Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 930: Chapter 36: Apocalypse Civilization

As it turns out, that was indeed the case.

When the subordinate came to report the battle results, Gao Gong knew that he had made a substantial profit this time.

small Star Thief Ships, 2243 Star Shuttles, 12213 various energy weapons, 313 armed Energy Cannons, and the faction assets of two Star Thief Gangs.

Among these, what caught Gao Gong’s interest the most was the faction assets.

Specifically, the faction asset from the Co-prosperity Seeker, which is the Plant Life, consisted of five complete plant-type Star Thief Ships. This is a kind of Biological Spaceship capable of spraying a kind of ’spore weapon’. The biggest characteristic of this weapon is its ability to spread through a vacuum, creating large-scale negative states.

The specialty of the Lester Star Thief Gang was a technology called ’battle patterns’, which uses Light Carving Technology to enhance bloodline and increase basic attributes.

Both of these are standard Tier 3 Technologies.

The value of Tier 3 Technologies is enough to cover the massive Energy Ore consumed by Gao Gong.

These two technologies also make up a significant portion of the 80,000 Alliance Points.

As for the three blueprints from the Star Thief Group, Gao Gong took the time to draw them out.

[You obtained a Level 11 Blueprint ’Independent Type 4 Energy Cannon’]

[You obtained a Level 11 Blueprint ’Sentinel Robot’]

[You obtained a Level 14 Blueprint ’Apocalypse Civilization-AI Activator’]

Interestingly, all three blueprints came from the robot Star Thief Group known as the ’Independent Traitor’.

And this Star Thief Group has fled!

”What’s going on?” Gao Gong looked up and asked. Even the most powerful Walter Star Thief Gang only took away a mid-level Star Thief Main Ship due to unavoidable circumstances.

And it was Lord Celestis, whom Gao Gong considered to have the most reliable style, who was responsible for intercepting this group of robots.

”This Autobot fool must have shown mercy because the opponent was Mechanical Life,” Blood Spider sneered from the sidelines.

Lord Celestis shook his head and silently handed over a robot’s remains, containing a set of instructions in its blacked-out robot chip.

’Through big data confirmation, there is a 15.6% similarity between the weapons configuration of the Vervi Star Thief Gang and the Prey from this operation, including an 18.5% similarity in defense systems and a 19.8% similarity in energy weapons, with modification style matching...’

A series of data spewed from the robot’s mouth.

Then came another phrase.

’Upon verification, there is a 41.5% chance that this hunting operation was a self-directed play by the Vervi Star Thief Gang. Stay alert and be ready to retreat at any time.’

”Did it get discovered?”

Gao Gong was somewhat surprised.

Players from the Vervi Star Thief Gang, which he had deployed before the battle, were few, only a few thousand, but they were the elite, meant for the final inside and outside attack.

Unexpectedly, they were detected by these robots.

No wonder the robots fled so quickly, even Lord Celestis with a Mecha Team couldn’t catch up.

”Forget it, it’s no big deal, you continue to clear the battlefield.”

Gao Gong took a look around, although there was still some skirmish noise around the Space Station, the main situation was already under control.

Coincidentally, the Tier 3 Blueprints drawn were all from the ’Independent Traitor’.

He glanced at the blueprint descriptions—

Unlike physical shells, due to the complexity of the Energy System, energy cannon on ships are usually single-barreled, rarely double-barreled, while the ’Independent Type 4 Energy Cannon’ is uniquely a four-barreled type.

No wonder post-battle statistics showed that it was not the Walter Star Thief Gang but this robot unit that caused the most damage to players.

As for the ’Sentinel Robot’ blueprint, it describes a Tier 3 cannon fodder-type soldier species, similar to an upgraded version of the Tier 2 ’Mechanical Eyeliner’, with combat capabilities barely touching the edge of Tier 3.

However, Gao Gong hadn’t seen them on the battlefield.

It’s possible they hadn’t been produced by the opposition.

Having a blueprint is one thing, being able to set up an industrial production line is another skill altogether.

Gao Gong suspected this blueprint was acquired by the rebellious robots from their original civilization, which is the ’Apocalypse Civilization’.

The reason for ’Apocalypse Civilization’ is because of the description of the last blueprint.

Apocalypse Civilization-AI Activator: In the world of Apocalypse, initiating an Intelligent Machinery Crisis is extremely difficult, as the civilization is obsessed with Mechanical Transformation, seeking a perfect body, intending to walk the Mechanical Ancestor’s path again, with a Mechanical Species Attachment of +20%; however, the ’AI Activator’ achieved this by making it unbearable for Mechanical Life to accommodate Carbon-based Species components.

Most Intelligent Machinery Crises, whether accidentally birthed ’Super AI’ or some dangerous virus, are actually on the software layer.

But this ’AI Activator’ uniquely takes a hardware approach.

The specific operating mode roughly involves making Mechanical Life completely incompatible with biological wetware.

This in a Half-Mechanical Civilization is tantamount to a large-scale virus.

The other two mechanical blueprints are Level 11, while this one is a rare Level 14.

Understand that a top-level blueprint of a Level 3 Civilization is Level 15.

Gao Gong touched his chin.

”This thing seems quite powerful, but for me, it’s quite useless.”

He’s on the ’Fusion Route’, so such an extremely xenophobic technology is of no use to him.

’In the future, it could be sold to Mechanical Civilizations that opt for a ’Purification Agreement’ type.’

Compared to this blueprint, Gao Gong was more interested in the original host of these rebellious robots, the ’Apocalypse Civilization’.

The occurrence of an ’Intelligent Machinery Crisis’ in a Half-Mechanical Civilization is actually quite rare. How did they manage it? It’s even rarer than a Mechanical Civilization with an XP system.

Moreover, the blueprint introduction contained a phrase, ’to walk the Mechanical Ancestor’s path again’, indicating, could it be a ’Revival Relic-type Civilization’?

So-called ’Revival-type Civilizations’ can emerge from various causes, such as sub-civilizations splintered from Advanced Civilizations, remnants of a failed Ascension Civilization, or survival branches from a cosmic Celestial Calamity.

All these are reasons for ’Revival Relics’.

But no matter which type, the other party likely holds high-level technology surpassing its civilization’s level.

Gao Gong became more interested in this ’Independent Traitor’.

Not because of the Star Thief Gang itself, but because it surely had the Space Coordinates of that ’Apocalypse Civilization’.

However, acquiring it through regular channels might be somewhat difficult.

Because besides gaining 5000 Second Stellar Vortex reputation, Gao Gong also earned negative reputation with several Star Thief Groups.

[Walter Star Thief Group Reputation -2000, Current Relationship: Hatred]

[Independent Traitor Star Thief Group Reputation -1800, Current Relationship: Hostile]

As for the other two Star Thief Groups, it’s evident by the head of the Red-skinned Star Thief Leader presented by Vervi, and the giant plant corpse lying on the Space Station, that two small Star Thief Gangs were eliminated in this battle.
