Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 134: Chapter 131: Adorable Little Dragon

Deciding to train a Deino is one thing.

Deciding which Deino to train is another.

Six little cuties huddled together, nestled on a soft carpet sleeping, each resembling a Husky puppy, ready to devise a million-dollar renovation plan for him at any moment.

But their personalities are ultimately different, and there are differences in their constitutions as well.

Baimu couldn’t take them to the Pokémon Center for individual testing and had to decide which one to train based on his own judgment.

Luckily, just a couple of days ago, he bought a retired Illustrated Guide from the Underground City, which can be used anonymously.

The Illustrated Guide can display the moves they know, and the basic Sixth Dimension chart—which indicates the bias in their abilities like stamina and attack. It doesn’t show specific values, but it allows you to deduce the aspect Deino focuses on.

At this moment.

Baimu and Wu sat cross-legged not far away.

”They’re only about two months old on average?”

”Yes.”

Upon hearing the latter’s confirmed response, he began to check the levels, moves, etc., of these Deinos.

In terms of level, they’re actually quite similar, averaging around Level 15, with a difference of no more than two levels among them. At such a low level, one or two levels really make no difference.

What’s important is the Sixth Dimension chart and the skill pool, especially the latter.

According to Wu, they don’t come from the same parent, so they might have inherited some interesting moves.

Just as he opened the Illustrated Guide to browse, one Deino suddenly raised its head in confusion, sniffed a bit, and voluntarily ran over, naturally biting his hand with the same not-too-light-not-too-heavy force.

Like feeling its mother’s embrace, the little creature bit his hand and fell asleep in a weird position.

This little fellow was the one Baimu had comforted earlier.

”...Hey.”

He chuckled wryly, scratching Deino’s chin, ”Are you volunteering yourself?”

”Muh naw~”

Deino made a slight purring sound, slightly loosened its mouth, then quickly closed it again, using its somewhat rough tongue to lick his palm.

As if holding onto a cherished milk bottle.

”Why does it have this habit?” Baimu turned to Wu to ask.

Wu shook his head, ”This... I’m not really sure, maybe it’s just part of its personality... You find it annoying?”

”Not at all, a bit of personality is nice.”

He shook his head, using one hand to operate the Illustrated Guide and browse information on these Deinos.

One has to say, for the auction to dare set such high starting prices, there’s naturally a reason.

Almost every Deino has decent inherited moves, generally possessing around seven or eight moves each. Dragon-type Pokémon from Dragon Land are truly exceptional.

And when the Illustrated Guide pointed to the one biting his hand, Baimu’s eyes lit up.

”This kiddo is quite outstanding.”

”Can I take a look?”

Wu leaned over, glanced at the Illustrated Guide, then immediately nodded in agreement, ”In terms of skills alone, it’s definitely quite good.”

”Right.”

[Pokémon: Deino]

[Attribute: Dark + Dragon]

[Gender: Male]

[Height: 83cm/18.3kg]

[Trait: Vitality]

[Level: Level 17]

[Moves: Tackle/Dragon’s Fury/Bite/Headbutt]

[Dragon Breath/Double Strike/Evil Fluctuation/Power of the Earth]

Evil Fluctuation and Power of the Earth, two moves considered core to Hydreigon, learned at the Deino stage, knowing them saves many years of detours.

Really impressive.

”It’s fate, since you’ve chosen me, I’ll definitely choose you too.”

Baimu already had a liking for this hand-biting Deino, and now that it possesses such excellent inherited moves, he’s naturally overjoyed.

A real icing on the cake.

”Made up your mind?” Wu asked softly.

He nodded, stroking Deino’s head, ”Yeah, it’s decided on this one.”

While speaking, the originally slumbering Deino slightly lifted its head, then tilted it again, showing a very confused expression.

Even though he told it, it probably didn’t quite understand, being only two months old, but Baimu still gently stroked its body while saying:

”From today, you’re a child in our family, are you willing?”

”Muh naw?”

”I’m your Trainer, do you understand?”

”Muh naw?”

”I, Trainer; you, Deino. We two will be good partners and good friends.”

”Muh naw?”

Watching the two engaging in a comedic exchange, Wu couldn’t take it anymore, got up, and went back for a nap.

——

The news of Baimu acquiring a Deino quickly reached the ears of Aggron and other Pokémon.

All three Pokémon reacted differently, and they came to express their different opinions to Baimu.

Among them.

Aggron emphasized to Baimu that he must keep Deino under control, and definitely not let them mess with its trees and shrubs—these guys have only been here for a day and have already chewed through three chairs!

It couldn’t imagine how devastated it would be if Deino chewed through its trees.

In short, Aggron repeatedly warned Baimu, stating if Deino ever makes a move, then he won’t hold back!

When delivering the threats, Aggron was extremely domineering, almost like issuing a last ultimatum to the Trainer.

But after speaking, the steel behemoth’s body began to tremble, looking aggrieved and almost about to burst into tears, showing the stance of if Baimu pampers the 20-kilogram baby, then this 500-plus-kilogram baby will also start throwing a tantrum.

Baimu had no intention of letting Deino run wild, so he naturally agreed.

Mawile was a bit tougher, pointed at her doll, gestured at the princess bed, threw an ”you know” look, and turned away.

The meaning was simple: the princess bed is her absolute territory, not allowing Deino near.

If the doll is gone, then Deino must ”disappear” as well.

Brought by the audacity of the Fairy Attribute.

Evidently, both Aggron and Mawile are somewhat wary of Deino’s destructiveness, fearing their cherished possessions will be ruined.

Baimu fully understood their thoughts; everyone has seen firsthand what these little fellows did upon arrival.

Even Wu had gone from chanting ”I’ll pay, I’ll pay” to ignoring them, planning to settle the accounts before leaving.

And Chansey might be the only one feeling happy about a young Husky joining the home, with an energetic little dinosaur. Every time she adds food for the six Deinos, her face gleams with maternal luminosity.

Making life seem worthwhile from then on.

Upon hearing a Deino joining, she immediately thought of celebrating.

The three Pokémon have differing attitudes and opinions, making Baimu keenly aware that he can’t frequently add partners to this small group and occasionally needs to heed their opinions.

After all, they are a collective.

On the other side.

Wu started his couch potato life, worried about causing inconvenience to Baimu by going out, he didn’t even venture to the backyard, staying home all day, while Baimu took the Deinos to the underground when opening the shop.

This lifestyle is likely to continue for quite some time.

Wu felt quite helpless, never anticipating it would take up so much time.

Baimu, however, understood.

Because just as Shanren intended, Pyrite Town stepped up patrols around its neighboring wilderness, rigorously guarding outbound minerals and people, leading to the whole town being thrown into chaos.

Shanren told him by phone that even though capable individuals beyond their wave attended the auction, the town mayor’s immediate lockdown of the entire Underground City caused auction items worth ten billion to vanish without a trace.

Fortunately, some auction items were hosted sales, namely individuals leaving Pokémon or antiques with the auction house, which charged commission and fees. The Deinos were Pokémon privately poached by a certain Poaching Team.

And this Poaching Team had just been eradicated due to reaching out for antiques.

Unfortunately, due to the whole incident, the town mayor’s auction has essentially lost its credibility, the loophole-ridden security causing heavy losses and humiliation for everyone, who would come again?

In Shanren’s words, the mayor has become the laughing stock of high society in Ore.

Additionally, due to his previous detainment actions, many shady figures protested against him through their connections. Overwhelmed by intense pressure, the mayor had to chase stolen goods and simultaneously rush to Silicon City to explain the situation to his superiors.

”He’s finished.”

Shanren suddenly pronounced the ”death sentence” on the mayor.

”Eh? Why?”

Baimu was somewhat puzzled, although it seemed the mayor indeed faced constant troubles, it hadn’t reached the ”finished” level, right?
