Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 140: Chapter 137: The Pain of Aggron (23/47)

Back home.

Baimu glanced at the countdown on the simulator.

The cooldown had ended yesterday, but due to his unsettled mind, he decided to stay put for a while and use it for the next session together.

He guessed that a blue talent would only appear once every three simulations. This was the third time, and it wasn’t time for a blue talent yet.

He’s got a lot on his plate these days.

”Gotta work harder.”

Baimu looked at the illustrated guide in his hand. Mawile had just reached Level 50 this morning, completely leaving the ordinary simulator rewards behind. A normal simulation could no longer meet its leveling-up needs; it had to start from the Eight Elite.

Only starting from the Eight Elite could one get the reward of leveling up under Level 70.

Aggron was also not far from Level 50, likely within this week.

To be honest.

The speed of their progress caught Baimu a bit off guard. Despite the supplements from the simulator, a large part of their levels was still hard-earned from their diligent training.

In the animated world, Pokémon’s strength rises so quickly, no wonder Ash Ketchum switches Pokémon each season for the competitions and still manages to achieve some success.

But since Aggron and Mawile couldn’t use the normal rewards anymore, Baimu could fully support Chansey and Deino, helping them grow as quickly as possible.

Especially the latter, even though Dr. Yamanashi had told him that levels weren’t shackles for evolution, and early or late evolution was possible, the fact remained that Hydreigon was a Pokémon that matured later.

The game’s evolution level at a high 64 was out of reach for Baimu now.

In comparison, the evolution cycles of Quasi-Gods like Garchomp and Salamence were much shorter, which he envied.

”Come over here.”

Baimu waved his hand at the Deino that mingled among its companions.

These little fellows all looked pretty much the same. Without familiarity, it was really hard to tell them apart. To help with memory and distinction, he had specifically dyed a spot on his Deino’s head with a bit of white paint.

This made identification convenient.

”Mow now!”

”Mow now mow now!”

But it was obvious that more than one of them had a good vibe towards him, as nearly all of them rushed over with a frighteningly dense crowd at his call.

”Won’t you consider raising a few more? They seem to really like you,” Wu said nearby.

Baimu quickly shook his head, ”Thanks for the offer, but raising just one is enough of a headache. You know my Pokémon are already protesting wildly.”

”Uh...”

Talking about this made Wu a bit embarrassed. In just a few days, there were traces of Deino’s mischief everywhere around here.

Originally, Aggron and others only complained to Baimu, but now they came directly to him, making it hard to ignore.

But nothing could be done.

Deino’s trait already informed you about this Pokémon’s nature— ”Vitality.”

Without a bit of vital essence, how could it have this trait?

”Just joking, don’t take what Aggron and them say to heart. These guys are too sensitive. The Deino didn’t actually touch anything particularly valuable of theirs; they’re just bored, making fusses all day long.”

Baimu chuckled.

To speak of it, Aggron and them were quite wickedly fun; they had clearly gotten used to the dismantling behaviors of the Deino, yet they still had to come out and bark a couple of times to show their presence.

He said, ”Let’s take a stroll to the backyard. Being cooped up at home all the time isn’t ideal, you know.”

”Is it okay?”

”No problem, usually no one dares to come close here. I’ve also told the maids not to come around lately. There’s no one living next door, no maids on standby, so relax.”

Baimu had already scoped the area; no surveillance cameras were there, and there was hardly anyone who would come here.

The top brass are meticulous about privacy; they don’t let others approach their houses.

”Alright.”

Wu agreed, indeed needing some sunshine and fresh air.

——

Backyard.

The Deino were running wild and playful, hollering around the field.

Aggron stood protectively next to its two trees, giving Baimu a furious glance.

”Roar!”

”Don’t panic. What are you afraid of?”

The latter with a laugh took the watering can beside him and circled around the two trees spraying water, ”See, now they won’t come near again.”

”Roar?”

”Don’t you trust me?”

Baimu looked at Aggron’s puzzled face, raising an eyebrow, he picked up his own and went to the tree to slowly put it down.

”Roar——”

”Watch carefully.”

He held back Aggron’s roars.

In turn, the Big Monster watched as Deino took a sniff, suddenly sticking out its tongue before turning to run off.

”Goo?”

Aggron found it intriguing and also bent down to sniff, ”Goo——!!”

It swiftly covered its nose, unable to believe the Trainer, wearing an astonishing expression as if asking what he had sprayed there.

”Pokémon repellent scent water.”

Baimu smiled faintly, raising the watering can in his hand, ”This stuff is typically used outside on high-tension wires and railroads to prevent some Pokémon from gnawing on them. It’s a scent so there’s no harm, if you can withstand it, do as you please.

”However, you know, Deino’s eyesight is very poor, relying on tasting and sniffing to identify everything around, so you get it, it can’t stand the smell!”

Aggron’s eyes sparkled; though it couldn’t fathom the words, the Trainer seemed capable. Yet the moment it caught a whiff, its facial expression drooped.

How could it be so revolting?

”Roar~”

”Hahaha, because this thing’s main targets are you and your evolutions. Lairon and Aron love signal towers, railroads, and these things the most. They often come over to steal bites.”

Baimu couldn’t contain his laughter as a human, he didn’t find it stinky at all. On the contrary, thanks to the essence added, he thought it smelled a bit pleasant.

This thing could actually be used on Mawile’s princess bed too.

But he was certain, if he dared spray it on, Mawile would instantly transform into a Fierce Ghost.

Aggron glanced at the gloating Baimu, feeling like he hadn’t uttered anything good, and for the first time, wanted to bash him. Its hefty tail instinctively swung, conveniently tripping the turning Baimu who stumbled.

The two met eyes, one gazing upwards, one looking downwards.

”Goo~”

Aggron turned its head as if nothing happened, going off to find Wu’s Haxorus. This Pokémon, slightly shorter than it, possessed rivaling if not greater Machamp abilities.

Those sharp, iron-ax-like fangs were something it envied.

How could they not spar a bit?

”This guy...”

Baimu realized his joke might have gone overboard, rubbing his head.

Suddenly.

A chorus of cries erupted.

Lifting his head, he immediately saw the Deino rushing at him, bumping him one after another, nudging all over him.

And with the mild prickling sensation on his hand and the slightly moist sandpaper-like texture, he helplessly looked at that one Deino, ”In this world, you’re the only one who loves gnawing on people.”

”Mow now~”

Deino responded with proud enthusiasm, utterly fearless.

The surrounding Deino heard it and promptly chimed in.

”Mow now! Mow now!”
