Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

When the sky was once again covered by the starry canvas, the world sank into deep night.

Only then did Simon rub his somewhat throbbing head and return to the Sound of Dawn.

”You’re back?” Jason, in the lookout, stuck his head out to look at Simon on deck. ”You were gone for so long. Looks like you’ve gathered a lot of information.”

Hearing this, Simon nodded, appearing quite pleased. ”The Great Library has a special bookshelf dedicated to information about the Sea of Moisture. They’ve conducted very detailed exploration and research on that sea region.”

Upon hearing this, Jason’s eyes also brightened in the lookout. This indicated that Simon’s haul was definitely the biggest among them.

”Hang on a bit,” Jason said. ”Alka has been waiting for you for a long time. I’ll have Pororo take my shift.”

Soon, the two of them headed towards the captain’s cabin.

Inside the captain’s cabin, Alka and Chadite were already seated, discussing matters concerning the Sea of Moisture.

Seeing the two enter, Alka nodded. ”Simon, tell us about the intelligence you found. You were away for so long; the harvest must be substantial.”

Simon smiled and sat down. ”Of course. I won’t disappoint you. You’ll feel this wait was completely worth it.”

After a brief exchange of information that everyone already knew, Simon said, ”After repeated explorations, this area is suspected to be ruins from the Divine War. Multiple Divines certainly fell here. According to Church research, a Divine representing life, or one related to plants, must have fallen here. Based on the Holy Mother’s stance, among the fallen Divines, one likely hasn’t completely died and is currently undergoing revival.”

He continued, ”This place of revival should be the only relatively safe location in the entire Sea of Moisture. It’s considered safe likely because your people from the Holy Mother Church can be there.”

”Oh? Why do you say that?” Jason asked, curious.

”Because that area isn’t very friendly to us—those from the Holy Machine Church,” Simon explained. ”If explorers from the Holy Machine Church want to investigate there, they must bring several members from the Holy Mother Church with them to stay safely in that place for any length of time.”

Hearing this, Alka nodded. What Simon had just described, and the situation he had read about in the book earlier, was indeed consistent. From what the others had shared, only the Holy Mother Church considered that area safe enough to land. That book was aimed at members of the Holy Mother Church and was never intended for outsiders; it was internal literature.

Then Jason shared some other related information.

After everyone finished chatting, Alka propped his head on his hand, pondering. After a moment, he took out a map and spread it in front of him. The names and information of the three regions were already displayed, based on the naming conventions of the Holy Mother and Holy Machine Churches.

He clicked on the largest area.

[Giant Spirit Perch]

[Treasure Quantity: White - Abundant, Blue - Abundant, Gold - Sparse, Orange - Trace.]

[Area Difficulty: Insane]

[Area Introduction: Land of the Six Gods’ Decisive Battle. The Ancient Jade God was severely wounded here, losing one-third of its being. After the Jade God fell, the destroyed one-third transformed into horrifying evil spirits, pervading this entire area.]

What in the world? Alka was utterly bewildered by this introduction. The phrase that made him most uneasy was ”Land of the Six Gods’ Decisive Battle.” This could be understood in simple literal terms, but that simple meaning was enough to send shivers down his spine. Six Divines battled here; many were severely injured or killed. A true Divine War site. Hmm... Alka contemplated, his thoughts unclear. Let’s look at the other areas.

He reached out and clicked on the region below.

[Life and Death Boundary]

[Treasure Quantity: White - Abundant, Blue - Sparse, Gold - Trace, Red - Trace]

[Area Difficulty: Insane]

[Area Introduction: Land of the Six Gods’ Decisive Battle. The Dread Dragon fell here, cursing all beings. Life and death interlace, chaos reigns, and order has collapsed.]

Indeed, an area with Crown Level treasure is just on another level of dangerous, Alka thought. Let’s see what this says... A Divine has fallen, and from the name, it seems a Divine Level Giant Dragon died here. Cursing all things... the dread in this place must be unimaginable. This is the area mentioned in the book where half the Holy Machine Church members perished. It’s a place we’re currently unqualified to touch.

Alka looked on silently, then turned his gaze elsewhere, clicking on the final area. This was the only region relatively friendly to the Holy Mother Church, and likely the only one we could explore at this stage.

[Land of All Spirits]

[Treasure Quantity: White - Abundant, Blue - Abundant, Orange - Trace.]

[Area Difficulty: Insane]

[Area Introduction: Site of the Six Gods’ War, where the dazzling and fragrant Matilda fell. The Divine has not fully perished; the Holy Mother is aiding her revival. For members of the Holy Mother Church, the area difficulty will be reduced to Ordinary.]

This place looks much better, Alka mused. It’s completely consistent with the intelligence we gathered—it’s safe for us. Difficulty reduced to Ordinary. Although a Divine also fell here, she was apparently an ally of the Holy Mother, who is personally helping her revive. This area should allow us to explore with relative safety. The so-called ’Ordinary’ difficulty means that as long as we don’t break any local rules, we shouldn’t face any danger. Compared to the other two regions, this place is far, far more welcoming to us.

Thinking this, Alka looked at the others and said, ”Call everyone else for a meeting... actually, never mind. Let’s discuss it tomorrow.”

It’s already deep into the night, he thought. There’s no rush.
