Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 433: Chapter 433: A Mother’s Protection

Kristina Kingston’s cold eyes locked onto her, her heart raised high, and her body suddenly stiffened!

Mary continued to speak, comforting her, ”But he’s okay now. Dr. Shelby pulled out the dagger, and the wound has been stitched up. It didn’t hit any vital organs.”

”What do you mean by okay?!” Kristina immediately burst with anger upon hearing this, ”A dagger stabbing into the body and pulling it out is called okay?! Why don’t you try it on yourself?!”

Mary dared not speak recklessly, lowering her eyes in acknowledgment of her mistake.

A stab in the son’s body is a pain in the mother’s heart.

Just as Kristina was turning to head towards Ian Shelby, a Volvo drove into the yard.

It was Anton Miller’s car, which Kristina recognized at a glance.

The person who stepped out of the driver’s seat was Mia Lane.

Kristina stared at her coldly, her face as still as an ancient dried-up well, wishing she could tear her apart! That deceitful woman!

As Mia Lane closed the car door, she finally noticed the Lincoln car, hesitating for a moment, then turned her eyes toward the living room—

Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, she met Kristina Kingston’s angry gaze, the icy and dark stare sweeping over, as if wanting to pierce through her.

Mia Lane had no retreat, stepping into the living room, strategizing with each step.

What’s going on? Did she find out?

She shouldn’t know, right? Butler Shelby and Mrs. Zhou have been repeatedly instructed.

Mia Lane didn’t realize it was her repeated instructions that made the situation quickly reach Kristina Kingston’s ears.

Stepping into the living room, Mia Lane distinctly felt the tense atmosphere, the low, cold pressure making it feel like falling into an ice cellar.

Kristina Kingston stared at her with cold eyes, stepping forward and slapping her across the face, ”You kept it from me?! Justin is my son! If anything happens to him, can you bear the responsibility?”

This slap landed on Mia Lane’s face, shocking everyone around!

Mia Lane’s head turned with the slap, yet she did not raise a hand to cover it.

She understood, it was known.

Composing herself, she looked at Kristina calmly, explaining, ”Because I was afraid it would worry you.”

The two locked eyes together.

Kristina was not convinced, ”Quickly, get your things, take me to see him!”

Butler Shelby swiftly got the luggage ready, and at this point, Mia Lane could no longer refuse.

So, she stepped forward, picked up the suitcase, and glanced at Kristina, ”Let’s go.”

Kristina followed with a cold aura.

After Mia Lane placed the suitcase, Kristina was already seated in the Volvo’s passenger seat. She detested this car but compromised to see her son.

Mia Lane sat in the driver’s seat, kindly reminding, ”Auntie, please buckle your seatbelt.”

Kristina, impatiently, complied.

Mia Lane fastened her seatbelt and started the car. Her right cheek stung with a burning pain. She glanced in the rear-view mirror, noticing her cheek was turning red.

”This is Anton Miller’s car?” Kristina asked with a cold, dark face, just wanting to confirm once more.

”Yes.” This time she told the truth.

”What happened?” The middle-aged woman’s voice was cold and fierce, ”How did my son get stabbed? Who was Anton Miller fighting with?”

”The police are still investigating,” Mia Lane answered truthfully, ”But they’ve already called. The other party is named Elias Colton, also in the entertainment industry. He held a grudge against Anton, and they clashed. We just happened to see it, and Justin went up to help. Unexpectedly, the other party used a concealed weapon.”

Kristina said nothing, imagining the scene of being stabbed, her heart bled!

Her son once saved her from a fire; how could she allow him to risk his life for others again?

She took out her phone, dialed a number, and coldly ordered, ”Jerry, investigate Elias Colton, check all his past records, and if there are none, make some up for him.” Having said that, she hung up.

Mia Lane turned to look at her in confusion, noticing an unprecedented look of ruthless determination on her face.

”Dare to stab my son? I’ll make sure he rots in prison!” Kristina gripped her phone fiercely, ”He’ll never come out in his lifetime! If it doesn’t work out, I might even take his life.”
