Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 141: Chapter 138: No Longer Alone (24/47)

Let the Deinos into the backyard.

Baimu also wanted his own Deino to start training.

So despite the process being arduous, but with Wu’s help, five Deinos successfully stood to one side, ready to witness the battle debut of one of their siblings.

And Dragon-type Pokémon naturally have a strong desire for battle. When they noticed the Aggron across from them showing hostility, the Deino’s demeanor immediately shifted from a Husky pup to a young wolf king.

”Mohu!”

It let out a low growl.

”Gudu—!!”

Aggron responded with an even more ferocious roar, the turbulence created seemed to turn the sound waves into tangible force, shaking the air and ruffling Deino’s fur, causing it to instinctively take a step back.

This big monster is holding a grudge.

Baimu looked on disdainfully, while Aggron stood proudly, showing not a hint of embarrassment.

What, just because you’re two months old you’re a kid, and several times that age means you’re not?

’You’re tough.’

He gave Aggron a thumbs up and then turned to encourage Deino.

”Don’t panic! Calm down!”

Through his days of interacting with it, he understood this little guy still found it difficult to comprehend human language.

It pretty much only responded to very basic terms.

Like forward, backward, release a move, and so on.

Therefore, he had to find ways to simplify his sentences so that even if Deino didn’t understand the semantics, it could grasp the tone.

The words, imbued with a strong sense of encouragement, made it stabilize itself and emit a low call.

”Mohu!”

As a Dragon Pokémon that inherited its parents’ excellent battle prowess, when it views the other as an enemy, it won’t shrink back in fear due to the opponent’s powerful presence; on the contrary, it will provoke its desire to battle.

”Charge forward!”

Baimu issued the command.

Deino howled and rushed forward, following the scent of Aggron to locate its position.

But at this moment.

”Stop! Power of the Earth!”

Baimu’s second command came through, and Deino couldn’t react in time, taking a whole two seconds before halting its forward charge and raising its head to bellow towards the nearby Aggron.

”Mohu!”

A force emanated from beneath it, spreading forward, quickly forming a depression more than a meter in diameter under Aggron’s feet, with surging energy within.

But undoubtedly, the release speed was too slow.

Aggron could easily dodge, yet, to test the strength of Deino’s attack, it chose to withstand it on the spot.

Bang!

The Ground Attribute energy pounded against its body like a volcanic eruption.

Yet not only did Aggron not howl in pain, but it also excitedly roared towards the sky.

Impressive!

It dispersed the smoke, gesturing teasingly at Deino, ”Gudong!”

Bring it on again!

”Mohu...”

Although Deino couldn’t clearly see Aggron’s taunting gesture, it was quite keen in sensing the aura, getting somewhat angry, ready to rush in.

”Stop!”

Baimu shouted, ”Don’t get lured! Don’t be impulsive!”

Deino froze in motion, turning to call towards him, ”Mohu! Mohu!”

The tone carrying a hint of impatience.

Hmm? Unexpectedly cooperative?

Baimu had thought Deino was the type of Pokémon that once it got worked up, it wouldn’t care about anything, yet it seemed to have a strong obedience to commands.

Quite a surprise.

”You can’t beat it up close, use Evil Fluctuation!” he quickly said.

Deino’s teeth were itching to rush up and give Aggron a good bite, but hearing its trainer’s voice, it had to hold its temper and unleash a wave of light formed by countless connected purple-black rings towards it.

Aggron chose to withstand it once again, flicking its claws with a nonchalant expression.

”Roar~”

Bullying little kids, especially mischievous ones, was quite fun.

”Mohu! Mohu!”

Continuously provoked, Deino could no longer contain its emotions, charging towards Aggron, bumping and biting it repeatedly.

Baimu could only feel a bit helpless.

”Two fools...”

——

They switched to a different opponent for Deino.

Compared to the playful Aggron, the overly nurturing Chansey seemed much more competent, willingly accepting all the moves.

”Great job, great job.”

Baimu patted Deino’s fluffy head and complimented the diligent Chansey, ”Thank you for your hard work, Chansey, you’re way more reliable than those two over there.”

Aggron: ”?”

The Mawile who did nothing: ”?”

”Lucky~”

Chansey was all smiles, its expression showing pure affection towards Deino. It was, after all, a Pokémon skilled in taking care of others, otherwise, it wouldn’t serve as the professional nurse in Pokémon Centers in Kanto, Johto, and other regions.

As for Deino, it may be a bit mischievous, but it doesn’t keep a constant high level of alertness like Aggron and the others do.

”Mohu~”

Feeling Chansey’s kindness, Deino let out a low call, then...

Blop.

It put Chansey’s hand in its mouth.

”Lu-lucky~”

Faced with the slightly flustered pink Little Egg, Baimu chuckled and said, ”That’s its way of being friendly, but don’t endure if it hurts, it’ll leave a bad habit, after all, I get nibbled too.”

Chansey nodded, seemingly understanding and not understanding.

Outside the field.

The other five Deinos, stimulated by the previous battle, eagerly wanted to have a go.

Wu and Haxorus held onto them, like trying to hold back five almost unleashed Huskies, and had to let them run towards Chansey’s direction when they could no longer hold them back.

”Telekinesis!”

Baimu shouted.

Chansey instinctively controlled the six Deinos, placing them in the air.

”Mohu~ Mohu~”

The six Deinos hoarsely called out incessantly.

”What do you think?” Wu asked.

”Very satisfied. Though they have a rather impulsive temperament, considering their age, and their obedience to commands, they hold great potential.”

Baimu praised his own Deino.

An aggressive temperament for Pokémon isn’t entirely a flaw, as long as the issue of losing their head when angered is addressed, the rage can be a power for their offensive.

Besides, being a bit more hot-tempered as a Hydreigon is quite normal, isn’t it? It’s inherently a ferocious Evil Attribute creature.

”Seems like you’re really fond of it.”

Wu was also pleased with Baimu praising Deino.

After all, being a descendant of wandering Dragon Tamers, he didn’t grow up with Dragon-type Pokémon and might not readily accept their overly lively or overly excitable nature. If a certain mental gap arose, it would be quite detrimental to nurturing them.

Moreover, Deino is famously known for its long nurturing period.

”What are you planning to do with Aggron and the others?” Wu raised a concern.

Acceptance among teammates is very important. The lack of good feelings between Aggron, Mawile, and Deino is a matter not too big, yet not too small either.

”Of course, cold treatment—it’s not neglect,” Baimu smiled before Wu could continue, ”You don’t understand Aggron and the others, their current rejection is still because of your presence.”

Wu was puzzled, ”Our presence?”

”Yes, the existence of you and the other Deinos, Deino basically eats and lives alongside you. This led Aggron and Mawile to consider it part of your group, creating a natural conflicting stance, even knowing that Deino already belongs to me.”

Baimu continued, ”Once you all leave, and Deino is left alone, I’m sure it won’t take a day, just a couple of Deino’s whimpers, and they’ll have a Soft Heart instantly.”

”Is that so?”

”They, more than anyone, understand the taste of solitude. So they’re all the kind of good kids that make sure their companions don’t feel lonely.” He smiled, looking at Aggron and Mawile with warm eyes.
