From Arsenal to the Ball God

Ma’el relaxed a bit and guessed again, ”Drogba?”

The female host shook her head, and he pinched his chin, ”Bergkamp?”

”Pires?”

”Van Persie?!”

When he guessed several names in a row and mentioned Van Persie, the crowd burst into laughter, ”Hahaha.....!”

Van Persie waved his hands awkwardly and hid beside Mertesacker.

Ma’el laughed heartily, knowing it wasn’t General Fan, he was just teasing him.

”It’s Rooney.” The female host eventually said a name, not letting Ma’el continue to guess, and she continued, ”So, Ma’el, do you know why I’m asking this question?”

This time Ma’el was very confident, he didn’t even think and said, ”Because I’ve swept the three major awards too.”

As soon as he spoke, the Arsenal supporters at the Emirates Stadium erupted in excitement, ”Aaaahh...!”

The female host didn’t keep them in suspense, she glanced at the script and, riding the wave of excitement in the venue, exclaimed, ”Due to his exceptional performance, Ma’el has received unanimous recognition from the official bodies and the FWA and PFA!

”In the 11-12 season, he simultaneously won Season’s Best Player, FWA Player of the Year, and PFA Player of the Year! He swept the three major awards!!”

”Clap clap clap.....!” Amidst the fierce applause, three female presenters came out with three commemorative trophies and approached the front of the stage.

Ma’el wedged the Golden Boot Award between his forearm and chest, took the official one with his left hand, pinched the FWA with his right thumb and index finger, and held the PFA with the right half of his palm.

He couldn’t hold them all!

Four awards!

He laughed freely and exhaled a long breath of relief, raising his brows toward Wenger, Henry, Van Persie, and others beside him.

This season was truly a fruitful one; in his trophy room, there would be two more championship trophies, two championship medals, two English League Cup awards, and four Premier League awards!

To introduce the honors he received now might not be finished without over two hundred words.

”Snap snap!” The flashbulbs kept popping as more and more reporters gathered to capture the moment.

This made Ma’el remember when he first started his career, only the Sheffield United beat reporter photographed him; no one had any interest in him.

Then at the beginning of this season, though he arrived with the title of the secondary league’s Demon King, attracting some anticipation, people didn’t think he’d achieve much success.

Perhaps at that time, people thought if he scored a double 5 tally for his new season at Arsenal, it would be passing; achieving a double 10 would mean Arsenal hit the jackpot!

Who could have imagined that over the past year, he’s shattered countless records, received numerous achievements, and became a true superstar!

Every day, living at the center of the spotlight, his appearance is always a focus of attention!

At this peak moment in life, Ma’el’s mind flashes through one image after another.

There’s Isabella in the stands, his family, and the team members who accompanied him throughout. His agent, Mendes, and Deschamps, with whom he’s about to embark on a new journey.

But finally, he thinks of Gilbert, the good brother who was like a hand and foot during the early days of his career.

When one achieves great success, they often remember how it began and reminisce over old people and things. He’s no exception.

Next season, when Gilbert returns to the team, he must partner with him to achieve even greater success and sit with him at the center circle of the stadium, celebrating and chatting for hours!

”Thank you!!”

Ma’el finds it difficult to hold all four trophies in his hands, he shouted in front of the female host’s microphone and stepped down from the stage.

All Arsenal team members already have a bottle of champagne in hand. Seeing Ma’el coming down, they mischievously popped the corks and slowly approached.

As a top striker, Ma’el’s insight and reflexes are extremely quick. He swiftly turned his body and changed direction, running towards the player tunnel.

”Eee hee hee.....!”

Van Persie and Mertesacker sneered and started chasing Ma’el.

Even Wenger, Hans, and Henry, all casually dressed, regardless of demeanor, chased after Ma’el.

The player having achieved so much today should be properly celebrated, marking the official beginning of their off-field festivities!

After running ahead into the player tunnel, Ma’el saw Mendes and Deschamps already down from the elevator, waiting for him.

He quickly arrived at Mendes’s side and handed the four awards to him, ”Hold these for me, I’ll head back to the dressing room first!”

Then, he winked at Deschamps, ”Mr. Deschamps, we’ll meet again during France team training; I look forward to success on the continental stage with you, I’ll be off now!”

Mendes didn’t have time to speak before the awards were thrust upon him. Deschamps, seeing him fumbling, took the Golden Boot Award to lighten the load.

”He?” Deschamps watched Ma’el’s quickly departing figure, shrugged in confusion, ”Why’s he in such a hurry?”

”Don’t know.”

Mendes shook his head, looked down at the three meticulously crafted trophies in his hands, ”Probably to celebrate in the locker room, what else would he do now?”

”Thump thump thump!!” The sound of cleats hitting the ground echoed, drawing their attention to another direction.

Just then, General Fan charged ahead with a champagne bottle, Great Guardian Mertesacker and Arteta positioned on opposite sides, and the other players followed like a swarm of shrimp soldiers and crab generals.

”Whoa...!” The two finally understood why Ma’el was running; he went back for champagne, afraid he had no weapon in hand.
