Landmark Islands. The Sea of Moisture’s range was immense. It used sprawling vines to bind together an area large enough to encompass the sea regions linked by three Landmark Islands, and it wandered freely on the vast sea.

Jason came over, listened to their conversation, and couldn’t help but exclaim, ”If we’re unlucky, it’ll be up to 250 days and nights of sailing!”

This amount of time, if converted to Homeland Sea time, would be over a year. Although the duration of a day-and-night cycle was not fixed, it averaged about 42 hours. More than 250 such days and nights equaled over 10,000 hours.

In the Homeland Sea, where time was not distorted and the day-night system remained intact, such a long period roughly equated to more than a year.
