From Arsenal to the Ball God

”But look at the joyful smiles on their faces now, listen to their loud songs!

”I think everyone understands why we fight and what all of this truly means! We will continue to move forward!”

After speaking, he waved to Amelia and then rushed towards the underground garage.

”Mr. Wenger, after such a great success, what is the team’s goal for next season?” Amelia asked Wenger, throwing out the final question.

Wenger approached the microphone, scratching his eyebrow: ”Unlike some coaches who are passionate but very steady when setting goals, I’m quite the opposite.

”As early as the end of the 02-03 season, I said that next season we would strive to win unbeaten, and the next year we succeeded in doing so.”

He rarely boasted with a raised eyebrow and continued: ”This year, without any specific goals, we achieved such a surprising success.”

”So, I really have no reason not to set a grand goal.

”I believe the team will remain unbeaten next season, we will break the 49-match unbeaten record, and even Milan’s 58! We will be more successful and greater than this season!

”Bye!”

Wenger waved to the journalists, and without bothering with their follow-up questions, he turned and walked into the elevator in pursuit of a new moment of celebration.

Perhaps he was a bit drunk, or maybe the media thought he was making big talk.

But after such a glorious season, with the team’s financial situation about to improve, he believed that as long as Ma’el stayed healthy, they would have the chance to achieve more!

Maybe, the goal he had always wanted to accomplish, also had a chance to be realized.

The time is ripe!

...

”Buzz buzz buzz.....!”

”Arsenal...! Arsenal...!”

Outside the stadium, while waiting for tens of thousands of fans, Arsenal’s bus finally slowly drove out from the garage exit.

”Puff puff puff.....!!”

Pink confetti prepared in advance scattered from the rooftops, falling on the fans’ heads, as if everyone was shaking their arms, immersing the place in a joyful atmosphere.

Wenger and Ma’el, having gotten onto the bus late, could only board the second bus, which mainly carried members of the Kroenke Family and players who couldn’t fit in the first.

But it was okay, the Premier League trophy was on this bus, and they could hold a parade with the Premier League champions, wearing crowns.

Moreover, the place where the two of them were, was often the center of the fans’ attention.

”Oh.....!”

Ma’el brandished the Premier League trophy, smilingly showing it to the fans below, eliciting a wave of enthusiastic cheers.

They were high above, their every movement could stir the crowd’s emotions.....making each of them feel like triumphant generals, being welcomed by the city’s residents along the road.

It was estimated that at least 200,000 people would take to the streets today, waiting along the parade route.

”Hi.” A tall young man came to Ma’el’s side, wearing a suit, looking very robust and extremely confident.

Josh Kroenke, Ma’el was familiar with his face, even though he hadn’t grown a beard yet, he looked like a recent college graduate, but with an elite demeanor.

”You might not have met me, or heard my name.”

Little Krenke patted his chest, extended his right hand to Ma’el, and warmly said: ”But we will certainly become great friends, trust me.”

”Josh.”

Ma’el said his name, shaking hands with him as his face showed a look of surprise.

Little Krenke raised an eyebrow, the astonishment on his face slowly turning to brightness, seemingly not expecting to have such fame even in the United Kingdom.

He squeezed Ma’el’s hand tighter, feeling a bit of regret for not having met sooner, ”It was a great season, I think you’ve heard compliments so much that you’ve gotten tired of them.

”Since you already know who I am, let’s talk about the future.”

Ma’el nodded, waiting for him to continue, handing the championship trophy to Wenger beside him.

Little Krenke looked down at the Arsenal fans with a face flushed with excitement, saying: ”Don’t you feel, this is a particularly crazy, wonderful and beautiful scene?

”Before, when watching other teams’ victory parades, I often imagined what it felt like to be the one standing on the bus? I would also speculate a feeling and try to empathize with them.

”But when I stand here and experience it all, I find it completely different from what I imagined.”

Ma’el looked at the packed streets below, nodding slowly, acknowledging his statement.

”Their enthusiasm is unimaginable! Anyone who has gone through this will become an Arsenal fan, I guarantee it!”

Whether others would become Arsenal fans he didn’t know, but Ma’el could see that Kroenke was certainly falling in love with this team.

”So.....” Little Krenke, with a look of anticipation, expressed his vision for the future, ”This team now has 14 top league titles, and an extremely high brand value.

”In English Football, we are not inferior to anyone!”

”As long as we can continue to achieve such success, and make some gains on the European stage, in time, we can surely become the best team in England!

”And even the best in Europe, the whole world!”

After saying this, his expression became more serious, as if fearing Ma’el would underestimate him, he straightened up and declared: ”In fact, I have seven years of work experience, and I’ve been doing well in the United States.
