Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Second Uncle’s eyes became resolute as he spoke to Li Yu.

Seeing Second Uncle speak this way, Li Yu’s lips curled up, then he looked at Ding Jiu. If they were to build a bunker, it would surely be a massive project, and they would mainly rely on Ding Jiu to lead a team to build it.

Ding Jiu looked at the two, feeling a bit peculiar inside, as if they had already decided and were now just looking at him...

So he nodded and said, ”Okay, let’s build it then, but Director Li, how big do you intend for the bunker to be?”

Li Yu thought for a moment and then spoke, ”Inner City will be ten acres, three floors, which totals thirty acres. Each floor height should be at least six meters.

The First Outer City is too small, so let’s also build one in the Third Outer City, as it’s larger. Let’s build one of twenty acres there, also three floors, totaling sixty acres.

Each floor height should also be six meters.”

Ding Jiu: ”???”

He widened his eyes at Li Yu and after a few seconds said to Li Yu:

”Director Li, are you sure? You know the one we built earlier in the Second Outer City was only five acres. Are you planning to make it this big now?”

The ground area is thirty acres, but it’s three floors, which is ninety acres, and converting it to square meters, that’s sixty thousand square meters, equivalent to the area of nine football fields.

Li Yu nodded seriously and said, ”Do I look like I’m joking? I know this work is long-lasting, but I’m not asking you to build it all at once, take your time.”

Ding Jiu clicked his tongue and said, ”But it will surely take a very long time, even with sufficient materials, it will take years, maybe even longer.”

Upon hearing it would take so long, Second Uncle rubbed his chin thoughtfully but said nothing.

Some things require a lot of energy and resources, but might never happen, yet they dare not gamble.

In such circumstances, they cannot gamble!

Ding Jiu looked at Second Uncle, seemingly wanting him to persuade Li Yu to moderately adjust the plan, at least for a hundred-acre underground area.

The project is incredibly daunting.

But Second Uncle’s reaction disappointed him, as Second Uncle merely said, ”I’ll go with Xiao Yu’s plan, Old Ding, let’s proceed as it is.

Perhaps in the coming years, you’ll have a tough time, but don’t worry, your engineering team has been trained now, they can help you a lot.”

Seeing the decision was made, and considering he was ultimately not a Li, the authority remained in Li Yu’s hands.

Thus he said, ”Alright, I’ll start drafting the design plan later, and show it to you when it’s ready?”

Li Yu nodded and said, ”Okay, Uncle Ding, thanks for the hard work. This bunker project is of great importance, you should pay extra attention to it. By the way, how are the affairs concerning the five satellite cities progressing?”

Upon hearing the query, Ding Jiu responded, ”Currently, the walls around the three outer cities surrounding the Big Camphor Tree Base are almost finished, and hundreds of cooperative personnel have also gone over.

However, the progress in Gan City and Xin City is a bit slower, mainly due to the transportation of cement, which needs to be transported from the base, so it’s slower.

But it’s estimated that in three more days it should be completely built.”

Upon hearing Ding Jiu’s statement, Li Yu had an idea.

Then he said to Ding Jiu, ”Okay, that’s settled. I heard that while building the satellite cities, several architects were found?”

Ding Jiu glanced at Second Uncle, shook his head and then nodded, saying, ”Not found, but provided by Brother Hongcheng from his list. Those few are capable enough and are now helping in the satellite cities.”

”Hmm, exactly what we need for construction, so I reviewed the list again,” Second Uncle said.

Li Yu then discussed some construction matters with the two before leaving the meeting room.

The sun was shining brightly outside.

After stepping out of the meeting room, Li Yu saw Li Tie, Old Lv, and Teacher Liu taking twenty or so children outside the Inner City.

Among them were Li Peizhen, Xuanxuan, Xu Xiaoyong, He Chao’s daughter He Xiaoya, Second Uncle’s daughter Liu Dai, Aunt’s son Xu Xiangchen, Old Lv’s daughter Lv Zifei, Wang Cheng’s daughter Wang Xiaoguo, and some other children from the outer cities.

Two to three years passed since Doomsday, Li Zhengping, who was initially only sixteen, was about to turn nineteen now, with rich combat experience already.

Currently, his main work is learning alongside Uncle.

Additionally, Li Haoran, Li Haoxian, and Li Hang not only took shifts on the base wall but also went out with the convoy with personnel from the outer cities to patrol in several satellite cities for further experience.

As for Li Tie and Li Gang, the two brothers are now capable of handling things on their own, undertaking larger tasks, and occasionally leading teams for small missions.

Seeing Li Tie and Old Lv leading teams out, it seemed they were going to conduct courses beyond the base.

According to the Big Camphor Tree Base’s rules, practical training can start at age ten, and by sixteen, they must begin to take on some base defense duties.

By eighteen, after receiving systematic education, if one does not choose to delve deeper into fields like agriculture or mechanics, one can join the combat group and start engaging in external combats.

Instilling values within the base is very important.

Under Li Yu’s approval, Teacher Liu was tasked to adjust some teaching methods.

He didn’t want to simply educate only a kind-hearted person, as good people tend to die the quickest, especially in this doomsday.
