Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 426: Chapter 426: Worry

Anton Miller watched the police subdue Elias Colton, then walked over to them.

”Get in the car and support him,” Mia Lane said. ”I’ll drive us to Ian Shelby’s place to remove the dagger. Conditions in the car are too limited.”

”I’ll drive,” Anton Miller said, opening the driver’s side door.

Mia Lane was worried, ”You’re injured too!”

”I can still drive,” he said as he got into the driver’s seat.

Mia Lane didn’t have time to argue and looked over at the girl by the roadside, ”Mary, drive Mr. Kingston’s car back! We’re heading to Dr. Shelby’s!”

Mary was standing by the roadside, holding two bouquets of lilies, and nodded blankly, utterly stunned.

Scenes of fighting like these are only seen on TV, so dangerous, a single mistake could cost lives.

The police were handling things here, because Mia Lane had already explained everything clearly over the phone, involving Mr. Kingston, and no one dared to neglect it.

”To Ian Shelby’s,” Mia Lane got into the car, nervous internally but outwardly calm.

The car started quickly!

Anton Miller gripped the steering wheel, eyes fixed forward, his brow slightly furrowed. He was injured too, but could still hold on.

In the back seat, Mia Lane reached out to support Justin Kingston, letting him lean against her.

She looked at the dagger stuck in his back with distress, seeing the painful expression on his face, ”Hold on for a while, it’s not ideal to pull it out in the car, many situations could arise with no emergency measures.”

”I know,” he said, his voice somewhat muffled, fine beads of sweat appearing on his forehead.

As long as she’s safe, he can relax.

Anton Miller felt incredibly conflicted; Justin Kingston had taken that knife for him.

The Volvo sped towards Ian Shelby’s...

Mia Lane dialed Ian Shelby’s phone, informing him of Justin Kingston’s situation, making Ian Shelby break out in a cold sweat.

Meanwhile, Justin Kingston took out his phone, uneasily calling the police station, saying in a deep voice, ”Elias Colton must be strictly dealt with, no bail.”

”Yes, CEO Kingston,” the other party understood his meaning.

Anton Miller also understood his meaning; Justin Kingston was protecting him, afraid Elias Colton would return, that guy was a desperate criminal.

A few minutes later—

The fast-moving black Volvo stopped in the courtyard in front of Ian Shelby’s villa.

Anton Miller quickly exited the car, opened the car door, and saw Justin Kingston’s back already dyed with blood, the dagger handle exposed, his heart aching.

Extending his arm towards Justin Kingston, he said nothing.

Justin Kingston narrowed his gaze, not looking at him, staring at the hand in front of him, as if time had stopped.

Mia Lane saw this scene too and felt inexplicably relieved.

The next second, Justin Kingston placed his large palm on Anton Miller’s arm, with Mia Lane’s support, he found strength and moved forward.

Each movement brought painful tugging to his back.

Anton Miller and Mia Lane supported Justin Kingston, stepping into the lounge.

In a room on the first floor, Ian Shelby had the surgical table ready, along with various medical instruments, items needed to prevent infection and stop bleeding.

Once in the lounge, Ian Shelby emerged, ”How did this happen?” He took Justin Kingston, who had lost a lot of blood, from Anton Miller’s hands, ”Oh my God, so much blood.”

Anton Miller stood still, just watching them enter the operating room...

The moment Justin Kingston took the knife for him, the instant he pulled Anton Miller vigorously out of danger, replayed in Anton Miller’s mind over and over.

Did he actually disregard his own safety?

In the brightly lit lounge, Anton Miller ignored his own pain, worried about the man in the operating room.

Anton Miller had also received quite a few punches, with bruises still visible at the corner of his mouth.

But at this moment worrying about someone else, he didn’t feel any pain.

Mia Lane was also a doctor, unusually calm, assisting Ian Shelby, only she knew how painful her heart felt.

”Give him some anesthetic,” Mia Lane said with concern, wiping the sweat from Justin Kingston’s forehead with a towel.

”No need,” Ian Shelby said. ”Pulling out the dagger is just a one-second thing.” He handed a towel to Justin Kingston, ”Bite down on it, endure it just a little while longer.”
