Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 144: Chapter 41: Double Blue Talent (25/47)

At home.

Due to the disappearance of the blocker.

Under Shanren’s arrangement, Wu successfully boarded the car returning to Jinqing Port, and once he boards the ship, he can return to Unova.

The departure of his companion, as expected, made Deino nervous. Since birth, it had stayed with its group companions, never separated even when abducted.

Now suddenly finding itself alone, it’s inevitably emotional.

Unexpectedly, it didn’t cause any damage at home, but became more attached to Baimu’s embrace and hand. Whenever he was home, no matter how far away or what he was doing, it would come over to grab his hand.

Occasionally, if Baimu went out without taking it, it would obediently curl up in the corner of the living room.

This lonely sight soon softened the hearts of Aggron and Mawile.

Initially, they didn’t really have much hostility towards Deino, just discontent with the destruction caused by these little troublemakers. Like when a relative’s child dismantles your sofa, even if their parents compensate you, it’s hard to show a pleasant face.

But now the relative’s child suddenly became your child, and seeing it sitting quietly in the corner without uttering a word, it’s really hard to ignore.

Of course.

Aggron and others’ emotions are more complex, seeing a bit of their own past in Deino.

Thus, out of friendliness towards the new companion, they chose—Taunt.

Provoking someone is undoubtedly a fast way to enhance communication, provided it’s not overdone.

It’s undeniable, Aggron and others are quite proficient at it, staying well within certain limits. Although Deino often falls for Aggron’s taunts, it actually holds a sense of admiration for the Big Monster.

The weak admiring the strong is nothing problematic.

So after some playful fighting, their relationship quickly warmed up.

Baimu was pleased to see this scene, playful fights between companions are perfectly normal, which retains a certain level of competitiveness, promoting progress and development for both parties.

It wouldn’t be long before this little white dinosaur with dyed bangs completely integrates into their big family.

——

The day before the action.

Baimu welcomed a new round of simulator cooldown.

Thanks to Aggron’s tireless battle with Haxorus, and the internal brawls of Mawile and others.

This crucial simulation is believed to bring more favorable changes for the action tomorrow.

On the sofa.

Deino held his hand, placing its chin on his knee, sleeping very soundly in a daze.

Baimu quietly opened the simulator, took a deep breath, and began the first simulation.

Just as he predicted earlier, the third simulation still resulted in Ordinary Talent, with not much change in the storyline.

This time, the simulation target was someone wearing a baseball cap and red jacket, at first glance resembling the original protagonist Red from the game, but actually an angler using a Magikarp as the initial Pokémon.

Frankly speaking, the start was very difficult.

Forget about challenging the Gym, even having a normal battle with others was challenging.

So, the angler soon started capturing other Water Attribute Pokémon, such as Poliwag, Goldeen, Tentacool, Shellder, and Staryu.

Of course, he never gave up on raising Magikarp, as the Fish Leaping the Dragon Gate is something all Trainers desire to achieve.

Under his efforts, Magikarp didn’t disappoint, successfully evolving into Gyarados, making the Gym challenges much smoother.

Unfortunately, as a Trainer specializing in Water Attribute, his Pokémon raising talent was far inferior to his contemporaries, eventually falling at the top sixty-four, earning Baimu the skills [lv.50 below level up by two levels] and [Surf].

Although the result was not exceptional, Surf was indeed a delightful surprise. Baimu wanted Aggron to learn this Water Attribute Technique early on, just in case it fell into the water one day, the Big Monster could save him.

He’s just not sure if learning this technique will grant any resistance to Water Attribute attacks.

Baimu hurriedly called over Chansey and Aggron, distributing the new rewards to them, letting them experience the new power in the backyard.

Both are accustomed to similar situations; hearing this, they cheerfully went off.

”Chido?”

”Uh... not now, don’t worry, I’ll definitely share it with you.” Baimu looked at Mawile’s face as if saying ”Don’t I get anything?” and smiled helplessly.

Mawile puffed up its cheeks in anger, deciding to punch Aggron for fun, since it can take a beating.

Deino nearby tilted its head curiously and glanced over, ”Mo~nou~”

”Not your concern, just nibble on your thing.”

Baimu shoved his hand into its mouth, nervously starting the fourth simulation.

The speculation was about to be confirmed.

[Choose Your Birth Region▽]

He contemplated for a moment and chose Sinnoh.

Opened the gender option.

Decisively selected female, skipping the original rotation in the last round, intending to try being female this time.

Perhaps he could simulate Sister Zhulan?

Although it seemed a bit far-fetched, people need to have dreams.

Thus.

Baimu cautiously opened the Pokémon section——

Smeargle!?

Seeing the displayed icon, his heart skipped, only feeling doomed. Scanning through the Trainers he knew well from Sinnoh, none used Smeargle.

What’s more, what if he ended up with a bad score and got Smeargle’s Sketch skill, who would he let learn it?

Headache.

But since it has come to this, he could only hope this Trainer could succeed with Smeargle like a chef, and possess decent talent.

[Please draw your talent]

Pressed the button.

Fixed Talent:

[☆Telepathy (Profound bond with Pokémon)]

Optional Talents:

[Unyielding (Will not abandon Pokémon)]

[☆Wealthy Family (No worries in raising Pokémon)]

[Heart Like Iron Stone (Unwavering mind)]

[One-Man Army (Will capture many Pokémon)]

Two, two Blue Talents!

Baimu rubbed his eyes with his free hand, shock flooding his face as he stared at the lines of text.

Honestly, he never imagined he could draw two Blue Talents!

Does this mean the simulation is now a step closer to winning the Conference? Maybe even truly winning it?

He grew increasingly excited, pulling out his phone to look for previous competition lists of the Sinnoh Lily Conference, wanting to skip directly to the results.

However, thinking it over, he discarded the idea.

Going directly to the ending could ruin the story somewhat; usually, simulations with Blue Talents are more interesting compared to ordinary simulations.

Anyway, whatever will be, will be; no need.

Baimu selected the first two talents, believing One-Man Army, supported by Wealthy Family and Telepathy, wouldn’t be inferior, but Unyielding resonated with him more.
