Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 73: Chapter 71: Bullying the Underachiever

In the field.

Baimu and Yoshikawa stood on either side, holding Pokeballs ready to start the battle.

The younger members shouted for encouragement, hoping to bring strength to their older brother.

In comparison to the former standing calmly in place, the latter’s expression was gloomy, resembling the bottom of a pot.

His mood at this moment was as angry as it appeared, clearly following Master Chester’s orders to reclaim the territory that was given away, who would have thought things would turn into a bet over teeth.

What use are teeth?

Even if they were smashed, Master Chester probably wouldn’t be pleased.

After all, compared to a piece of land that yields money daily, a few teeth that can be replaced with some cash are hardly worth mentioning.

Damn little ghost!

Yoshikawa now only hopes to win this battle, while Baimu cherishes his teeth particularly, or further to use words to lure the opponent.

Where does a young man get so many ghostly ideas?

He absolutely doesn’t admit that he was led by the opponent, only saying Baimu is indeed a bit clever.

Edge of the field center.

A boss holding green and red flags jitteringly became the Referee, raising the green flag.

”Everyone in position——”

”Begin!”

The green flag waved down.

Baimu and Yoshikawa released their Pokémon simultaneously.

Boom boom!

Two dazzling white lights hit the ground.

Mawile, like having a good sleep, stretched its body, looking at the Pokémon not far away, resembling a mass of stones with a snake head and thick short limbs.

”Goooo!”

The sound was dull as a ground shake.

Golem, a heavyweight Pokémon.

Baimu was truly familiar with it; Otsuka had one. However, Pokémon bred by different Trainers have subtle differences and shouldn’t be judged solely based on past experiences.

”No need to say much else, I’ll give you enough autonomy in this match, but don’t forget to listen to my voice more often.”

Baimu softly said to Mawile, positioned diagonally forward.

”Chido~”

Mawile agreed, yet internally was somewhat dissatisfied with the Trainer.

The words sounded as if it was I Do As I Please, when it was clearly understanding and very receptive to others’ opinions!

Really!

And Baimu saw Mawile puff up its cheeks, inevitably feeling a bit helpless.

They had talked about relevant content several times in the past few days, each time the latter would express it was listening, then puff its cheeks in protest. But some things can’t be felt without others saying, it’s the so-called clarity of outsiders.

Opposite side.

Yoshikawa saw Mawile hadn’t actively attacked, recalling that explosive speed in the ballroom earlier, couldn’t help but order:

”Heavy Slam!”

”Goooo!”

Golem roared deeply, leaped up suddenly, its limbs and head seamlessly merging with the torso, transforming into a massive rock ball crashing down!

Thud!

The ground cracked open, spilling numerous uneven rocks, yellow-brown ripples quickly rushed in all directions, instantly reaching Mawile.

But unfortunately, the latter had been watching Golem, not attacking was partly communicating with Baimu, and also wanting to test the opponent’s capabilities——

Simply maddening!

It clearly exhibited Electromagnetic Levitation ability, yet still used Ground Attribute moves? Who are they looking down upon!

Mawile pushed off with its right foot, easily dodging the yellow-brown Energy Shock, with electric currents flashing around, suspended mid-air under Yoshikawa’s surprised gaze.

Flying, flying?

Yoshikawa couldn’t believe his eyes, pitifully lacking in Pokémon knowledge; accustomed to a life of wine and revelry, how would he know there was such a move as Electromagnetic Levitation enabling Steel-type Pokémon to fly.

His momentary daze caused Golem to follow suit, the Trainer and Pokémon’s knowledge was ignorant, forcing the initial advantage to shift to Baimu and Mawile.

”Iron Head!”

”Chido!”

Mawile responded with ”I know,” skillfully manipulating Electromagnetic Force, summoning a rock from the ground, then kicking off mightily with its right foot, shooting towards Graveler like a sharp arrow!

”Rock Burst!”

Recovering Yoshikawa shouted loudly, Golem followed suit by extending limbs intending to summon rocks to hurl at Mawile, alas, it was one step too late.

Mawile appeared before it in a breath, twisting its body like dancing, swinging the pitch-black jaws behind its head to the front——

In a flash.

The jaws transformed into a dazzling metallic luster, seeming to be entirely plated with a silver membrane, appearing to weigh thousands of pounds, ultimately hammering towards Golem’s head like a heavy battering ram!

Thud!

A tooth-numbing muffled sound!

Amidst the fierce Attribute energy explosion, Golem’s entire skull was smashed out of shape, crashing into the ground!

Dust scattered everywhere, members of the Crystal Team stared at the unconscious Golem, momentarily speechless.

Onlookers were also stunned and couldn’t close their mouths.

”You——”

Yoshikawa’s face turned red, pointing at Baimu wanting to question how he could have such a powerful Pokémon, dealing with his Golem with one move.

Your Mawile is what Pokémon, my Golem is what Pokémon!

Why?

”Mawile!”

The Mawile that had just defeated its opponent happily flew back to Baimu’s side.

”Amazing, amazing! Look, you’ve scared them silly.” The latter did not hold back praise, and Mawile indeed deserved the commendation.

In reality, there are many factors that affect the power of moves, and a punch that blew up the Golem’s head could be called a critical hit.

Scenes like this are normal.

More than anything, Baimu cared about the opponent’s knowledge base; it was surprising that they hadn’t recognized Electromagnetic Levitation earlier, a sheer display of ignorance.

Despite having their current status because of Pokémon, have they not learned anymore?

Perhaps he’s illiterate too.

”Damn it! Letting you have one first, don’t get too cocky!”

Yoshikawa shouted angrily, gritting his teeth as he retrieved Golem, thinking that since its speed was fast, he would respond with defense!

He immediately switched to the overwhelmingly defensive Shuckle.

”Come on! Retract into Shell!”

Shuckle retracted its four tentacles and head into its hard outer shell, trying to lure Mawile to attack.

It has a move called [Power Division], which can combine its power with its opponent’s and divide it equally. This compensates for its extremely low attack while weakening the opponent’s attack.

This little trick worked wonders for Yoshikawa every time.

However, seeing this, Baimu didn’t hesitate to send Mawile off the field and switch to Chansey.

”Sing!”

What the heck!

Yoshikawa’s face froze, and he immediately attempted to recall Shuckle.

But he was a step too late; Chansey had already begun singing gentle rhymes, the pink waves and falling notes caused Shuckle to fall asleep.

”La~ La La La~”

With all limbs retracted into its shell, Shuckle had no ability to evade, like a fixed target, the singing would hit no matter how many times.

As Yoshikawa recalled Shuckle into the Pokeball, it was already asleep.

He had no choice but to send out a third Pokémon.

”Nido!”

The monster covered in spikes roared upwards, its ghostly violet carapace reflecting a metallic sheen in the sunlight.

Drill Pokémon, Nidoking!

This was Yoshikawa’s strongest reliance, his most powerful Pokémon.

Baimu scrutinized Nidoking’s height and build, quickly switching again, allowing the long-awaiting Mawile to return to the field.

”It can’t handle you, use Frozen Fist, don’t hesitate to hit it.”

”Mawile!”

Mawile responded loudly, floating toward the charging Nidoking with Electromagnetic Levitation!

”Don’t be afraid! Counter with Flame Fist!”

Yoshikawa shouted to boost Nidoking’s confidence; after all, he didn’t make the basic mistake of using Poison Attribute moves against Steel-type Pokémon and adopted the fierce and effective Flame Fist.

The blazing flames enveloped the massive fist, giving the impression it could punch through the frontal armor of a main battle tank!

On the other side.

Mawile’s response was freezing, like a comet’s arrival with Frozen Fist; just seeing it made one feel chilly, desperate for an additional layer of clothing.

The two collided with a bang!

Boom!

A great wave of white smoke billowed out!

”Don’t trade punches! It’s meaningless! Find an opportunity to hit its jaw joint!”

”Mawile!”

Within the smoke, Mawile shouted back to Baimu.

Pokémon like Nidoking almost had hardened violet keratin layers covering their entire body, and skin as hard as rock, with very few weak spots.

Baimu combined his knowledge, considering its jaw joint as a viable breakthrough point.

And Yoshikawa, hearing this, couldn’t help but shout.

”Hit it! Use Flame Fist hard! It’s okay to take a couple of punches! Counterattack!”

The cheerleading-style command made Baimu’s mouth twitch, realizing this person wasn’t as good as Jian used to be.

No wonder he had yet to be promoted to Squad Leader, while Jian was highly regarded by the Evil Dog Team, known even on the Quicksand Team’s side.

In the arena.

A sudden ”bang” exploded loudly.

The white mist burst open instantly, everyone looked expectantly inside, followed by an extraordinary scene.

Nidoking’s flaming right fist was bizarrely bitten by Mawile’s jaws, while Mawile’s right fist closely adhered to Nidoking’s cheek, encrusted with snow-white frost covering half of its face.

In no time.

Nidoking’s right fist extinguished as well, eyes turned white.

In the blink of an eye, Nidoking collapsed like a mountain crumbling!

Yoshikawa’s excited expression also froze completely, despite having a Shuckle still asleep and not fallen.

There’s no need to question who won this match now.

”You lose because you are a clueless mess, and rightfully so.”

Baimu sighed for Yoshikawa.

This guy relied on his Pokémon’s talent advantage all the way here.

But when he came up against someone more knowledgeable about various Pokémon, whose foundational stats were stronger, he was exposed completely.
