I Became the Strongest Villain in One Piece

Chapter 13: SVOP: Chapter 13

Vladimir decided that all future transformations could appear before the world under the name of ”Phantom.”

”Phantom...” The bald man chewed on these two words, ”The dragon appears but never shows its tail, truly phantom-like! Okay, I remember you, Shadow Fiend. You’re a member of the Phantom Pirates, right? One day, I will personally avenge this sword!”

”Hahaha, I’m just an errand boy. If you want to find our members, at least send a Vice Admiral-level expert.”

Vladimir laughed loudly, and suddenly looked at the corner with a meaningful look, ”Old man, I’ll come find you to play next time.”

As soon as the word ”play” fell, Vladimir’s figure completely disappeared without a trace.

Hearing his words, the bald man paled in shock and exclaimed, ”Impossible! A powerful Logia-type ability user is just an errand boy!? What is this Phantom Pirates!”

He trembled all over, feeling that he seemed to have provoked a behemoth.

In the corner, the old man who had been drinking silently had a subtle look on his face.

”Did he recognize me? Speaking of which, the Phantom Pirates... I’ve never heard of them. Where did they come from?”

As the dizziness gradually disappeared, Vladimir opened his eyes again and returned to Amazon Lily Island once more.

Two consecutive successes made his heart surge.

”This ability is so cool. Without leaving home, I can instantly travel to all parts of the world.”

The distance between Amazon Lily Island and the Sabaody Archipelago was at least four or five days of sailing, but the Shadow Fiend’s power allowed him to travel between the two places in the blink of an eye.

”The old man in the tavern... looks very familiar. He should be a character from the story.”

After thinking about it, Vladimir was very sure and muttered to himself, ”Is it Silvers Rayleigh?”

A scar across his upper and lower eyelids on his right eye, round glasses on his nose, mostly white hair, and he was always sitting in the corner of the tavern drinking, as if nothing that happened around him could affect him.

”Interesting, I actually met ’Dark King’ Rayleigh. The vice-captain of the Pirate King, even if he has retired, his strength is at least at the Admiral level!”

12 years ago, Pirate King Gol D. Roger led the Roger Pirates and completed the journey of the entire Grand Line.

When he was executed by the Navy, the Pirate King left a famous saying, which opened the Great Pirate Era.

And the Pirate Emperors who now dominate the New World were just losers in the Roger era.

It can be seen how amazing the identity of the vice-captain on the Pirate King’s ship is.

However, no matter how amazing Rayleigh’s identity was, it would not affect Vladimir. He was not a ”native.”

”It seems the first stop after leaving Amazon Lily Island can be a trip to Sabaody.”

Just thinking about it, footsteps suddenly came from outside the door.

Vladimir’s mind moved, and he immediately merged his figure into the darkness. He was now in a forced transformation period, so it was not appropriate to expose himself.

Knock knock knock.

After the knock, a female voice sounded.

”Lord Guardian, it’s dinner time. Empress-sama asked me to bring you your meal.”

”I know, leave it outside.” Vladimir pondered for a moment and had to respond.

After the person left, Vladimir carefully opened the door and used the Shadow Fiend’s ability to control the black smoke and bring the dinner in.

...

In the blink of an eye, three days passed.

During these three days, Vladimir basically stayed in the palace. During the day, he would stroll around the courtyard, and at night, he would hide in the room, never seeing anyone.

Fortunately, his status was high enough, and no one would bother him.

Thanks to this, Vladimir used this time to figure out the power of the Shadow Fiend.

This transformation was definitely not as good as the Sea Dragon in terms of combat power, but it was better in terms of strangeness.

It could travel hundreds of millions of miles in an instant, and it was immune to physical attacks, making it very safe.

In terms of positioning, it was more like an intelligence master, an assassin, or an errand runner.

However, this leisurely life was finally broken on the fourth day.

The Empress wanted to see him.

Vladimir, led by Shakuyaku, came to the Empress’s boudoir again.

Compared to the last time, there were more people this time. In addition to the Boa sisters, there were also many ”officials,” all of whom were women.

Only one figure was more eye-catching, that very small old woman.

She was fifty or sixty years old, wearing a small red flower on her head, and holding a snake-entwined cane in her hand. When she saw Vladimir enter the door, she immediately widened her eyes.

”Isn’t this a man?” She looked Vladimir up and down and suddenly looked at the soft bed, ”Snake Princess, have you forgotten the taboos of the Maiden Kingdom?”

”Grandma Nyon...” Shakuyaku smiled bitterly and said, ”This is Lord Guardian, Vladimir!”

”Guardian Deity? Does our country have such a thing?” Grandma Nyon shook her head.

”Enough nonsense. Someone, throw her out!”

The Empress snorted coldly and ordered without hesitation.

After hearing the order, two female warriors immediately walked in, supporting Grandma Nyon with helpless faces and forcibly taking her away.

Vladimir watched this scene with amusement, and he could still hear Grandma Nyon’s shouts, ”Snake Princess! You ungrateful bitch!”

The sound faded away and finally became completely quiet.

Seeing this, Vladimir said calmly, ”Empress, you’re looking for me... what do you want from this dragon?”

”Hmph,” after a light snort to express her dissatisfaction, the Empress said coldly, ”Sea Dragon, you’ve been eating and drinking for free in my palace for the past few days...”

Before she could finish speaking, Vladimir interrupted, ”I’m the Guardian Deity. That’s not called eating and drinking for free. That’s the ’tribute’ you gave.”

”I don’t want to raise a useless dragon.” The corners of the Empress’s mouth slightly curved into an arc, and she looked at Vladimir playfully, ”Since you are the Guardian Deity, fulfill the duties of the Guardian Deity. From today onwards, you will train the island’s protector warriors!”

”Huh?”

Vladimir was stunned, and after seeing the Empress’s expression, he immediately reacted.

This girl was setting him up!

”Want me to be an instructor? Now the outside world thinks I’m a Guardian Deity because of the mystery. Once there’s too much contact, it won’t be so mysterious, and the flaws will be exposed sooner or later. What a good plan.”
