Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Third Uncle saw this scene and sighed:

”It’s normal, after all, when Doomsday just broke out, the Government would definitely dispatch personnel for rescue immediately. Helicopters are highly mobile, so they would certainly be sent out first. But we might as well go down and take a look; it’s not easy to come here.”

Li Yu nodded and said, ”Hmm, let’s go down and take a look. If it doesn’t work out, we’ll refuel and then head to the secret underground military base in Kun City; perhaps we can gain something there.”

Upon hearing this, the Jackals promptly maneuvered the helicopter to hover above.

He didn’t descend immediately. Encountering so many survivor teams just now made him uneasy; what if there’s someone below?

After hovering for a few minutes in the air, the Jackals finally landed the helicopter.

They had to land; the helicopter’s range was only over nine hundred kilometers. Without refueling, they wouldn’t be able to fly far.

They chose to land in the center of the rescue base.

This area was originally a helicopter parking spot, so it’s very suitable for parking helicopters.

The helicopter landed safely without incident.

As soon as the cabin door opened, Third Uncle and Li Yu immediately jumped out of the helicopter.

Following them were Old Qin, Luo, and the others.

After shutting down the helicopter, the Jackals unbuckled the safety belt, walked to the back of the cabin, and rolled out the oil barrel on a trolley, preparing to refuel the helicopter.

The Ant was beside him, helping refuel the helicopter.

The rescue base covers a significant area, surrounded by walls, and there are barriers outside to prevent anyone good at sneaking in.

Li Yu said to Third Uncle, ”Looks like at least a dozen helicopters were parked in this rescue base before.”

Third Uncle nodded and said, ”Hmm, let’s go and take a look inside.”

After speaking, he shouted to Luo, ”Luo, leave two people to guard the helicopter; the rest follow me.”

Luo nodded and then left Xiao Ding and Xiao Liu to stay outside and guard the helicopter.

The Jackals and the Ant had to refuel the helicopter, so they didn’t join in the search.

The other six headed towards the flat building not far away.

This building is only two stories, but the first floor is as high as ten meters and is quite long; the outer layer is glass-structured.

But now looking over, all the glass is shattered, turning it into a drafty house.

Third Uncle and the others approached.

Upon entering the main entrance, there were shards of glass all over the ground.

The interior is empty, with a height of ten meters, looking quite grand.

”Hmm? Third Uncle, look, there are two helicopters over there!” Li Yu saw two helicopters standing on the central platform; one was standing upright while the other was awkwardly hanging between the platform and the ground.

As soon as he said this, everyone excitedly looked over.

The exteriors of the two helicopters looked rather pitiful, with the doors dismantled, and over a dozen bullet holes scattered across the body.

”It should be for display. Zhi-8 rescue helicopter, a large helicopter, with a maximum takeoff weight of 13 tons, can carry 27 to 39 passengers,” Luo said knowledgeably.

After speaking, everyone ran over.

But the closer they got, the heavier their hearts sank.

These two helicopters seemed somewhat scrapped...

But they didn’t give up, instead moving forward to inspect them.

Li Yu didn’t quite understand these things, as he only recently learned to fly helicopters and knew nothing about some of the components inside.

The people Luo brought had worked on helicopter repairs, so they were very familiar with helicopters.

Li Yu just glanced inside the helicopter and then stepped out.

Luo and Old Qin and others entered the helicopter for inspection.

Luo’s expression was rich during the inspection.

Sometimes he looked happy, sometimes he frowned, but after inspecting for over ten minutes, Luo asked someone outside to bring in the aviation kerosene from the helicopter parked outside and some repair instruments.

Then poured the aviation kerosene into this helicopter, trying to ignite it.

Yet after adding the aviation kerosene, the helicopter still couldn’t be started.

So Luo turned to try the other helicopter, unexpectedly it could start, but after ignition, a check of the dashboard revealed some problems.

Ten minutes later, Luo stood before Li Yu, reporting the situation:

”There are two good news, and also a bad one.

The good news is, the first helicopter’s fuselage is damaged over twenty percent... but the rotor, tail rotor, transmission system, and landing gear are intact.

The other one is about the same.

But the bad news is, the first helicopter’s engine has issues, unable to ignite.

The other one’s sensor is completely busted.

Without fixing these two, these helicopters can’t fly.”

Li Yu glanced at Luo, speechless, and said, ”Just tell me if you can fix them; how long will it take to fix them?”

Luo coughed and said with a smile, ”The engine can be fixed, and there are some component damages; overall, it is estimated to take three days. As for the other helicopter’s sensor issue, I just heard Old Qin say that they had previously removed this thing from another scrapped helicopter.”
