Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 446: Chapter 446: Unable to Speak

The next morning.

In Ian Shelby’s villa, Mia Lane, who had slept peacefully beside Justin Kingston for the night, woke up carefully and got out of bed. She went to the kitchen first and discussed today’s breakfast with the nanny.

Each ingredient was beneficial for wound healing.

Then she prepared the tools for changing his dressing: antiseptic solution, cotton, gauze, scissors...

Mia needed to change Justin’s dressing before breakfast.

Changing and disinfecting frequently would help the wound heal faster.

On the same morning, Barbara Sutton went to the company early, every day she was full of energy.

Today she wore a beige French-style dress.

At first glance, it had a vintage feel, gentle in temperament.

An apricot bow tied at the neckline, feminine charm emanated from its softness, the waist-tightened design, A-line skirt, was light and flowy with texture.

The first thing she did upon arriving at the vice president’s office was to water the potted plants there.

It was easy to see that she was also someone who loved life.

Finn Morgan also arrived. As he stepped out of the elevator, he happened to pass by the door, and saw Barbara’s silhouette through the glass wall, he didn’t slow down, watching her for a few seconds.

Barbara was quite perceptive, lively and energetic, with a good work attitude and high efficiency.

This was Finn’s evaluation of her as her direct supervisor.

She worked so late into overtime yesterday yet came in so early today, truly a role model for young people today.

Finn walked into the CEO’s office, perhaps because he spent a lot of time with CEO Kingston, or maybe it’s just his nature.

Finn was serious and unsmiling, wearing a perfectly tailored custom suit, he appeared particularly handsome.

In the villa.

Justin got up, sat on the chair, and unbuttoned his shirt. Mia carefully helped him take off his shirt.

The gauze wrapped from his shoulder had been stained brown by scabbed blood.

Her movements were gentle, using the scissors to slowly cut open the gauze.

Justin felt no pain, as he took painkillers every day.

The room was very quiet.

Anton Miller was also awake, watching them from the bed.

When Mia carefully removed the scabbed gauze, Anton saw the conspicuous wound at least ten centimeters long. It moved him and also pained his heart.

Mia gently disinfected him, changed the dressing and gauze.

She appeared calm, but her heart ached deeply.

Anton recalled the moment Justin shielded him from the knife, his dark eyes growing deeper and more complex in emotion.

After changing the dressing, she tied a knot in the bandage, helped him wear the shirt, and buttoned it for him.

Justin couldn’t help but grasp her small hand in front of him, gazing at her deeply.

”Time for breakfast.” She met his gaze, a slight smile on her lips.

Then she looked at the man lying on the other bed, ”Anton, want to join us?”

Anton got out of bed.

Everyone went to the dining room together.

Anton remained silent, wanting to say thank you to Justin, holding it back since last night, but still couldn’t bring himself to say it.

He truly was a complicated person.

After breakfast.

Finn Morgan called, first asking about the extent of Justin’s recovery, then proactively reporting work to CEO Kingston.

Mia told Ian Shelby, ”I’ll go get him the stomach medicine, make a quick trip to Emerald Cove.”

”Be careful.”

”It’s no trouble,” she smiled and said, ”it’s not far. Looks like we’ll need to stay here for another two days, recovering quite quickly.”

Ian said, ”This is a new type of medicine, specially designed for knife wound healing, very effective.”

Mia was very gratified, proud that her apprentice had achieved so much, developing many special effect medicines!

”Then I’ll get going, he’s still on the phone, I’ll tell him later, I’ll be right back.”

”Okay, go ahead.”

With that, Mia left the living room and got into the driver’s seat of Anton’s Volvo in the yard.

Justin and Finn talked for about ten minutes, just as the call ended, a call from the police station came in.

He answered, ”Hello, Officer Porter.”

”Mr. Kingston, there are two situations here I need to inform you about,” Officer Porter’s voice was serious, as if something unexpected had happened.
