From Arsenal to the Ball God

He admitted it, completely admitted it, he would no longer deceive himself.

Messi actually had an answer himself, he just wanted to confirm it, but seeing Fabregas’s expression, he turned his head again.

He glanced at Guardiola, who was surprisingly also looking at him.

Guardiola’s eyes were filled with trust, seemingly telling him, don’t worry, you’re definitely the best.

...

”Beep! Beep! Beep——!”

At the Emirates Stadium, the three long whistles symbolizing the end of the match sounded.

Norwich’s players stumbled towards the player tunnel, while Arsenal’s players rushed together quickly.

”Wow.....Aaaahhh.....!!” The cheers of the fans reverberated throughout North London, and it wasn’t just the over fifty thousand in the stadium, but tens of thousands more outside who had already hit the streets, waiting for the parade celebration, numbering over a hundred thousand.

”Arsenal won the match they needed to win the most! It seems at moments like this, they never disappoint their fans!

”It’s all over! Arsenal achieved the craziest success! They concluded the 11-12 Premier League season with a record 100 points, with 31 wins and 7 draws!

”In 38 matches, they blasted 112 goals! Their average goals per match were nearly 3! This also broke the record of 103 goals held by Chelsea!

”At the same time, in terms of goal difference, they also surpassed that Chelsea team from the 09-10 season, becoming the most dominant team in the English league with a goal difference of 78!

”Wenger’s seven years of perseverance and nurturing finally awaited the moment of the team’s bloom, perhaps he didn’t expect that this time, they would bloom so brilliantly!

”This Arsenal team definitely deserves the title of legendary; their achievements this season will be eternal!”

Below the field, Wenger walked onto the pitch with a spring in his step, joining the players at the center of the field.

Ma’el, Van Persie, Arteta, and others hugged shoulders, just grinning silly, not knowing what to say at this moment.

He did feel a bit speechless, only feeling that all the pressure on his body was gone, a sense of relaxation enveloped him, intertwined with the fatigue accumulated over a season, making him want to sleep soundly.

”Ha....!”

After walking a few steps, Ma’el suddenly took a deep breath, a sense of numbness washing over him.

It wasn’t until after a while that goosebumps appeared all over his body, happiness and joy instantly surrounded him.

People’s feelings seemed synchronized, and it was at this moment, all of Arsenal’s players raised their hands and started running.

”Yeah...!”

”Undefeated end!”

”Haha...!”

”We are the best!”

Ma’el took a deep breath again, looking at the sunlit Emirates Stadium, his heart filled with satisfaction and accomplishment.

wins, 7 draws!

Personally scored 43 goals, 20 assists!

Season double crown!

This is definitely a perfect way to end.....they achieved all their goals, leaving no regrets at the last moment!

Now they can be referred to as the greatest team in the history of English football!

”Come on...Arsenal.....!Come on...Arsenal.....!Come on...Arsenal.....!」

The familiar cheers rose again, and the team’s mascot and all the staff ran out of the passageway to the sideline.

Ma’el wrapped his arm around the mascot’s shoulder, jumping in celebration here, resonating with the fans in the stands.

Many had tears in their eyes, many had shouted themselves hoarse, they found it very hard to summarize what they had achieved this season.

Only the scenes of one victory after another, moments of celebration flashed by in their minds like a slideshow, continuously elevating their emotions.

”Mr. Zhang, if you were to find an ancient poem to describe them at this moment, which one would you use?”

”Let me think, I might use ’At the peak, the whole mountain view appears so small!’ Arsenal almost broke all single-season records related to a team in English football!

”They now stand at the peak! I think... at this moment, whenever they recall those dominant teams from past seasons, they would feel like, that’s all there is to it!

”Hahaha.....it must be so, and how would you describe Ma’el?”

”To describe him? That would be more difficult than describing the whole team, so I’ll use a very familiar line.

”With the wind in their sails, galloped fast, seeing all the blossoms of Chang’an in a day!!

”In his first top league season, a player reached heights many cannot attain in their lifetime! Perhaps he no longer needs to climb higher, he has already become an immortal legend!

”Or perhaps, like those ancient top scholars, after reaching a high point in life, he embarks on a new journey!

”This time, it’s a journey about becoming the best, a quest for the true pinnacle!”

”Well.....so let me summarize it for them, I’d say it’s simple, just celebrate! Celebrate on the pitch, and then celebrate off the pitch! Then get drunk and go home for a good night’s sleep!

”After all, no matter how glorious this day is, you always have to rest at night!

”Congratulations, Arsenal! Congratulations, Wenger! And congratulations, Ma’el! I’m Zhan Jun, see you next season in the Premier League!”

”.....”

”Come on!”

Below the field, Ma’el took a flag embroidered with a cannon from the stands and draped it over his shoulders as a cape.

Immediately, he ran along the sideline, turning left and right at times, causing the cape to flutter left and right, ”Oh.....!”

Feeling the dazzling sunlight, the breezes brushing his face, and looking at the passionate faces in the stands, he thought of his situation at the moment.

Ma’el’s face was radiant with a smile, if he could, if his physical ability could keep up, he wished to keep running.

Forward, forward, always forward!

Let the emotions of this moment never stop, let him live forever in this instant, forget all troubles, just knowing to enjoy the final victory, just knowing to be happy.

ps: My wife who stayed up late with me collapsed yesterday, went to the hospital with her at midnight, fortunately, nothing serious.

I’m okay (barely hanging on), but her health is weak, and I feel like if this continues something bad will happen eventually, so now accompanying her to run and adjust her schedule.
