Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 924: Chapter 30: Space Station Assault

’Beep beep—’

’You triggered the mission, ”Interstellar Space Station Encounter”’

[Mission: Interstellar Space Station Encounter]

Difficulty: Tier 3 - Difficult -

Mission Brief: A Star Thief Group Federation has targeted you, but you never worry because you have an informant inside the enemy organization and unexpected interstellar visitors outside. You have prepared thoroughly to challenge yourself.

Mission Objective: Defeat the Star Thief Group Allied Forces

Mission Rewards: Experience +30 million, three random Star Thief Group blueprints, Second Stellar Vortex prestige +5000 points.

Gao Gong looked at the scene outside, feeling a bit vexed.

He planned to lock the door and fight the dog, but was interfered with by an inexplicable Interstellar Cowboy.

In the cosmos, various academic organizations, neutral organizations, and special inheritances exist. Interstellar Cowboys belong to the latter, and every individual who becomes an Interstellar Cowboy is a self-assured, self-indulgent male species.

As soon as he let go of himself, he almost scared Gao Gong’s prey away.

If you don’t leave behind the inheritance of the ”Interstellar Cowboy,” once I deal with the Star Thieves, I’ll deal with you!

Gao Gong thought fiercely.

”Take action now, or the Star Thieves will suspect something.”

In the next moment, all the players who were on the sidelines received orders to take action. There’s no need to say more; all kinds of mechanical transformation weapons, biological plugins, hacker skills, artificial superpowers, and even special species were pulled out.

And when the players made their move, they immediately made the Star Thieves realize that this fat sheep was different!

Small-scale Star Thief influence, with subordinates made up of Tier 2 species.

Players are also Tier 2.

But not all Tier 2s are the same.

These hundred thousand plus players under Gao Gong were carefully selected from millions of players, the top elites.

You can question their personality, but not their skill level.

Moreover, players who escaped the terrifying ’Cyber Test Field,’ dealing with such small-scale attack and defense battles, are like gold elites entering a bronze league; as long as teammates don’t throw, it’s a sweep across all three lanes.

The wave of Star Thief allied forces that had just entered the Interstellar Space Station was directly pushed back out, even counter-attacked several times.

Several suspended Star Thief leaders immediately changed their expressions and simultaneously looked at Vervi.

Vervi’s expression remained unchanged, calmly saying, ”Advanced Civilization’s experimental subjects, if they’re truly weak, then what’s the hunting value?”

”According to the detector report, we’ve found a large amount of energy goods inside the interstellar space.”

The independent traitor’s robot spoke.

The expressions of the other Star Thief leaders immediately relaxed.

As long as the prey is fat enough, some sacrifices are acceptable.

Vervi also breathed a sigh of relief. After all, she was in the enemy camp; acting was quite challenging.

”The other side probably wants to rely on this interstellar relay station to hold out for reinforcements. To avoid prolonging the situation, each group should bring out their secret treasures. As long as we can break in, without their barrier, we can overwhelm them with numbers.”

Lester, the red-skinned Star Thief, immediately showed a tempted expression.

But the other three were not willing.

In every Star Thief Group, there is an elite force directly under the Star Thief Leader. This unit isn’t large, but each member is valiant and far more formidable than ordinary biological species, which can be mass-produced through genetic cultivation chambers; these are the real assets of a Star Thief Gang.

Vervi also had such assets, about a thousand members, including many old Star Thieves, who had followed her since the Shrek Star Thief Gang era.

When Gao was fishing for law enforcement, Vervi hadn’t even had the chance to deploy this force because the power disparity was too great, directly surrendering.

This counted as a blessing in disguise.

However, Vervi was certain these peers would eventually deploy this trump card. The reason is simple: the peculiar underlings of General were simply too strong!

...

The Red Water Beast is a proper Mechanical Stream player.

The so-called proper Mechanical Stream means not randomly modifying. The player’s ’random modifications’ are quite literal.

Rumor has it that a top player even mastered the ’Sunflower Manual,’ cultivating their own D into an A-level Radiation Beast.

The Red Water Beast admired this but would never do it himself.

However, even normal mechanical transformations increased his height to 3 meters, with two arms, and two legs entirely mechanized into weapons. In addition, a thick steel spine, as thick as a regular person’s calf, was embedded into his back, making him look particularly fierce.

Among the frontline players, his prowess wasn’t considered outstanding, but he progressed steadily, at least maintaining mechanical rejection at a relatively low level, preventing him from spontaneously developing cyber psychosis.

Moreover, he had already planned his future upgrade path.

Once his level is higher, over level 45, he can modify and implant military equipment. Over level 50, he can consider following the logistics and support route, purchasing an armed mechanical platform, binding AI, deploying various mechanical plugins and ammunition to compensate for the mechanical stream player’s lack of endurance.

He had seen his alliance’s satellite-level armed space station, said to be able to drop through the atmosphere, and the target of the drop being large mechas.

But unlike others, he doesn’t enjoy operating mechas; he still prefers the thrill of hitting with mechanical fists.

His highest pursuit is the transformation into the Emperor’s Imperial Guard!

It’s said that each of the Emperor’s Imperial Guards possesses combat power comparable to a large Mecha!

The Red Water Beast is fighting a battle while still being able to slack off, which shows that the intensity of this Star Thief siege is not high.

It’s not about fearing the ignorant, but fearing comparisons.

The Red Water Beast even feels that these Star Thieves are not as good as ordinary corporate security.

At least those corporate security machines each have an auxiliary AI chip, whereas these Star Thieves’ energy weapons actually rely on eye aiming.

Isn’t that absurd?

He feels like his ’electromagnetic machine gun’ is more accurate than their energy rifles.

This isn’t an illusion; according to the chip’s planned sweeping route, after a burst of fire, soon, more than a dozen Star Thieves were shot upside down, their blood volume dropping rapidly.

With a shake of the shoulder, the shoulder-mounted electromagnetic cannon enters charging state, and ten seconds later, a beam as thick as a fist flashes by; the nearest star shuttle explodes directly.

”Those with less than forty percent ammunition return to resupply.”

The player commander in his area called out.

The Red Water Beast thought for a moment, and a string of data automatically appeared on his electronic eye, such as ammunition usage, output efficiency, plugin wear, etc. After some contemplation, he conservatively decided to return to the rear to resupply ammunition and perform temporary maintenance on his prosthetic body.

These operations are all handled by newly produced ’auxiliary robots’.

In the past six months in the Asteroid Belt, Du Gao Technology’s technical level, whether mechanical or biological, has stagnated.

But from another perspective, no progress also means no regression.

Director Du is a workaholic powerhouse who feels uncomfortable if not working.

During these six months, she not only restored the production of various ammunition and Mecha parts but also managed to create a small auxiliary robot production line.

The skill level of these auxiliary robots is roughly equivalent to a level 15 Prosthetic Doctor + a level 15 Mechanical Maintenance Master. Although they can’t replace large parts, temporary battlefield maintenance and ammunition replacement are completely not a problem.

For this, Du Gao Technology’s alliance points increased by 5000.

Let’s just say, with a capable wife at home, the soft rice man effortlessly wins.

I don’t know which ’military contractor’s technology this is.

After all, Director Du has packaged the mechanical blueprints of the entire Mechanical Split Star.

The wartime maintenance was quick; after just an hour, the Red Water Beast’s ammunition was resupplied, the durability of the prosthetic body restored to eighty percent, and he even received a complimentary battlefield stimulant.

A burst of howling came from the front line; needless to say, another line must have made a breakthrough.

After glancing at the internal chat group, the Red Water Beast quickly learned that a force of over ten thousand Star Thieves circling behind had been ambushed and annihilated by players.

They say a mighty general emerges from the ranks; after a lot of fighting, even fools know how to fight.

After all, fools won’t die.

Although the plan to ’trap and kill the dogs’ failed, those ’keyboard strategists’ among the high-end players quickly set up thirteen lines of defense with the Interstellar Space Station as the core.

So far, except for the three lines of defense farthest away being broken, the remaining ten lines still securely guard all directions around the Interstellar Space Station.

The Red Water Beast arrived at the ’front line’, confronted with a scene full of thick blood and severed limbs.

Is this interstellar war?

He’s a bit uncomfortable.

The corporate war he participated in was closer to technological warfare; he hadn’t seen the mode of purely using humans to fill the lines.

The eighth line of defense where he is still as steady as an old dog.

After all, Star Thieves are used to bullying the weak; who can withstand such fortress-breaking situations?

’Isn’t the cosmos’ forces being cut down a bit too much? They’re all cannon fodder filling the lines; why not install some life-threatening personalities or self-destruct chips on them.’ The Red Water Beast couldn’t help but mock in his heart.

But what he didn’t know was that even within the Star Thief Group, brainwashing technology and chip implantation technology still count as high-end stuff, and most small Star Thief gangs don’t even have them.

The Red Water Beast came to his trench and found a player beside him looking up at the sky.

”What are you looking at?”

”Watching the cosmic vault, seeing the galaxy flow.”

The Red Water Beast thought for a moment, threw the free battlefield stimulant over, and said with irritation, ”Speak human.”

”A group of player bosses is lurking behind enemy lines, planning something big. Looking at the time, it’s about that moment.”

The Red Water Beast responded with an ’oh’ and also stretched his neck to look up.

Soon, he saw it.

Above the Interstellar Space Station, in the direction near the Asteroid Belt, twenty-some ’little stars’ suddenly flashed by.

Each little star represented a Star Thief spaceship.

”Damn, those bosses really pulled it off!” the player exclaimed.
