From Arsenal to the Ball God

Just like at the beginning of the season, he extended his right hand when he was still ten meters away from Wenger and gradually slowed down.

He saw the radiant expression on Wenger’s face, the delight at the corners of his mouth and eyes, and he also saw the other extend his right hand.

”Clap!”

The two men’s right hands came together with a heavy slap and then embraced tightly.

”We did it!” Ma’el shouted in Wenger’s ear, feeling the professor’s body tremble.

”Yes, we did it.” Wenger said nothing else, only repeating Ma’el’s words in a trembling voice. His current mood was known to no one but himself.

Ma’el quickly turned away to celebrate with his teammates, then ran to his position, waiting for the real end of the match.

Wenger, on the other hand, stayed in place, first taking off his jacket and then putting it back on, adjusting his sleeves and tie.

He then went to the mirror near the bench, tidying up his hair.

”Second half stoppage time, 1 minute!” The stadium DJ quickly announced the stoppage time, and the fourth official raised the stoppage board.

Wenger walked to the touchline and stood there for a while, then paced back and forth, then walked to the bench to drink water, repeating the same actions over and over.

He could no longer remain calm, only wishing time would go faster..... This one minute was undoubtedly one of the longest in Wenger’s life.

When the match went past 90+1 minutes, noticing that the referee hadn’t blown the whistle, anxiety appeared on Wenger’s face as he spread his hands toward the fourth official nearby.

Seeing the fourth official ignore him, he stepped forward, ready to argue.

”Beep! Beep! Beep——!”

Suddenly, the sweet sound of the whistle, like a silver bell, echoed throughout the stadium, as if triggering some mechanism.

”AaahhhAhaAha...!!”

”Wow aaah.....!!”

The open Emirates Stadium erupted with at least 130 decibels of sound, with no other football ground as fervent at that moment. The fans’ shouting alone created a sensation of a landslide.

Wenger abruptly stopped in his tracks, turning sharply to look at the field, seeing Arsenal’s players either kneeling or lying down, all pointing to the sky or raising their arms in jubilation.

”We are the champions!”

”Great champions!!”

”Undefeated champions!!”

”Yeah...!”

He then noticed Philip, Hans, and others rushing onto the field, along with several players wearing substitute vests.

”Huff... Huff...!”

Wenger didn’t know why he was still standing there in a daze, his breathing became heavy, a sense of release he’d never felt before enveloped him.

His eyes were red, the mix of grievances, joy, and relief made his eyes ache.

Over the past 7 seasons, he had tasted too much humiliation and betrayal, unwillingness, and loneliness. Before sleeping each night, his heart would break, and the next day he’d sew it back together, continuing to face reality.

But now, he was incredibly certain that his heart had been completely healed.

”Thump... Thump...!”

Moreover, it pounded vigorously for this team, for Ma’el leading the team to victory, providing the rhythm for their celebration!

Arsenal is the champion!!

Wenger clenched his fists tightly, his body leaning back as he shouted, ”Yeah...!!”

His features scrunched together, allowing photographers to capture the wrinkles on his face.

After a long shout, he started moving, sprinting towards the field to join the crowd in celebration.

Behind him, his old rival Mancini had been waiting to shake hands, but upon seeing this, he gave a relieved smile and headed towards the player tunnel.

...

”Oh oh oh...!!”

In the passionately overflowing Emirates Stadium, the shouts didn’t stop, nor did they diminish, as fans set off red and white smoke flares and lit fireworks in their hands amidst the frenzy.

”Crack, crack!” Countless flashes glittered in the stands, followed by a surge of red mist into the sky, gathering together.

”Charge, charge!!”

”Champions!!”

”Go celebrate!”

”It’s been 7 years! Hahaha!! It’s been 7 years! Ah...! Do you know how I’ve survived these 7 years?!”

”Thank you, Wenger! Thank you, Ma’el!!”

As a handful of fans roared and rushed onto the field, those holding smoke bombs also charged in, surrounding the area in a haze.

Manchester City’s players quickly ran towards the player tunnel, partly to avoid looking out of place and partly for fear of attacks from extreme fans.

Before entering the tunnel, Nasri couldn’t resist turning back one last time to take a deep look at the celebration on the field.

At this moment, deep regret appeared in his eyes. If he had stayed, he wouldn’t be fleeing now like a rat, but celebrating here with the fans.

Involuntarily, tears welled up in his eyes, making his emotions uncontrollable.

Turning back again, he saw Klich, who was already in tears, leaning against the tunnel wall, sobbing with his mouth pressed shut.

This intensified Nasri’s emotions, causing him to clench his teeth, his body trembling.

Once upon a time, his and Klich’s dream was also to help this team win the Premier League, but unfortunately, they didn’t succeed and ended up on opposing sides with the club.

Ma’el... This name they once hated to the extreme now stirred a sense of admiration in them.

Nasri stepped into the player tunnel, hearing Klich’s choked voice beside him, ”Celebrate well... Arsene.”

He put his arm around Klich’s shoulder, quickly leading him away; all of this was no longer their concern.

”Buzz buzz buzz...!”

In the dark sky, a glider completely white flew past, trailing a long banner — ”11-12 Season Premier League Champions - Arsenal...!!”

Everything near the Emirates Stadium seemed to be imbued with an air of joy.

”Hiss hiss hiss...!!”

”Pop...!”

Before long, thousands of fans gathered on the field, their smoke bombs shooting straight into the sky, their fireworks depicting the emotions of the moment with crackle and pop.

At the center of the field, Ma’el and Van Persie clapped and hugged in celebration, surrounded by hundreds of Arsenal fans, yet none disturbed them.

”You have great merit!”

Van Persie’s nose felt extremely sour, unable to hold back tears after saying the first sentence, ”Maybe if you hadn’t come, I would have left here... but now, I won’t leave!”

Ma’el said nothing, just patted him on the shoulder, then exhaled a long breath of relief.

The third title of his career had arrived!

This season is finally nearing its end; as long as they remain undefeated in the last two matches, they’ll finish with a Double Crown, ending perfectly!

At this moment, looking around the entire stadium, he felt a sense of dominance over everything.

Over the past season, they were undoubtedly the best team in London, the best in all of England, the rulers of the Premier League!

Step by step to now, it hasn’t been easy... Their next step, it’s time to challenge all of Europe, to challenge the world!

”Huff...!”

Ma’el exhaled a long breath, resting an arm on Van Persie’s shoulder, enjoying the fireworks display together.

”Ma’el!”

”Come on!”

”Raise them!”

”Ah...!”

The two stood like that for a long time until they were lifted overhead by rushing fans, swiftly circulating amidst the fervor.

”Hahaha...!”

Van Persie pointed at Ma’el in the air, laughing, ”King! You must wear a crown later! This season belongs to you!”

”We both will wear it together!” Ma’el cheerfully pointed at him, then added, ”Let’s let Mr. Wenger wear it too, he surely welcomes it like a long-awaited rain, after so very long.”

”Yes!” Van Persie nodded, stripping off his shirt in the fans’ embrace, raising his bare arms.

Ma’el clung to the shoulders of the fans holding him, a bit scared of falling.

Seeing the field from a different angle, it did feel a bit different.... He caught clearer glimpses of the people, seeing countless weeping with joy, countless waving their team flags, and he saw Mr. Wenger being lifted up.

”Haha...!”

He laughed twice more, lifting his hands and waving them, the joy of all this season’s victories and goals amplified and surged together in his heart!

In 2012’s English football scene, there was no Aguero’s 93:20, only Ma’el’s 60+ stats leading Arsenal to undefeated victory!

wins and 6 draws!

This would be a legendary record, the highest single-season win in English football history!

On this day, the main theme of North London is only one — celebrate, celebrate, and celebrate again!!
