Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 932: Chapter 38: Cosmic Space-Time Tunnel

On the damaged Intermediate Starship, the Green Widow wore a grim expression. Her bare, alluring upper body was covered in numerous wounds, where granulation tissue slowly grew but then sizzled and burned to ashes whenever it reached a certain point.

Seemingly, there was an invisible flame scorching the wound sites.

”Those damned chunks of iron!!”

The Spark Mechanism, an elite species of the Level 7 Civilization, was indeed very rare.

It does not belong to a complete Mechanical Life; the AI chip is not its soul, the Spark is its source of life, but conversely, once the Spark Mechanism uses the power of the Spark to confront the enemy, the resulting destruction is terrifying.

’Mechanical Spark’ can, conversely, absorb the enemy’s life.

In this regard, the Decepticons Faction and Power Faction are very skilled.

Earlier, those who besieged her—the Blood Spider and Decepticons—were top figures of these two factions.

In a desperate move to leave her behind, these two launched an all-out attack at the last moment yet ultimately lost with one false move, allowing the spaceship to enter Light-speed Mode.

But she was severely wounded.

A Holographic Projection brightened, revealing an elderly man with a resemblance to the Green Widow.

The background he was in seemed to be a volcanic site under modification, where violent flames surged over and ignited engineering machinery, causing explosions.

A Resource Planet and a habitable planet, those are two different things.

”I received your report. Vervi has betrayed your team, defecting to another faction. What’s the background of that faction?”

The old man said calmly, a strange radiance flickering in his emerald eyes; he wasn’t surprised by the betrayal among peers, rather he was interested in the sudden emergence of this ’special fleet.’

”Did you manage to capture any of their prisoners?”

Green Widow shook her head, gritting her teeth:

”Those Modified Machines are hard to capture. Before leaving, I attempted to seize one or two, but all of them self-destructed, yelling something about a ’Respawn Point.’ Perhaps it’s a new type of self-destruct chip.”

”Weapon-body modification technology, chip implantation technology—these people probably have deep backgrounds.”

Though just a few words, cunning old Walter seemed to deduce something. After pondering, he said:

”Come back for now.”

”Old man, give me a fleet, I want revenge!!” Green Widow shouted unwillingly.

”I want to bind that traitor Vervi to a hot star body and torture him for a hundred years!”

Old Walter said very calmly, ”A Star Thief capable of betraying peers is a true Star Thief. Though Vervi’s strength is weak, he’s quite adept at reading the wind; if he weren’t certain of something, he wouldn’t defect. If that monster Shrek had had this skill, he wouldn’t have been besieged to death by the Civilization Fleet!”

”Then we just let it go?!”

Green Widow was very angry, and even a bit fearful. As a member of the Walter Clan, every family member has their own direct Star Thief army, and this hunt resulted in her army suffering great losses; when she returns, her status might plummet, changing from the old man’s lover to one of his gene offspring’s mistresses, a common scenario in the family. Everyone aims to step over the family members’ bodies to rise, like the old man’s daughters; they’re very envious of her position.

”No, we won’t let it go. Those interested in the weaponization evolution route of humans are my patrons,” Walter said calmly.

Betraying peers makes a Star Thief competent; but, betraying patrons makes the Star Thief excellent.

...

After subjugating a small Star Thief gang, eliminating two medium-sized Star Thief gangs, and severely injuring a robot Star Thief gang and a branch fleet of a medium-sized Star Thief gang, Gao Gong was finally satisfied.

After staying at the Interstellar Space Station for half a month, this army swollen tenfold set off again, heading directly for the Cosmic Black Market in the Five-Ring Stellar Vortex.

In Light-speed Mode, most spaceships are safe as long as they don’t encounter unexpected events like Star Thieves, star body crises, or intermediate-level cosmic environments and above.

In Superluminal Mode, even unexpected events can be avoided up to ninety percent.

The main reason is that Superluminal Mode essentially enters the universe’s ’Space-Time Tunnel’, a natural cosmic tunnel with strong shielding properties that block all external interference and probes.

Under Ascension Civilization, there is basically no technology to destroy the ’Cosmic Space-Time Tunnel’, and if there is, just reporting to the Time Administration Bureau leads to guaranteed consequences. Any interstellar influence with a sound mind would never do such a thing.

...

While inside the ’Space-Time Tunnel,’ or rather ’Superluminal Mode,’ the perception of the outside world is unique—no longer seeing the so-called cosmic vacuum, star body light, but replaced by complete darkness. Outside the space window, it’s as if there isn’t any light at all; what’s audible are sounds like sand falling onto Iron Hide, crackling marvelously.

”What’s outside?” Little Woman held back for a while and couldn’t help but ask.

”There’s nothing; yet, from another perspective, perhaps anything’s possible.”

Little Woman gave Gao Gong a peculiar glance, and couldn’t help but say, ”Can’t you speak in a way others understand?”

Gao Gong laughed out loud, ”Routes like this involve not only space changes but also time changes, combined to yield dimensional changes, allowing observation of things from different dimensions, where anything is possible. For instance, the ’rustling’ sounds we hear might be the sound generated by higher-dimensional impacts on stars.”

”A grain of sand is a star,” Little Woman murmured, listening to the ’crackling’ rustling, ”How many stars are being hit then.”

Gao Gong stopped responding, turning around to look behind. In this plant laboratory, Dr. Yuu was dissecting on the surgical table, while Ye the Big Lolita and Cornislav assisted; Ye the Big Lolita was controlling and extracting residual Divine Wisdom from their target, while Cornislav handled the scalpel and forceps.

And their subject for dissection was the Star Thief Leader of the Co-prosperity Seekers, an 85-level plant life form, or more accurately, a spore life form.

”Interesting, interesting. These similar alien life forms, like moss and lichens, have such strong symbiotic qualities. How was their Wisdom born, by parasitizing some intelligent creatures? Or through special physiological structures?”

Dr. Yuu murmured to himself, face full of frenzy, completely disregarding the Boss beside him, and showing not a hint of guilt for having destroyed Gao Gong’s four Cybertron Starships.

The reason Gao Gong tolerated him largely was due to the experiment report in his hand.

Once fully uncovering the bodily secrets of this ’spore life form,’ there’s a 61.5% chance of initially achieving mass production of the ’Planet Tree.’

sss+ level life form mass production!
