Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 107: Chapter 104: The Road to Making Money

As if it were destined.

Mawile indeed could learn the [Passing the Baton] move, fulfilling Baimu’s vision of even distribution.

And when the new move was infused into the three Pokémon, they naturally reacted during their practice, using the move subconsciously.

”Roar—”

Aggron’s entire body was shrouded in a brown-red rising airflow, like steam released from a high temperature, advancing forward as if it were a steamroller rolling forward with a rumble.

The suffocating dust and smoke soared into the sky.

After it dispersed, a long indentation in the ground became clearly visible.

Elsewhere, Chansey raised its small hand, emitting a brilliant blue light from its eyes, as a tremendous pressure spread from around its body, casting terrifying gravity in the void.

Mawile, floating, was caught off guard and fell heavily to the ground.

Just as it was about to get up, its body was suddenly enveloped in a white halo and then transformed into white light, flying back into the Pokeball that Baimu had already raised.

”Brute Force, Gravity, and Passing the Baton, that’s about it.”

He released Mawile again, turned to the three Pokémon, and said, ”With more practice, the release speed, range, and so on will improve.”

Aggron and the others responded in low voices, indicating their understanding.

Mastering new moves is exciting for both trainers and Pokémon. Although Mawile was a bit regretful for not learning an attack-type move, it felt that it was better than nothing.

Moreover, [Passing the Baton] could even pass the [Electromagnetic Levitation] state to its teammates.

Aggron would definitely need it.

After all, the trainer had set a course for it to learn [Electromagnetic Levitation], as the large and heavy Pokémon urgently needed to compensate for its lack of mobility—perhaps requiring a large number of high-power, long-range moves to make up for it.

Compared to that, learning moves from companions is naturally much easier, and experiencing in advance through passing the baton can considerably reduce the learning time.

What surprised Baimu, however, was that during subsequent practice, Aggron learned a new move—

[Stomp].

With the ground attribute, its activation method is as straightforward as its name: lift your foot and stomp down to release it, though it is a direct stomp attack rather than using vibrations and shock waves to harm the enemy.

Its power is linked to negative emotions to a certain extent, with the base situation being that if the previous attack misses, the power of Stomp will increase significantly—using the power of regretful emotions.

”You really are a case of stored potential exploding all at once.”

Baimu patted Aggron’s big head.

In a short time after evolving, it had learned four new moves—[Sacrifice Charge], [Cannon Light Cannon], [Brute Force], and [Stomp].

Each is a move that can be effectively utilized.

One has to admit that the potential of this large fellow is indeed extraordinary.

”Roar.”

Aggron smiled broadly, feeling that its luck had indeed turned for the better since evolving.

The other two Pokémon glanced at each other, whether out of competitive spirit or not wanting to drag the team down, they started working harder on learning new moves.

——

After the battle tournament ended.

Baimu had a period of peace.

No one came to trouble him, and his superior also did not ask him to find trouble with others.

The life of the Extreme Path was much more mundane than expected.

Attending literacy classes, training Pokémon, occasionally returning to Cyan Iridium Street to visit neighbors, offering them warmth, or going to a local bar for some tea.

That’s right.

It’s indeed tea.

The bar owner is a tea lover who often spends money to buy Galar Red Tea and frequently invites Baimu to share it together—

Ever since understanding that Baimu was not like other greedy vampires, the owners at Copper Mill Shopping Street quickly eased their relationship with him.

Of course, no one dared to underestimate this seemingly gentle young man, especially since the person who once clashed with him was now mining in the Underground City.

Another reason for their improved relationship was Baimu opening a private kitchen restaurant.

Initially, he mentioned finding something to do to also increase his income.

The owners thought he intended to use the restaurant as a way to extract more bribes, so whether willing or not, they supported his establishment, preparing offerings.

Little did they know Baimu’s culinary skills were exceptional, with dishes he made personally enticing even restaurant owners from top districts to feel like they wanted to swallow their tongues.

”This reminds me of a chef from Carlos I met in my younger days, I was fortunate to taste his cooking back then. It’s memorable till today.”

”Carlos? Isn’t it a food paradise over there?”

”Yes, it would be wonderful to visit one day. I’ve heard the cuisine from Johto is also very tasty.”

The old restaurateurs spoke with longing in their voices.

But as designated fat sheep by Quicksand Team, although the bosses wouldn’t casually squeeze every bit out of them, they also wouldn’t allow them to leave Pyrite Town with huge sums of money.

Therefore, having only money is not enough.

Upon hearing their conversation, Baimu once again realized just how many people were trapped by this cage of Pyrite Town, depriving them of freedom.

”Are you also planning to go to Carlos?”

During his reverie, Otsuka quietly whispered in his ear.

”Go wash your vegetables!”

He gave the guy a kick, ”Stop babbling and do more work.”

Otsuka’s injuries had mostly healed not long ago. Hearing that the boss opened a private kitchen restaurant, he came to help around.

Naturally, Baimu did not mind having more helpers, even if the restaurant opened for only a few hours a day. It was hard for Otsuka’s sister, who was both the receptionist and helping out with Chansey, to manage everything when it got busy.

Inexperience is one of the reasons.

However, the main reason is he refused help from Cheng Hong and others.

These guys are too weak, even among regular team members they were like small fry, thus improving their strength was the top priority.

Otsuka, on the other hand, had decent strength. Although he lost to Jian before, he was not far from elite members. More importantly, giving this guy something to do could prevent him from causing trouble elsewhere.

Don’t be fooled by his meek demeanor around Baimu, he can still be quite fierce to others.

Moreover, Otsuka also attended the literacy class, but due to his age, he couldn’t establish a learning mindset from a young age, making his progress less impressive compared to Baimu, and often feeling frustrated.

”Yo! I’m here again!”

The door opened.

Flop and a few squad leaders from the same group walked in, laughing and chatting, then naturally found a seat, ”The usual, plus an extra takeaway for the boss.”

”Alright.”

Baimu nodded, ”Once I finish yours, I’m off work.”

Opening a restaurant was naturally to earn clean money in a legitimate way, though it wasn’t as fast as directly robbing, he kept his prices high. Additionally, ingredient procurement, preparations, and even the restaurant’s hygiene were handled by Otsuka’s sister.

Adding to that, he only opened for three hours a day, with two fixed days off a week, overall it wasn’t particularly taxing.

Since Squad Leader Cang Zhilang came to patronize, the customer base stabilized, making it even less laborious.

The issue of income sources was resolved.

Baimu could focus more on Pokémon development without having to count every penny daily to get by.

”You’re truly a genius, able to master lifetime-unchainable culinary skills just by learning through videos,” Flop remarked once more.

Baimu shrugged, ”Diligence makes up for lack of talent.”

He wasn’t concerned about revealing his cooking skills, as he never cooked for anyone else, nobody could know his culinary skills had skyrocketed overnight.

For those unfamiliar with transmigration or system web novels, they couldn’t even think of something like a golden finger.

Talent is simply talent.

Some individuals are born against logic.

For example, Flop, whom Baimu specifically consulted if the culinary skills learned from the internet would yield great profits, and the shop was established with Flop’s help.

Though surprised by Baimu’s rapid learning in various areas—languages, Pokémon cultivation, fighting, and culinary skills—he had seen even more astonishing characters.

Compared to them, Baimu’s talent only leaves people regretting that such a good kid wasn’t born in a regular district.
