Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 93: Chapter 90: A Major Mission

[Slacking Off].

Recovery-type move.

If this move is successfully used by Slowbro, Mawile’s efforts would not be completely in vain but at least half wasted.

However, this situation was something Baimu and Mawile had anticipated as early as yesterday.

Moreover, this last move reversal strike was by no means a desperate attack as the guests suggested. It was a carefully planned setup!

When Mawile attacked, Baimu rushed forward to an extremely close position as if he had predicted it.

As the dust settled and AI decided that Mawile had lost its ability to battle, when Slowbro was lazily standing by under Shanren’s command, he swiftly swapped out Mawile with maximum speed.

White light landed.

Lairon’s figure emerged in the muddy ground.

Shanren was momentarily stunned, looked down at the ground as if understanding something, took out a Pokeball, and shouted sternly, ”Slowbro, use Psychic Power to fly up!”

Unfortunately, it was too late.

”Quicksand Hell!”

Baimu and Lairon, striking the ground with a mighty roar, pronounced Slowbro’s death sentence.

Boom!

The ground weakened by the continuous attacks of Mawile and Slowbro disintegrated rapidly under Lairon’s stomp.

Slowbro, in a state of slacking off, trembled underfoot, losing balance and falling into it!

The violently swirling sand instantly buried it, and in its panic, it couldn’t gather its spiritual power to escape the grip of Quicksand Hell.

Lairon, however, would not miss such a golden opportunity.

”Rock Burst!”

”Grudo!”

It roared in a muffled voice, and the scattered yellow sand around it gathered into sharp rocks, bombarding the spinning Slowbro like cannonballs.

At this moment, it seemed to be possessed by a sharpshooter, each shot hitting Slowbro’s head.

Even though the latter had impressive defensive capabilities, under such a fierce attack, it couldn’t withstand any longer, its eyes rolled back, and it fainted on the spot.

Shanren’s hope of waiting for Slowbro to escape Quicksand Hell and recalling it to recuperate also ended completely in vain.

He looked at Lairon and Baimu, his expression more serious than ever.

If the early loss of Meowstic was due to his own complacency and carelessness, then Slowbro’s defeat was a question of his ability.

Even with a Pokémon far stronger than the opponent’s, he was still forced into a one-for-one situation.

Without a doubt, this was a question of his ability as a trainer.

Shanren took a deep breath and recalled Slowbro, ”You fought well, rest easy.”

With that.

Another Pokeball was already thrown out.

Bam!

The white light landed and quickly floated up.

The Pokémon he released this time had six crimson eyes, some squinting into narrow slits, some wide open like small black dots.

The whole body was pitch black like a clay doll, with a white pattern on the abdomen resembling a magnifying glass.

——Claydol, Ground and Psychic Attribute.

With the Levitate trait, it completely ignored the whirlpool sandpit created by Lairon, rendering the Quicksand Hell it was proud of useless.

The airborne rocks appeared, exploding like grenades around Claydol, causing its body to tremble slightly.

Nevertheless, Lairon had already been substituted by Baimu.

The one entering the battle was Chansey.

Looking at the hovering Claydol, the cute face showed no trace of fear, as if understanding its mission, firmly standing its ground.

”Telekinesis!”

Baimu’s voice reached its ears.

Its eyes glowed blue, but the target was not Claydol; it was itself.

It seemed as if an invisible giant hand from the air lifted it up, throwing it harshly in the direction of Claydol like a cannonball!

”Dodge!”

Shanren waved a hand unhurriedly, and Claydol, which had just recovered from the Invisible Rock, swiftly turned its body, easily dodging the attacking Chansey.

The host shouted, ”Chansey’s assault missed! What a pity! It could have turned mid-air!”

A guest chimed in, ”However, that’s very difficult.”

”Telekinesis and Electromagnetic Levitation are different; normally, it can only make a Pokémon hover without the effect of agile movement. For a Pokémon to change direction, the output of Spiritual Power must be increased.”

”But for a non-Psychic Attribute Pokémon like Chansey, who engaged in a battle of spiritual power twice with Meowstic, it’s a considerable mental burden.”

Another guest continued, ”Indeed, usually, non-Psychic Attribute Pokémon aren’t as nimble in controlling spiritual power. Casually guiding spiritual power takes time, and a careless move can lead to missed opportunities and backfire.”

During the studio discussion.

Chansey, having missed its target, fell to the ground, rolled twice, and then propelled itself back again with a push of mental power behind it.

Shanren: ”Knock Down!”

Claydol raised its teardrop-shaped arms, with a dirt yellow glow shining atop, ignoring the sand and rapidly gathering gleaming rocks from the ground to meet the incoming Chansey.

”Minimize!”

As the call sounded.

As the golden rock was about to hit Chansey, its body suddenly shrunk and then expanded, successfully dodging the rocks.

Shanren’s face showed no disappointment, ”High-speed Spin and knock it away!”

”Dulu!”

Claydol rapidly spun, the speed of its rotation causing a whooshing wind, with its side arms like two bats trying to strike Chansey away.

”Defend!”

Quicker than words could say.

A green barrier appeared in front of Chansey, and it charged into Claydol’s spinning form with the shield up.

Claydol’s spinning force vanished upon contact with the shield as though absorbed by stone, and just as the green shield shattered, Chansey managed to grab Claydol’s body.

”Sing—”

”Ram it into the ground! Sharp Stone Attack!”

Before Chansey could open its mouth to sing, Claydol suddenly plummeted downward, and a giant sharp blue rock burst out from the ground, crashing onto Chansey’s back!

Bang!

The rock shattered.

Chansey’s face showed pain, but it still wouldn’t let go of Claydol, shaking its body and grimacing in an attempt to sing.

But Shanren would not give it that chance.

”Pounce!”

Claydol gently lifted into the air, and then descended again!

Bang!

Dust and smoke rose!

For Chansey to withstand the first Sharp Stone Attack with its physical defense and level was already incredible.

The second pounce was unendurable.

Thus.

As the smoke cleared, everyone saw Chansey with swirly eyes.

”Chansey has lost the ability to battle! Now only Lairon and Claydol remain for the final showdown, but with Ground Attribute being exceptionally effective against Lairon, can Contestant Baimu still have a chance to win against such a powerful Claydol!?”

The host’s passionate voice faded.

On the field.

Shanren frowned slightly, feeling that Claydol’s condition seemed a bit off—

”Tail Whip.”

Seeing the little tail of Chansey still swaying even in faintness, he suddenly realized.

Knowing it would inevitably be defeated by Claydol, it still fought with everything to give its teammates a slim chance at victory.

”Who exactly are you, Baimu.”
