Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 244: Chapter 244: Kiss Me, Be More Proactive

Until Anton Miller stood by the sofa, casting a shadow, Mia Lane realized he had arrived.

She hurriedly put away her phone, but he still saw the words in the search bar.

Anton Miller wasn’t angry. He sat down beside her and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

This action startled her, making her body stiffen, and she abruptly turned to look at him!

Their gazes met. Anton Miller crossed his legs, his face showing a touch of firmness, and his fingers tightened slightly on her shoulder, ”If you want to know about him, why not just ask me?”

Ask him?

Didn’t he say not to let even a hint of Justin Kingston’s presence be heard in this villa?

How could she ask?

Anton Miller seemed to be in a somewhat good mood today, a faint hint of a smile on his lips, ”Please me, and I’ll tell you about his situation.”

Mia Lane pulled at the corner of her mouth wordlessly, ”...”

He said, ”I won’t force you to do anything you don’t want to do, but I really want to see you taking the initiative.”

”What do you mean?” Mia Lane stared at him warily, sensing he was setting a trap.

”What I mean is, since you’ve agreed to be my woman, you can’t be so cold to me, can’t ignore me.” Anton Miller raised an eyebrow, ”I also want to take you out in public in the future, so you need to learn to adapt to this relationship.”

Mia Lane suddenly understood something, ”He escaped danger? He’s alive, isn’t he?” Was he planning to take her out to provoke Justin Kingston?

Anton Miller turned his gaze, studying and appreciating her, ”You’re too nervous.” His long fingers played with the hair by her ear, ”How are you so smart? No wonder he loves you so much, willing to risk his life for you.”

”How is he exactly?” Mia Lane asked urgently, ”Do you have news about him?”

”Kiss me.” The man let go, folded his arms across his chest, leaned back in the chair, and closed his eyes, ”Be proactive.”

Mia Lane’s heart trembled.

Looking at his reckless, victorious demeanor, her heart ached with sadness.

But to get news about Justin Kingston, she had no other choice.

So, Mia Lane swallowed all her grievances, and with a dead heart, leaned towards him, her lips woodenly kissing his face.

This moment was significant for Anton Miller, as if an electric current shot straight to his heart, making his whole body tingle.

He recorded this feeling in his memory.

So many women had kissed him first, but this was the only time he felt something.

He turned his gaze, and their eyes met once more.

”How is he?” Mia Lane asked directly, suppressing her heartache.

Anton Miller seemingly saw her heart bleeding, ”You have a real sense of transaction.” He didn’t want to torment her any longer and said, ”Justin Kingston has a great destiny. The King of the Underworld didn’t take him. After 36 hours of intensive rescue, he finally pulled through.”

The tension that had gripped her heart for half a month finally eased, and Mia Lane took a deep breath as if she finally tasted the flavor of oxygen.

She felt as if she had come back to life too.

Anton Miller continued, ”But he hasn’t woken up yet; he only got his life back. Whether he’ll become a vegetable or what condition he’ll be in if he wakes, it’s all unknown. Ian Shelby is still in Aethelburg.”

Mia Lane listened, a film of mist forming in her dark eyes.

Justin Kingston was also still in Aethelburg...

Anton Miller handed her his phone, ”You can call Ian Shelby.”

”...” Mia Lane turned her gaze.

Once again, their eyes met.

She felt he wasn’t joking, so she reached out and took the phone.

Anton Miller got up and left, closing the room door.

Mia Lane’s face was pale as she held her breath and dialed Ian Shelby’s number...
