Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 56: Chapter 54: The Brute Emerges

On the screen, a pixelated JK girl and a cute Clefairy emerge from a rather luxurious house.

[At the age of ten, you made a promise with your long-time partner Clefairy to reach the top of the Pokémon Alliance together.]

The girl gets into a pitch-black car that slowly drives into a thick fog, heading in an unknown direction. As the fog clears, a magnificent school gradually appears.

[Under your parents’ pressure, you go to the Pokémon Research School for further study, which makes you feel disappointed as you looked forward to traveling.]

Pokémon Research School?

Baimu watches as the Miniskirt enters the campus, and a large number of students dressed similarly to her inexplicably run out and flood into the teaching building.

... Is this the start of a school storyline?

He inexplicably feels that this simulation is different from the previous three attempts.

Sure enough.

In a classroom, the Miniskirt sits there, and a teacher-like pixelated character opens and closes its mouth, with subtitles appearing alongside.

[You hear the teacher say: Only those who pass the elementary, intermediate, and advanced exams at the Pokémon Research School can qualify to participate in the conference.]

[You find this very dull, feeling out of place among your nervous classmates.]

Ah!

He remembers now!

It’s a place Ash Ketchum from the No-mark Era once visited, and it was one of the few episodes where he blushed at a girl!

After that, Ash always maintained his straightforward and principled image, so this episode was quite memorable for Baimu.

Of course, there’s another reason: there’s a girl named Sheng Dai, who regularly appears as a female lead in Pokémon fanfiction.

Unexpectedly, it turns out to be an academy-style storyline this time.

However.

Most students at the Pokémon Research School in the anime have a significant trait: their battles are extremely by-the-book and they value level suppression highly.

So they were taught a lesson by Ash, who excels in unconventional tactics.

It’s unclear whether Miniskirt will eventually become a theorist.

Baimu ponders as he continues to watch.

In the picture, Miniskirt’s life becomes monotonous after the school opens; every day, she attends classes, reads books, and visits the simulation battle classroom for Pokémon battles that are no different from games.

Her Clefairy, apart from following her after class and back to the dorm, stays in the Pokeball most of the time, never participating in battles, leaving her unsure how it can level up or learn more skills.

This storyline repeats many times.

Miniskirt also gradually becomes impatient, extremely restless in theory class, her pixelated body swaying from side to side.

This often causes the character on the podium to have a ”cross” symbol appearing on its forehead.

[You find school life very dull, with only theory and no actual combat, which makes the days very boring.]

The narration shows a line of text.

In the next moment.

Miniskirt suddenly stands up and runs directly out of the classroom, with exclamation marks flying off the foreheads of her classmates around her.

The character on the podium immediately starts a chase, but isn’t fast enough to catch up with Miniskirt and is soon left far behind.

[You decide to skip class and go to the practice area to find opponents.]

Are you skipping class!?

Running away right in front of the teacher—well, it is indeed skipping class.

The scene changes.

Many battlefields appear in front of her, with various Pokémon launching dazzling attacks amid the cheers of pixelated characters.

Baimu can see Miniskirt is very excited, but she is helpless when she wants to enter a match and is rejected with a simple ”I don’t know you, so no match.”

Goodness, do even battles at this school depend on whether you know each other?

Wasn’t it said that when trainers lock eyes, it’s a signal to battle?

Oh well.

The families of those who can attend this noble school must be either wealthy or privileged, not following the usual rules of trainers is quite normal.

[You can’t find a student willing to battle with you, which makes you feel unusually disappointed.]

According to the commentary, Miniskirt regretfully leaves the practice area, wandering aimlessly around the campus, with no intention of returning to class.

Baimu wonders what kind of punishment Miniskirt would receive, whether it would be a major demerit, direct expulsion, or simply nothing at all.

—This would depend on how powerful Miniskirt’s parents are.

While pondering this.

The wandering Miniskirt encounters an unexpected event.

At the far end of the screen, several other girls dressed in JK outfits surround another girl, persistently asking her about Pokémon knowledge. The latter is on a treadmill, stumbling as she runs while trying to answer.

With each wrong answer, the treadmill speeds up a bit, and the girl ultimately cannot answer calmly under the high-speed running and falls off.

In a sorry state.

The girls in charge of the questions tremble, and laughter bubbles up from their foreheads.

[You accidentally discover bullying, which touches your inherently kind nature, and you can’t just sit by, so you rush in.]

As the narration floats up, Miniskirt genuinely rushes forward at a high speed and knocks one of the girls off her feet, sending her flying.

Not only do the pixel characters in the image freeze, but even the real-world Baimu is stunned.

Hold on!

Isn’t the usual logic to stand in front of the bullied girl, shout ”What are you doing? I’ll tell the teacher,” and not just suddenly start fighting?

Combining this with her earlier behavior of running out of the classroom, Baimu realizes that although Miniskirt comes from a wealthy family.

She seems not to have learned much in terms of etiquette, or if she has, she doesn’t care about it much.

The King of Monkeys, huh?

He continues to watch, and after their daze, the girls hurriedly help the fallen one up and chatter about something.

[From their introduction, you learn that this is a special training method called ”Whip of Love.”]

[You are very angry, feeling that this is merely bullying under the guise of beautified pretense, essentially no different.]

[You accept their challenge and demand that if you win, they apologize to ***.]

Miniskirt stands in front of the girl who just fell, surrounded by the other girls. After some argumentative trembling, Miniskirt voluntarily stands on the treadmill.

And so, the second round of ”Whip of Love” begins.

Baimu initially thought the opponent would be humiliated, considering Miniskirt has only been in school for a month, but recalling her inherent talent ”Preschool Education,” he’s not so sure.

Just as he expected.

Miniskirt effortlessly answers all the so-called elementary teaching content, appearing relaxed—no wonder she’s impatient with the previous theory class.

It’s like a peak-level high school expert going through elementary school drills; as long as there aren’t some strange questions, it’s sure to be a breeze.

Unexpectedly, after the girls suffer a setback, they don’t make a hasty retreat, and neither do they apologize.

Instead, they proactively propose a Pokémon battle.

Baimu immediately sees that Miniskirt jumps with excitement.

[You accept their battle request and are somewhat impatient.]

Is it finally starting?

The first match.

He feels a bit parched, eagerly swallowing as he’s very curious about what kind of match Miniskirt will present.

”Gulp!”

The sound of Lairon resonates.

Baimu looks down and notices it somehow grabbed a can of drink from the fridge for him.

”Wow! So considerate! Thank you!”

He was quite thirsty, so he quickly opens it and drinks, then asks Chansey if it wants some.

Chansey shakes its head to refuse.

Baimu enjoys it himself while keeping his eyes on the illusory screen, watching as Miniskirt and the opposing girls engage in a Pokémon duel—

”Cough!”

He suddenly chokes, coughing while shockingly watching the screen.

Inside is a deceptively cute yet truly fearsome Fairy-type Pokémon, Clefairy, smashing a Gloom with a cauldron-sized Flame Fist, causing it to wail in pain!

After the Flame Fist with its left hand, a Frozen Fist with the right quickly follows, beating the Gloom to the point of crying for its parents, only able to desperately spray out foul gases.
