Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 217: Chapter 217: She Must Be Found

Dragging her exhausted body back to the hotel, Mia Lane turned on the bathroom faucet, found a bathrobe, and the misty steam quickly blurred the face in the mirror that looked unwell.

After adjusting the water temperature, she lay down in the bathtub with her hair draped.

She played a song on her phone, then glanced at today’s step count; the screen showed 20,520 steps, ranking first among her circle of friends.

She stared at this number for a long time, finding it somewhat amusing.

Like a wandering soul, she walked outside all day... with no real gains, just an increase in the melancholy in her heart.

Even if Justin Kingston is looking for her, he might not find her, right?

Because she discovered her check-in information had been deliberately erased, she couldn’t help but marvel at Kristina Kingston’s immense power and strong resolve.

A half-hour soak didn’t wash away the exhaustion in her body and mind.

She rose, donned her bathrobe, and came to the bedroom’s floor-to-ceiling window. She drank some red wine and admired the dazzling lights outside, with a lingering emptiness inside her.

Wondering about Gigi and Dolly... are they okay?

The night breeze wafted in, lightly stroking her hair; she instantly woke up, and had to admit, Justin Kingston was the first to divert her attention.

The same night.

Justin Kingston arrived in Aethelburg, and after disembarking, he directly checked into a hotel with several attendants accompanying him.

It was almost midnight, and in the luxurious presidential suite, he didn’t bother to take a shower first but directly dialed a number, instructing in a low voice, ”Even if you have to turn Aethelburg upside down, you must find Mia. I don’t care how much time it takes, just get it done. Dispatch people to scrutinize the airport surveillance, check all the surveillance in hotels, inns, and guest houses.”

He also knew the check-in records had been erased, and investigating through the police system wouldn’t work.

Since Justin Kingston came to Aethelburg, he was determined; if he couldn’t find her, he wouldn’t return!

”Mr. Kingston, leave this matter to us, please rest assured. The airport surveillance has been halfway checked; take care of yourself and rest early,” the other party reported, ”all hotel surveillance is under investigation, utilizing all forces available, there will soon be results.”

”Thank you all,” Justin sincerely thanked, then hung up.

He sat on the sofa, in the vast empty room, quiet enough to hear a pin drop.

With his injured hand, he picked up the teacup and took a sip.

The distinctly jointed fingers were no longer bandaged, which he found cumbersome, just covered with a large plaster; the bleeding had stopped, but it still hurt when he moved.

This pain constantly reminded him that he was internally angry indeed.

His phone rang, he picked it up to check the caller, and answered.

”CEO Kingston, have you arrived in Aethelburg?” Finn Morgan’s voice came through.

”Just arrived.”

”Don’t be too anxious,” Finn Morgan had analyzed for him, ”After all, young master Gigi and Miss Dolly are still with you; someday she will return.”

”Did you call just to say this?” Justin didn’t want to hear any comforting words, only wanted to find her quickly.

”Not entirely, it’s just... you should pay attention to your hand, don’t let it get infected.”

”Hmm.”

”Also... um...” He had more to say, seemingly the main point.

Justin grew impatient, ”What’s the matter? Speak.”

”You previously instructed me to arrange the century wedding, it’s almost all set. I just want to ask... should we continue? Or... pause for a while?” After all, the leading lady is no longer here.

”Why stop?” Justin couldn’t understand, ”Even if she’s dead, I’d still hold a century wedding for her!”

”...” Finn Morgan was shocked, ”Alright, I understand. Rest early.”

Justin hung up the phone, a fleeting firmness in his deep eyes, yet his heart hurt so much he couldn’t breathe.

He had forgotten his identity, with only one belief in his heart, which was to find her.

That night, Justin was sleepless again.
