Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 922: Chapter 28: Unexpected Visitor

In the dark cosmic space, a massive mechanical creation spans the void.

Generally speaking, a large starship has a diameter of around ten kilometers, and this type of interstellar space station can accommodate 100 large starships simultaneously.

As the port doors slowly open, it seems like a giant abyssal beast devouring everything.

Gao Gong’s fleet slowly sailed into it.

If there exists a governing Level 3 Civilization within this star system, then this interstellar space station will likely become a toll station for the Level 3 Civilization. Rumors suggest that the income from an interstellar space station within a prosperous star system of a civilization over a thousand years is enough to construct a Civilization Monument.

However, if no governing civilization appears in this star system, then this kind of ’interstellar space station’ probably has two possibilities.

One is ’civilization infrastructure’ created by the Civilization Council.

In terms of ’cosmic infrastructure’, low-level civilizations can apply for spots from the council, provided they join the Civilization Council.

The other is an advanced civilization creating Tier 4 Civilization Architecture for convenient travel.

Gao Gong suspects that this ’interstellar space station’ is of the second kind.

This ’interstellar space station’ is even larger than typical interstellar space stations, giving the impression of a hollowed-out satellite. This ’clumsy and oversized’ style immediately suggests it’s the creation of a Level 7 Civilization; after all, might produces miracles.

When Lord Celestis flew out from the spaceship and landed on the space station’s control platform, an electronic glow scanned the Spark, and instantly, Gao Gong obtained Level 3 permissions for this space station.

Confirmed—it’s indeed the one.

Although this space station doesn’t have weapon systems installed, its vast internal space is enough to host a small-scale war once the doors shut.

Moreover, a key advantage is that after gaining control, at least ’charging’ becomes free.

As one mechanical repair platform after another flew to the spaceship’s area, blue electric arcs as thick as arms continuously struck the spaceship’s area, and the ship’s energy storage quickly surged, reaching 100% at an astonishing speed.

”An ’interstellar space station’ must achieve at least two things: automatic charging and cross-space teleportation.”

No one is more interested in such large and coarse objects than Director Du.

Gao Gong felt as if the other person’s eyes were about to light up.

”Once we have our own planet, we must build an ’interstellar space station,’” Du Zhaodi said seriously.

This belongs to Tier 4 Civilization Architecture; it’s incredibly expensive!

But since the Rich Lady has spoken, what else could he say?

After all, it’s not his money being spent.

With the multitude of advanced blueprints Du has access to, as long as there is a production base, it will constantly convert into a massive amount of money anytime, anywhere.

As for the blueprint for this Tier 4 Civilization Architecture, Gao Gong remembers that the Mechanician Civilization can construct it; ’Starship Engineering’ is one of the strands in the Professional Knowledge Chain.

And another essential strand in the Professional Knowledge Chain is called ’Star System-level Energy Utilization.’

Thinking of this, Gao Gong glanced at the panel.

The final two pieces of Professional Knowledge in ’Starship Engineering’ are about to evolve.

Once they successfully evolve, the Professional Knowledge Chain will be considered successfully illuminated.

Once another Professional Knowledge Chain is illuminated, a new Level 3 Civilization Panel will emerge.

Gao Gong took the Rich Lady on a rough tour, finally arriving at the outside of the interstellar space station.

Actually, compared to the interior space, the outside of the space station is its essence. In the up, down, left, and right directions, there is a 500km-long space acceleration channel. Throughout the channel, there are a hundred thousand space matrices and energy matrices, paired with the enormous energy stored in the space station, to conduct space coordinate positioning and space piercing, capable of elevating light-speed to superluminal in three seconds.

One could say, this object is the Divine Artifact of low-level civilizations. Without it, low-level civilizations might need to spend thousands of years wandering from one stellar system (similar to the solar system) to another stellar system, even if the plan goes smoothly without any issues.

Of course, such a transportation hub is also an essential place for plundering wealth and robbing lives.

”General, the message has been sent out, those four Star Thief Groups will be here soon,” Vervi flew over with respect and said.

”Alright, proceed according to plan.”

Soon, fully charged Star Thief ships flew out.

And many Star Thief ships had more players aboard.

”Boss, what are we going to do?” A player who just logged on realized they were separated from the main group and quickly came to ask.

”What else, of course we’re going to rob,” another player said impatiently.

”Rob, rob who?”

”Rob the Star Thieves, of course.”

”Bah, it’s not robbing, it’s obviously to eliminate evil and promote good, maintain justice.”

”Ambitious, after the mission is completed, let’s see if you have the courage not to take the reward.”

”Bah, why wouldn’t I take it? A gentleman loves wealth, but acquires it through proper means.”

...

Seeing the players leave, Gao Gong once again beckoned, and from five Cybertron Starships, five powerful auras burst forth.

Five top-level Cybertron Robots, in addition to the initially revived Lord Celestis, Venus, and Blood Spider, two more top-level Spark Lives emerged, namely the Autobots Faction’s Bumblebee and the Decepticons Faction’s Megatron.

The aura of the Decepticons is on par with Lord Celestis.

Actually, the Energy Ore excavated from the Asteroid Belt can revive more top-level Spark Life, yet unfortunately, the mechanical bodies of a sufficient level (Gao Gong’s mechanical spare bodies) are down to the last two, so only two of the most capable out of the remaining 11 Spark Mechanisms were chosen.

These two, Bumblebee, is a disciple of Lord Celestis. His combat techniques were taught by Lord Celestis hand by hand. In terms of mechanical combat transformation, it can be said that the pupil has surpassed the master.

As for the Decepticons, they are the mechanical leaders of the Power Faction, which belongs to the radical faction within the Spark Mechanisms that believes mechanical life is invincible and ought to reign over everything.

”General, we should take this opportunity to kill all non-mechanical entities on the ship. The general’s subordinates should not be filled with these scoundrels.”

Just given birth, the first words of the Decepticons left Gao Gong utterly stupefied and aghast.

”Decepticons, don’t promote your narrow-minded thoughts,” Lord Celestis rebuked.

”What narrow-mindedness! Only pure mechanics can allow the general to advance further. Only mediocre rulers would tolerate energy cockroaches and carbon-based beasts.”

”Enough,” Gao Gong interrupted their ’friendly exchange,’ and directly issued the order:

”There are still 500 units of Biomechanical Armor on the ship. You two will each lead a mech squad, and now stay concealed at the periphery. When the Star Thief Group moves in, then encircle them.”

”My lord, I think it would be better to use our people,” the Decepticons protested.

”There’s not enough battle mechanical bodies to sustain the Sparks. Follow the orders,” Gao Gong said expressionlessly.

The Decepticons had to obey, although even Gao Gong’s spare mechanical bodies could only utilize 50-60% of these people’s strengths.

Spark Life must have dedicated Cybertron combat mechanics to be fully effective.

”Have the logistics staff been evacuated?” Gao Gong asked Du Zhaodi again.

”They’ve all been evacuated, but Dr. Yuu insists on staying and testing her new project on the battlefield.”

”This woman,” Gao Gong was somewhat troubled. The temporary shortage of biological resources doesn’t seem to hinder her research enthusiasm. Dr. Yuu has been progressing from Luca Energy to the Planet Tree, and now seems to have made some headway in using energy to stimulate superbiological cells.

Gao Gong has looked at her project report. This experiment requires a large amount of ’Isotopic Polymer,’ which are top-level energy ores excavated from the Asteroid Belt, and is extremely risky. If it goes wrong, even a starship could explode.

Gao Gong was about to reject, then hesitated because Dr. Yuu painted a big picture for him. According to her, as long as the critical data is obtained, the Biomechanical Armor can be further developed to complete the next fusion experiment.

Anyway, they are soon going to the black market for a Star Destroyer, so waste is just waste.

”Let her try!”

Gao Gong made the decision.

”Brother, we can help too.”

As soon as Gao Gong finished speaking, two data phantoms appeared. Gao Yuanyuan’s figure is no longer made of data and codes, but vivid and lifelike, indistinguishable from a real person, with black straight hair flipping down like duck feathers.

And behind her is the also slumbering Super Hacker, Paradise Bird.

Both of their bodies are on the Great Curved Saber, this is the consciousness download completed, appearing in reality as a data avatar.

”How are you able to come out?” Du Zhaodi asked curiously.

Gao Yuanyuan extended her palm, looking at the lines in her palm, somewhat happily said: ”The signal here is excellent.”

Generally, such an interstellar space station is equivalent to a large signal base station, so it is not surprising for Gao Yuanyuan to download data life.

After all, some interstellar space stations are responsible not only for speeding up spaceships but also for teleporting virtual life.

”Okay, you are in charge of disrupting those Star Thieves’ perception.”

Gao Gong had no objection to this, as the two women’s bodies were on the Great Curved Saber, which will leave this space station before the battle starts.

”As for bait, these players should be enough.”

Gao Gong looked below, at least half of the players remained in the dock. The role of these players is cannon fodder + bait.

Hope you all act well, because the task rewards from me are quite sufficient.

...

Outside the interstellar space station, Vervi stood on the deck with a serious expression as one Star Thief Ship after another began to emerge from the darkness.

Walter Star Thief Group

Lester Star Thief Group

Independent Traitor

Co-prosperity Seeker

This time, the joint hunting operation by the Star Thief Group composed of four Star Thief groups has amassed an elite number of up to 1 million people.

Such a level of war, on a general planet, can be considered a world-shaking battle.

But in interstellar terms, this is merely a small military activity.

The lowest-level planet-landing warfare has a number of participants far exceeding the number of these Star Thieves.

And just when the powers of all sides were making their debut, something unexpected happened.

The acceleration channel of the interstellar space station suddenly lit up, and a broken-down spaceship slowly descended from Superluminal Mode.

At this time, a stranger actually entered this channel.
