Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Li Cunyi looked at Li Yu and his group. Although their faces were obscured by helmets, he could still sense their uniqueness.

After hesitating for a few seconds, he thought it wouldn’t hurt to speak truthfully.

So he said, ”A while back, a group of people from Southeast Asia, presumably from the Lao Country, came to our Sanshan Village. They burned, killed, and plundered there, and we barely escaped with our lives.”

”These days, we’re afraid to travel on the roads, fearing we’ll encounter them, so we’ve been taking the mountain forest trails, narrowly avoiding disaster.”

Li Yu heard this, frowned, and asked, ”How many of them are there? How strong are they?”

Li Cunyi’s expression was sorrowful as he began to speak:

”Maybe over a hundred people, but they all have guns. We have a few guns too, but we’re almost out of bullets. So, so... sigh, those damned fraudsters!”

”How do you know where they’re from?” Li Yu asked with some confusion.

”Of course, they said it themselves. They claimed to be from the Jinmu Group, which I know is a notorious fraud group from Southeast Asia.

Those people are very arrogant, and some of them probably sneaked over before the Doomsday.”

While speaking, Li Yu was also watching the expressions of the others around him.

The people standing next to Li Cunyi showed angry expressions when he mentioned the fraudsters, appearing genuine.

Li Yu then asked, ”Why are you heading east instead of north?”

Li Cunyi heard this and glanced at Zhang Rufen, realizing this question should be directed at him, although he knew the reason, it seemed better for Zhang Rufen to explain.

Zhang Rufen understood the look in Li Cunyi’s eyes after seeing his expression.

He then began to speak: ”Heading east was my suggestion. We were once in Cheng city, where there was a Western Alliance after the Doomsday. Old Liu and I left from there before going to Sanshan Village.”

Upon hearing this, Li Yu’s expression changed instantly.

He thought: Could these people be survivors of the Western Alliance?

The gun handle he had been holding tightened slowly.

However, the young man on the opposite side continued:

”The Gan Family of the Western Alliance massacred my entire household. After I fled, the people from the Liu Family and Zhou Family also left and came to Sanshan Village.

Later, when I was preparing to return to the Western Alliance to seek revenge on the Gan Family, I discovered the Western Alliance was already in ruins. We also found a powerful team, and the direction they were heading was east.

I guess that team destroyed the Western Alliance, good riddance!

Now the Lao people have crossed the border and are wreaking havoc in the Southwest. We decided to seek refuge with a powerful faction to avoid being bullied or killed by the Lao people.”

”I don’t know exactly where that faction is in the east, but heading east can’t be wrong. Although we haven’t been to the East and don’t know its situation, it’s better than staying in Yun Province.”

”No matter what, that team from the Western Alliance avenged me, and if I meet them, I will thank them for avenging my family!”

Li Yu felt a sense of absurdity after hearing this.

The unexpected praise left him feeling strangely pleased.

At the time, he felt guilty for those he slaughtered in the Western Alliance, but here was someone telling him it was good and expressing thanks, making him feel a bit proud.

Li Yu coughed twice, then continued to inquire, ”Jinmu Group? Do you know where they are?”

Ghost Head suddenly spoke up: ”I know. Those people are not far from Red River, just a few dozen kilometers from the border.

Before the Doomsday, people were often tricked into going there and then used for telecom fraud. If they didn’t meet quotas, their organs were sold.

Our village had people who were deceived that way, so no one has a good impression of that place.”

Li Yu felt inexplicably angry after hearing this.

In his previous life, he struggled at the bottom and had limited information, never having heard of outsiders coming to take over.

As Li Yu was pondering, Li Cunyi seemed to sense that these people in front of them weren’t vicious.

So he began to speak:

”Um, brothers, we didn’t know anyone was here, please forgive us for our rashness. We are all pitiable people, please spare us. You can take everything in our bag, just show mercy and let us live.”

Zhang Rufen also spoke: ”Yes, on the way, we saw that more and more people are coming from the Lao side. It seems they’ll soon spread here, and we need to flee quickly, or being captured by them will be the end of us.

Besides, I suggest you also leave here. Those people are strong and numerous...”

After hearing the words of these two men, Li Yu remained noncommittal.

He recalled capturing Gao Ru and Hai Chao from the Western Alliance, learning about the situation there from them.
