Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 933: Chapter 39: Lester’s Flame Tattoo

A Tier 3 top-level carbon-based life form is itself a moving gene repository.

Although humans are also composed of countless cells, appearing somewhat like spore organisms, there is a significant difference: humans have a brain. To study the ’origin of wisdom’ of such intelligent species, one needs only to study this organ.

Spore organisms do not have such a ’wisdom organ.’

If it can be deciphered, that would be a very powerful scientific achievement.

Not to mention, the strong vitality of spore organisms makes them very suitable for the ’Planet Tree’ to consume.

Previously, on the space station, one major reason the ’tree’ suddenly exploded was because it ’starved to death.’

Solving its ’hunger problem’ can maintain the form of an SSS+ life form and achieve initial mass production.

’If this Dr. Yuu can fully restore the ’Planet Tree’, with her technological expertise in this area, she might be able to illuminate a ’Tier 3 Research Profession’.’

Gao Gong pondered.

Not all research professions are inherited through lineage. By extending the branches of the technology tree and enlightening professional knowledge, new professional paths can also be opened.

This is the greatest uniqueness of the research profession.

’Achieving initial mass production, although unable to produce SSS-Level soldier species in batches, mass production of SSS-Level bombs is still possible.’

Recalling the scene that occurred at the space station, the ’Steel Tree’ lasted less than 30 seconds, causing unmatched damage.

This kind of damage can’t be achieved unless Gao Gong enters ’Biomechanical Fusion Mode.’

Just a few dozen of these ’tree bombs’ could basically determine the outcome of a medium-sized interstellar war.

’A planet-level laboratory needs to be built for the other party.’

At this level of experimentation, even a single failure would cause the Great Curved Saber under Gao Gong’s feet to explode.

This is the main body of Director Du.

”What are you looking at? Could it be that you’ve taken a liking to someone?”

The Little Woman looked at Gao Gong in surprise, noticing something unusual in his gaze towards Dr. Yuu.

But no, wasn’t this guy not interested in women without money or power, especially his own employees?

”Can’t I care for my subordinates?” Gao Gong rolled his eyes.

The Little Woman puffed up her chest, which looked no different, and said boldly, ”Then you should pay more attention to me. After all, I’m the highest responsible person in this biological laboratory.”

She’s right, after all, the ’Planet Tree’ is just one project of Du Gao Technology’s Biological Laboratory. There are other projects under her responsibility. No matter what, the Little Woman is currently in a high position.

”What a pity——” Gao Gong lamented and turned to leave the lab.

”What a pity?” The Little Woman, like a shadow, seemed to have recovered from the fall of Little Lady No. 2, or Brain-in-a-Vat, and was now interested in everything in the cosmos.

Gao Gong glanced at her ordinary chest and pondered, choosing a subtle way to speak.

”You know, right? More than 90% of planets are spherical.”

”That’s so, and then?”

”Most intelligent species originate from planets.”

”Uh-huh.”

”Between these species, due to their various forms, life properties, and civilization customs, a variety of xp, oh no, aesthetics arise. To unify, or to find a universally accepted aesthetic standard, is very difficult; but precisely because they originate from planets, all intelligent species in the universe, whether they are bisexual, trisexual, or even asexual robots, really like spherical organs. It is their totem! It is their faith!! It is their homeland!!!” Gao Gong said with a fervor, clenching his fist.

The Little Woman was startled by Gao Gong’s intense demeanor, yet for some reason, she suddenly felt a sense of foreboding.

Gao Gong looked into the Little Woman’s eyes, saying word for word, ”Female species without large chests have no space to survive in the universe!”

”Ahhhhhhhh, go die!!!!”

...

According to Gao Gong’s calculations, transitioning from the 3rd Stellar Vortex to the 5th Stellar Vortex in ’Superluminal Mode’ would take less than a week.

And during this week, it’s not like nothing will be done.

Compared to the ’tree bomb’ which requires at least one planet for experimentation, another set of technical assets from the Star Thief Group was easily replicable.

It was a set of equipment similar to a mechanical arm operating table, except the ’surgical arm’ was transformed into a structure resembling a spray gun. Gao Gong investigated it and easily identified its attributes.

Name: Nanotattoo Arm

Category: Mechanical Equipment

Quality: Level 3 Civilization

Weight: 1.1kg

Basic Attributes: Attack Power: 10000

Additional Attributes: A special cellular tattoo equipment, it enhances the attributes of various systems by adjusting the spacing of cells, with a high probability of boosting blood volume and a low probability of enhancing bloodline.

”The equipment from Lester’s Star Stealing Map has an issue; it can only modify red-skinned people’s bloodlines. I used nanotechnology to expand its usage to all humanoid species, and with Yuanyuan’s help, added three modes on top of the basic mode: power enhancement mode, agility enhancement mode, and full enhancement mode...”

Du Zhaodi introduced enthusiastically. For a technical woman like her, not working in the workshop for a day would make her uncomfortable. However, without the Mechanical Split Star, some high-end industrial equipment couldn’t be moved due to their huge size. Over the past six months, aside from low-level industrial manufacturing like mining, most of the time Director Du felt rather bored, with few pleasures beyond spending time with Gao Gong.

With the rare encounter of this advanced ’enhancement device’, and the Lester Star Thief Gang having spare materials for the ’tattoo device’, Director Du immediately got to work. After the battle at the space station, she went into seclusion mode and, after over ten days of no sleep, produced this set of enhancement devices.

”Tattoos, huh,” Gao Gong stroked his chin.

In his impression, the Lester Star Thief Gang consisted mainly of red-skinned humanoid species, with their leader Lester being a combat fanatic much like Vervi, ranked among the top in combat power among star thief leaders, and apparently, these red-skinned people had a sort of explosive means on the battlefield...

This is about all Gao Gong remembered, as the star thief group didn’t stand out much in their battlefield performance.

”Lester, that little guy, is quite able to fight. If not for the sneak attack, I might not have won,” the seasoned Vervi frankly admitted.

Why can’t I remember them well?

Gao Gong recalled that these red-skinned ones charged too aggressively at the start, getting struck directly by an SSS-Level tree bomb, and before they could showcase their unique ’tattoo’ technology, they were nearly wiped out.

”That explains it.”

”How exactly is this exclusive transformation technology made universal?” Vervi asked curiously again.

”That’s because, to adapt to the unique cell wall membranes of these red-skinned people, they used a unique ultramicro drill, while I replaced the drill with nanotechnology. This allows for multiple changes within the cells,” Du Zhaodi paused, glanced at Gao Gong, and said in a flat tone, ”The technology of bionic men does have its own merits.”

Gao Gong chuckled.

No matter the civilization, nanotechnology is always an advanced technology.

And the nanotechnology of a Level 2 Civilization is certainly not the complete form of nanotechnology. Higher-level civilizations also have more advanced nanotechnologies.

At least as far as Gao Gong knows, the nanotechnology of Ascension Civilization can create endless nanolife at will.

This compares to a ’Insect Tide’ of nanotechnology frenzy, the effect is terrifying.

Back then, in the Cyber Tide’s ’Bionic Revolution’ and ’Ant Society’, it was just a temporary breakthrough of nanotechnology under the catalyst of the ’Memory Mother,’ far from being complete.

”Let’s go try it out,” Du Zhaodi said.

Gao Gong obediently sat down, lying on the tattoo table which resembled an operating table, selecting the highest level full service.

Soon, nanoscale rays penetrated Gao Gong’s body through the gaps between the cells, beginning a cellular-level ’tattoo’.

A sudden shiver emerged from Gao Gong’s perception.

It was like suddenly getting ’goosebumps,’ only the effect was ten times stronger.

Gao Gong had the ’biological computer’ record this body change, copied it into a file and stored it in the biological brain machine.

A high-level organism is not only a gene repository but also a relentless evolution machine.
