From Arsenal to the Ball God

Rainbow Move!

”Oh.....!!” The fans at the scene were dumbfounded, many with their mouths agape. They never expected Ma’el could actually pull off such a move.

Acrobatics!

Magic!

After landing, Ma’el chased after Hulahan’s back, but his rainbow move was far from perfect. Although the height was there, the forward momentum was lacking.

Hulahan is of the nimble type; with a turn, he used his body to separate the ball from Ma’el.

”Bang!” Ma’el had to seek physical confrontation upfront, resulting in knocking down the opponent from behind due to an overly excited state.

”Beep!” The referee blew the whistle, calling a foul on him.

He laughed and helped up the Irish international Hulahan, who wore a helpless smile, then turned and ran back to his position. He was an old rival in the Championship, even having scored a hat trick against him before.

Looks like Level 2 is still not enough; if it were Level 3, perhaps Hulahan would be outplayed!

Better use more practical Skills to strive for this crucial victory rather than fancy ones!

The friendliness between the two sides is genuine, but one must not forget what they are here to do; this match could be even more critical than the championship battle.

”.....”

”Sagna’s advancing Speed is fast! He seized the transition opportunity! He’s coming down the flank to the end line!

”Norwich’s defensive line retreated quickly too, creating a local two-on-two situation along with Gervinho!

”Pass to Gervinho.....beautiful!! A brilliant move to Stop the Ball and spin, he can take a shot directly!!

”Gervinho, is this Wenger’s reason for putting him here today?! A left-footed Dipping Shot!!

”Oh oh oh.....!! The ball is in! Arsenal has taken a one-nil lead! They are just one step away from greatness!

”In the 39th minute, while Ma’el was tightly marked by Norwich, it was Gervinho who stepped up on the other side!”

On the field, chased by numerous Arsenal players, Gervinho sprinted toward the sidelines, sticking out his tongue, raising both arms to vibrate as if enduring great heat.

”Yeahhhhh.....!!”

”Beautiful! Beautiful!!”

”Well done!” Ma’el caught up from the other side, dashing toward him, and leaping up to hug his shoulder.

One-nil!

They scored first!

After his passionate celebration, Gervinho turned to embrace and high-five with Arsenal players, his chest heaving dramatically, his expression gradually changing, tears streaming down.

”I have the chance to do something too! The chance to help this team take a step towards greatness!”

He shouted tearfully, tightly holding Van Persie, ”I’m not the Côte d’Ivoire deadweight, not the perennial champion loser, I can share the load with you and Ma’el.”

Ma’el watched nearby, stepping forward to pat his shoulder, then turned and walked away.

Seeing his teammates’ mental state put him greatly at ease.....he felt a strong sensation, certain that no accidents would occur in this match.

”Bang!!”

Even when Hulahan scored a goal during a corner battle in the 42nd minute, his mindset did not change; expressionlessly, he returned to his position.

To lose, the team would have lost early, they’d suffer a crushing defeat to Manchester United at season’s start, be hit hard by Manchester City during the season, then upset by small clubs like Swansea and Fulham.

They wouldn’t after winning 30 matches, drawing 7, lose in the 38th round!

They are bound to overtake the score and finish the season undefeated with victory and 100 points, leaving behind their own legendary record!

”Bang!”

In the 44th minute of the match, a passing ball from Arteta landed in front of Ma’el.

This didn’t seem like a good chance; on the left flank, there were at least four Norwich defenders, with only Ramsey nearby, far off.

”Bang bang bang...!”

But as Ma’el dribbled a few steps, he discovered a small opening to cut inside, between central defender Russell Martin and the trailing Hulahan.

As long as he seized the chance to cut over, the dense defense of those four would crumble.

He slowed his Speed, recalling his Fancy moves, and decided to try boldly.

This time, he was not just playing; he focused and stayed serious.....he needed to perform his best, fastest move within his capabilities to break through.

”Deng deng..deng!”

As Hulahan slowed too, preparing to intervene, Ma’el sprang into action; his left foot stopped the ball, then his body faced the center, with his right foot on the left side of the ball.

”Pa.....bang!!”

His right foot tapped the ball towards the right, quickly bypassing Russell Martin’s charge, never losing contact with the ball, but faster than it, reaching the right side of the ball, then moving it left again.

Cow Tail!

Within fractions of a second, his foot executed two directional changes on the ball, very smoothly!

”Swoosh!” Hulahan’s kicking foot swung air, unable to comprehend why he missed until losing the guard.

Ma’el swiftly sidestepped between the two, heading for the center position, with the goal open.

”Oh...!!” Tens of thousands of Arsenal fans erupted into cheers; they seemed to witness another kind of Ma’el yet again.

The one constant is, their ace striker, helping finish goals again!

”Pa.....bang!!”

Arriving at the penalty area, Ma’el easily took a shoulder drop to outwit central defender Ryan Bennett, then blasted Ruddy’s guarded goal with a classic aiming far shooting close technique.

”Aaaahhhhh.....!!

”Wow.....!!” The Emirates Stadium quickly turned into a boiling cauldron, engulfed in a thunderous cheer, tens of thousands of Arsenal fans crazily waving their flags and scarves.

Two-one!

Ma’el helped them lead again!

It’s still him!

Amidst the thunderous cheering, Ma’el dodged left and right, evading several teammates trying to intercept him, pointing a finger at the sky as he ran to the edge of the field.

League’s 42nd goal!

A goal in the final battle too!

With excessive excitement and forceful running, his slender cheeks trembled with his stride.

As he neared the sidelines, he turned sideways, kissing his fingers.....no special meaning of course, just looked good.

Finally, standing in the corner flag zone, he clenched his fists, and after an intense combination of punches to the corner flag, shouted possibly the season’s last: ”Vamos.....!!”
