Chapter 398: The Visitor from the Sky (6)

Deoxys Regeneration Lab.

Under the immense power provided by Zapdos and Pikachu, Ms. Yuko activated the regeneration experiment machine.

As several dazzling beams of light focused on the core of the green Deoxys, Ash could clearly sense that this Deoxys’s Aura reaction was gradually strengthening.

”Ash, the situation outside is very bad. The two Deoxys are fighting a Rayquaza, and many City buildings have been damaged.”

At this moment, Brock ran over and reported a bad situation.

”I understand.”

Ash briefly instructed Latias to protect the others in a critical moment, then left the lab.

When he appeared on the street, what greeted his eyes were several houses that had been bombed to the point of collapse. Judging by the blasted openings, Rayquaza was undoubtedly the culprit.

Because the openings were clearly blasted by Hyper Beam, and that Rayquaza was still indiscriminately firing Hyper Beam, it couldn’t be more obvious.

”It’s a good thing Larousse City’s emergency plan was well-executed, otherwise the casualties would have been incalculable.

I hope they don’t ask me for City repair funds after I capture this guy.”

Ash murmured to himself.

He didn’t want to be a hero one second and a scapegoat the next.

”Rayquaza, I choose you!”

As Ash threw a Master Ball, a black Rayquaza shimmered into existence.

Since he had decided to use Rayquaza, he no longer concealed anything and directly jumped onto the head of the Shiny Rayquaza.

”Let’s go, go say hello to your kin,” Ash said.

A glint flashed in Rayquaza’s eyes, ”Okay!”

The wild Deoxys, seeing an additional Shiny Rayquaza, naturally assumed it was a companion summoned by the green worm on the other side.

So, the moment it saw them, it launched an attack on Ash and his Pokémon.

”Damn it, is this guy out of his mind?”

Ash’s face instantly darkened when he saw a Psybeam shot towards him.

”Rayquaza, use Extreme Speed and Dragon Tail to teach it a lesson.”

Upon hearing this, the Shiny Rayquaza charged towards the wild Deoxys with lightning speed.

In almost an instant, the wild Deoxys was slapped by the Shiny Rayquaza’s Dragon Tail.

With the acceleration of Extreme Speed and the force of Dragon Tail, just one tail whip sent the wild Deoxys crashing to the ground, creating a large crater.

When the wild Rayquaza saw this scene, a trace of doubt first flashed in its eyes, but this doubt quickly turned into ecstasy.

However, Ash’s gaze had already turned to it.

[Pokémon: Rayquaza]

[Attribute: Dragon + Flying]

[Gender: Genderless]

[Level: Quasi-Legendary Junior]

[Ability: Air Lock (All weather effects disappear)]

[Aptitude: Legendary Pokémon]

[Skills: Twister, Dragon Claw, Scary Face, Crunch, Fly, Rest, Outrage, Dragon Dance, Dragon Pulse, Hyper Beam]

Damn, this guy is too weak, isn’t he?

It doesn’t even know Dragon Ascent?

No wonder you were beaten down by two Deoxys and almost killed by a bunch of robots in the end.

Ash was speechless. He truly didn’t understand how this guy got to be Quasi-Legendary Junior. Its move pool was incredibly shallow. Not only did it not know the most crucial Dragon Ascent, but it hadn’t even mastered Extreme Speed. How weak is that?

Without Dragon Ascent, Mega Evolution is out of the question; this guy definitely wouldn’t know it either.

In other words, if he caught this guy, he would have to spend money in the system store to get a Dragon Ascent TM.

”Roar!” (Brother, let’s team up and kill these invaders!)

The wild Rayquaza extended an invitation to Ash’s Shiny Rayquaza to join forces.

”Give me some face. One of them is under my protection, and the other, like you, is my future partner. As long as you stop, we can find a quiet place to discuss your terms.”

Ash conveyed his message to the wild Rayquaza.

After hearing these words, the wild Rayquaza stared intently at the top of the Shiny Rayquaza’s head, ”Roar?” (Human? No, you have the power of a deity on you. Who are you?)

”You can call me the Aura Guardian, or the Rainbow Hero. Give me a straight answer, will you give me this face?”

Ash didn’t want to waste too much time explaining to a Rayquaza that had just reached the Quasi-Legendary level and didn’t know Dragon Ascent.

The Shiny Rayquaza he had caught, although not yet at the Legendary Pokémon level, was close. With Mega Evolution, it would definitely be a Legendary Pokémon.

A mere Quasi-Legendary level trying to challenge them would be taught a lesson in minutes.

”Roar!” (Impossible!)

The wild Rayquaza considered itself a Divine Beast. If it surrendered without even a fight, wouldn’t it be a huge loss of face?

”Alright, this is your choice.”

Ash chuckled, then sent a message to his Shiny Rayquaza.

The Shiny Rayquaza’s lips curled slightly, revealing a cruel smile.

The next second, the Shiny Rayquaza automatically began the Mega Evolution process.

The wild Rayquaza had a bad feeling when it saw this scene.

The wild Deoxys that had been knocked to the ground suddenly woke up and burst out from underground upon sensing Ash’s Rayquaza’s Aura rising.

Seeing the wild Deoxys fly out, Ash’s Deoxys quickly went to meet it, stopping it to explain.

”Rayquaza, Dragon Dance then Ancient Power,” Ash said.

The Shiny Rayquaza flew high into the sky, twisting its body to perform Dragon Dance, then unleashed an Ancient Power towards the wild Rayquaza.

Facing the Mega Rayquaza’s attack, the wild Rayquaza could only retreat to dodge. There was too great a level difference, and Ancient Power could still counter Flying-type moves.

”Dodging? Let’s see where you can hide. Rayquaza, use Extreme Speed to chase it and beat it!”

Beating up its own kind to show off its strength was incredibly satisfying for the Shiny Rayquaza, which was often ostracized because of its color.

So, Ash only said ”Extreme Speed,” and the Shiny Rayquaza instinctively understood the combo of Extreme Speed followed by Dragon Tail.

Slap!

The wild Rayquaza was slapped across the face by a tail.

The Shiny Rayquaza’s control of its strength was excellent; this tail whip left it dazed but not fatally wounded, showing remarkably high skill.

Next, Ash didn’t even need to speak. The Shiny Rayquaza got so into the fight, unleashing various moves on the wild Rayquaza.

With the force reined in, the wild Rayquaza only sustained superficial injuries, but the feeling of being overpowered by its own kind was truly terrible.

The desperate wild Rayquaza had thought about resisting, but the only move it could use was Hyper Beam, but what good was that?

The huge level gap was evident; its Hyper Beam wasn’t even as powerful as the Dragon Pulse released by the Mega Rayquaza.

Ten-plus minutes later.

This wild Rayquaza was struck down into the woods of a certain park.

Ash looked at the wild Rayquaza, which had an expression of utter despair, and shook his head, sighing, ”Why... why did you force us to be rough?”

”Hey, I’ll give you another chance now. Follow me from now on, and I guarantee you can become as strong as him.”

Upon hearing this, the wild Rayquaza’s eyes lit up, and it used telepathy to say, ”Human, can you have him teach me Dragon Ascent?”

”Dragon Ascent? As long as you choose to become our partner, not only Dragon Ascent, but even the damage you sustain from capturing meteorites, I can help you heal quickly.”

”Really?”

Compared to Dragon Ascent, Rayquaza’s greatest need was for meteorite food. After all, once the energy in the meteorites accumulated to a certain extent, it could master Dragon Ascent and achieve Mega Evolution on its own.

Ash said exasperatedly, ”If you don’t believe me, ask him.”
