Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 248: Chapter 248: Mia Lane Visits the Kingston Group

Just after editing a message and sending it out, Anton Miller’s phone rang.

He glanced at the caller ID, his slender fingers sliding over the answer button.

The person on the other end reported quietly, ”Boss, Justin Kingston has woken up with selective amnesia; he doesn’t even recognize his own mother.”

Anton Miller’s footsteps halted, not too pleased, ”Selective amnesia?”

”Yes.”

”Does he still remember who he is?” Anton Miller thought the situation had already lost its fun. If Justin Kingston forgot about Mia Lane, what’s the point of flaunting anything?

Even if he were standing with Mia Lane in front of Justin Kingston, it wouldn’t affect him.

At this moment, Anton Miller felt quite frustrated.

”I don’t know if he remembers,” the other person truthfully reported. ”It’s said that this type of selective amnesia is hard to cure and was caused by trauma—he might be like this for the rest of his life.”

Anton Miller felt like cursing, ”I got it.” After saying this, he hung up the phone.

”Anton, who has selective amnesia?”

His eyes subtly shifted, noticing Sean Dalton standing right next to him, unaware of when he arrived, listening all along?

Their gazes met, his expression a bit cold.

”Don’t look at me like that!” Frightened, she quickly explained, ”I didn’t hear anything!”

Then she smiled and asked, ”How about we play golf together on Saturday? The director will be there too; we can all brainstorm the script a bit.” She invited him once again.

Anton Miller spoke bluntly, ”Not going.”

Being the always spotlighted Sean Dalton, her face couldn’t hold the expression, ”Why not?”

”No time, no interest.”

Without waiting for her to say anything more, Anton Miller had already stepped away.

No interest?

This is your interest!!

In the beautiful seaside villa, Mia Lane stood before the floor-to-ceiling window on the second floor, gazing at the scenery. In the yard, the expensive lilies were blooming more beautifully.

During this period, she had been deeply remorseful.

Justin Kingston’s accident was because of her... If only she hadn’t left, if she hadn’t crossed the street so soon... But there were no ifs.

He used to mind her meeting Anton Miller so much.

But now? She was actually living under the same roof as Anton Miller.

If Justin Kingston knew, how angry would he be?

Standing alone by the window, contemplating for a long time, she finally turned around and went downstairs, heading toward the living room.

”Miss Lane, where are you going?” Ms. Tancred called out to stop her.

”I’m going to Kingston Group to find Finn Morgan!” Mia Lane truthfully told her, ”It doesn’t matter whether you tell Anton Miller or not, I’ll be back!”

After saying this, she directly ran out of the yard.

Ms. Tancred anxiously stomped her foot, quickly stepping to the coffee table, grabbing the landline, and swiftly dialing, ”Young Master Anton, Miss Lane went out, she said she’s going to Kingston Group to find Finn Morgan, and also said it doesn’t matter whether she tells you, she’ll be back.”

”I understand,” Anton Miller’s breath was cold and heavy. He hung up the call.

Soon, the taxi stopped in front of Kingston Group, Mia Lane got out of the car and headed toward the lobby.

She hoped to get his news, yet was afraid of getting his news.

”The wife is here?”

”She hasn’t shown up in ages, why does she look so haggard?”

”Mr. Kingston has been on business overseas, just returned and she came right over? Are they falling apart?”

Mia Lane couldn’t hear any of the voices, she directly entered the elevator, heading straight to the floor of the CEO’s office.

Two months had passed, he was out of danger, but how is he now?

Has he woken up?

Has he recovered?

Mia Lane had been very worried, desperate to know even a shred of news about him.

So she couldn’t help but come.

She felt Ian Shelby couldn’t be relied upon, there would be some concealment, but Finn Morgan wouldn’t lie.

The CEO’s office was still the same as before, with a stylish and low-key luxurious style, everything orderly.

When Mia Lane walked in, Finn Morgan wasn’t there, but instead, Monica Usher had just put down some files, turning around, and the eyes of the two women met.

Mia Lane stopped her pace, unexpectedly meeting her.

The two shared a commonality—they both looked haggard, noticeably thinner.

Seeing Mia Lane, Monica Usher was furious, ”What are you doing here?!” Her eyes seemed to be on fire.

Mia Lane however, was very calm, ”I’m looking for Finn Morgan.”

”Looking for Finn Morgan or Justin Kingston?” Monica Usher crossed her arms and walked toward her, ”I beg you to disappear! Haven’t you hurt him enough?! He almost lost his life because of you! What face do you have to appear here?!”
