From Arsenal to the Ball God

”Yes.....”

[...]

...

After a passionate moment, the two hugged each other warmly, resting for a long while before getting up and getting dressed.

The flush on Isabella’s face hadn’t faded, and she gazed affectionately at Ma’el, aware that their relationship had entered a new stage.

”It’s time to change the sheets.”

”Okay, I’ll ask Safina... ah, I’ll change them myself tonight.”

After dressing, Ma’el smiled and walked to the bedside, bending down to signal Isabella to get on. She understood immediately, wrapping her hands around Ma’el’s neck and jumping onto his back.

He carried Isabella downstairs amid her sweet laughter.

Safina and Harry were downstairs, and seeing the two in this manner, they both gave an aunt-like smile, guessing that maybe this house would soon have a new mistress.

”Mendes and Peter called us.” Safina walked toward the kitchen to prepare food for the two while saying, ”You should call them back, there should be something they need.”

”Okay.”

Ma’el placed Isabella on the sofa, took out his phone, and searched his contacts to call Mendes.

”Ding dong.” The doorbell rang, causing him to pause, guessing it might be Mendes.

However, when Harry opened the door, he found Peter and Amelia at the doorstep... he then remembered that today was the last round of La Liga, and Mendes must have flown back to Spain to watch Ronaldo.

Drinking too much indeed makes one forgetful; his mind was a bit blurry, as if he’d forgotten all timelines.

”Please come in.”

He stood up to invite the two inside, waited for them to sit down, and then returned to Isabella.

Peter looked at the two, smiled, and said, ”We came to express our congratulations and celebrations. Yesterday was truly a wonderful day.

”One could foresee that the social media platforms would be dominated by Arsenal and you in the coming days.

”On our way here, I noticed that BBC and Sky Sports platforms have nonstop programs, all reporting about you.

”Alan Shearer, Reinke, Garrispeed, Henry, Bergkamp, and others have successively appeared on programs. This level of attention is unprecedented.”

Ma’el smiled lightly and checked Twitter and Facebook follower counts, discovering that the growth rates since yesterday were extremely rapid, with each platform increasing by over 3 million.

The total followers on both platforms had each surpassed 26 million... surely, with this surge, breaking through 35 million or even 40 million was very likely.

His advertising and endorsement fees should also rise to new heights!

He was getting closer to his target of 2 million pounds per post.

After checking, Ma’el put his phone aside and looked up, saying, ”I just want to rest well these days, not pay too much attention to these things. My brain needs to relax.”

”Understandable.”

Peter nodded, took the tea from Harry, and stated the real reason for their visit, ”Amelia and I didn’t plan on disturbing you, but we were afraid you might go on vacation soon, so we wanted to confirm some things in advance.

”The European Cup is about to start, and once this major event concludes, we will have to prepare for the new season.

”In general... the news agency still has many unresolved issues, or uncertainties, that need your consultation.”

Amelia then gave an apologetic smile. She had dressed carefully today, unaware that Isabella was present, so she felt a bit uneasy from the moment she entered.

She didn’t intend to poach anyone; it’s just... when a woman she greatly admired appeared before her, she couldn’t help but feel self-conscious, a bit nervous.

Worried at times if her hair was messy, at times if her lipstick had faded, and at times if she appeared too unkempt.

Ma’el noticed her awkwardness with a glance but didn’t mind.

He nodded to Peter, ”Go ahead, don’t worry about disturbing me, chatting with friends isn’t tiring.”

”Firstly, the issue of European Cup press passes, their levels, and specific permissions.”

Peter chuckled, spreading his hands, ”This needs clarification as soon as possible, so we can plan the shooting schedule and prepare various equipment.

”You know, entering the press conference and being able to go on the field or even enter the locker room are completely different.”

After hearing this, Ma’el thought for a moment and decided to call Deschamps to ask.

He stepped outside and dialed Deschamps’ number, stretching lazily as the call connected immediately.

”I guess it’s not about football.” Deschamps’ voice was mischievous, as if seeing through everything.

”You guessed right.”

Ma’el couldn’t help but laugh, exchanged a few pleasantries, and then explained the purpose of his call, asking if Deschamps could assist in confirming the matter.

”I can make the decision.”

Deschamps first reassured him, then teased, ”These past months, it’s not just you who’s been busy; I’ve been busy too. I streamlined the France team’s departments, fully employing people I trust.

”Now, I can make decisions on everything concerning this team.

”Uh... let me think, since you directly approached me about this, you must be aiming for maximum access?”

”Exactly.”

”Alright, but I’d like to know, what will France and I get in return?”

”A highly supportive super forward who will give their all on the pitch.”

”Haha... that’s enticing. I agree, your news agency can enter the locker room for team-following shoots and obtain all journalist permissions.”

Ma’el’s smile grew broader, ”Thanks, see you in a while.”
