Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 213: Chapter 213: Overwhelming Score, Can the Beast Taming Academy Only Hide Its Way to Victory?

Hong Kong Island University.

Gu Yuexi’s voice echoed from the large screens across the athletic field.

Everyone was still in a daze, stunned that their academies’ points had been wiped clean.

The last half hour had felt like a dream.

“So… this is the Future Empress.”

In that moment, they didn’t even have time to mourn their academies’ complete elimination. They were simply—and utterly—captivated by Gu Yuexi’s commanding presence!

It was then that everyone truly understood the weight behind the title “Future Empress.”

So-called top prodigies, peerless geniuses… they all paled in comparison before her.

The Future Empress was already showing the might of a true Empress!

…

Inside the core area of the Shadowland.

Gu Yuexi’s sharp gaze swept across her surroundings.

’That damned mosquito. Still not showing yourself?’

Gu Yuexi had two reasons for participating in the academy competition. First, she wanted to test her combat strength after officially advancing to the Fourth-Grade Realm. Second, she was after something that might exist deep within the Shadowland Secret Realm.

But when she learned that Chu Sheng was also competing for the Beast Taming Academy, her plans changed.

She would use the stage of this academy competition to once again face off against Chu Sheng!

She had lost to him last time in Spirit Martial Eternity.

This time, she wouldn’t just win. She would utterly crush Chu Sheng and make it submit to her as its master, completely and wholeheartedly!

As a former Empress in her past life, Gu Yuexi, now in the Middle-Grade Realm, was on a completely different level from when she was still in the Low Grade Realm!

It could be said she was invincible within the Middle-Grade Realm.

Even against a being at the Peak of Sixth-Grade, Gu Yuexi was confident she could win, though it might cost her something.

Therefore, she was absolutely confident she could defeat Chu Sheng.

She would make that rebellious Contracted Beast of hers admit defeat and obediently return to her side!

This was why Gu Yuexi had been so domineering throughout the competition.

Eliminating all the other teams was merely a way to set the stage for a duel between her and Chu Sheng!

…

Although Chu Sheng hadn’t shown his face throughout the entire process, Gu Yuexi knew in her heart that her Contracted Beast wasn’t that simple. He was definitely up to something behind the scenes.

About ten minutes ago, Gu Yuexi had sensed Chu Sheng’s approach through their Blood Covenant. But even though he was clearly nearby, that damned mosquito just wouldn’t come out!

She glanced around, a haughty smirk playing on her lips.

’Damned mosquito, don’t tell me you’re scared now that you know how powerful this Empress is?’

After a moment of thought, she turned to the other contestants from the Elixir Academy. Besides the few who hadn’t managed to group up at the start, all fourteen remaining members were still active.

Each of them carried the maximum-allowed number of Elixirs, their primary role being to serve as Gu Yuexi’s mobile supply packs.

“You all should withdraw from the competition now.”

“I alone am enough.”

Gu Yuexi said faintly.

The students from the Elixir Academy were obedient. Without Gu Yuexi, they never would have made it this far. At this point, there was truly no use for them to remain.

They had personally witnessed Gu Yuexi’s power along the way, and their admiration for her had reached its absolute peak!

“Yes!”

And just like that, the fourteen of them responded in unison and activated the Guardian Auras on their Combat Suits one by one. As flashes of yellow light appeared, the number of “surviving” members from the Elixir Academy rapidly decreased.

Finally, the data settled on…

Mind Master Academy: 0 Points, 0 people.

Array Academy: 0 Points, 0 people.

Warlock Academy: 0 Points, 0 people.

Fengshui Academy: 0 Points, 0 people.

Artifact Refining Academy: 0 Points, 0 people.

Elixir Academy: 800 Points, current survivors: 1 person.

Beast Taming Academy: 5 Points, current survivors: 1 person.

Time remaining until the end of the competition: 4 minutes, 59 seconds.

Now, only Gu Yuexi and Chu Sheng remained in the entire competition. The stage Gu Yuexi wanted was officially set.

“You damned… cockroach, this Storage Ring on my hand contains Inner Cores worth 800 Points.”

“If you can take it from my hands, first place will belong to your Beast Taming Academy.”

“Well? Are you still not coming out?”

Gu Yuexi’s cool voice rang out once more.

…

Outside the Secret Realm, on the large athletic field.

As the crowd snapped out of their shock, they came to the clear realization… that their own academies were now in last place.

Five academies, all with zero points!

The five academies that had ranked in the top five last year were now tied for last place.

And yet, the Beast Taming Academy!

Thanks to the 5 Points Su Li had risked her life to scrape by with, they were now in second place.

Normally, it wouldn’t have been a big deal for everyone to be at the bottom together; after all, Gu Yuexi had been simply too brutal.

But why should the Beast Taming Academy be the exception?

Seeing the Beast Taming Academy ranked above their own, the students from these five academies instantly became disgruntled.

Some were even furious:

“Fuck, the Beast Taming Academy has some serious dog-shit luck to just stumble into second place like that.”

“Exactly! At least our academies fought Lin Zhixia head-on, but the Beast Taming Academy just hid the whole damn time!”

“Shit, what’s the point of the academy competition if this is how you do it? From now on, everyone should just hide.”

“Yeah, they even hid outside the circle! The shrinking circle is meant to force contestants into direct confrontations. That Su Li girl hiding outside and tanking the damage is basically breaking the rules, isn’t it?”

“That’s right! I propose they disqualify the Beast Taming Academy’s 5 Points!”

Earlier, when the Beast Taming Academy was in last place, everyone had felt sympathy watching Su Li risk her life to tank the damage.

But now that their own academies were at the bottom, many of them changed their tune and started blaming Su Li.

Meanwhile, over at the Beast Taming Academy’s section,

their joy at having effortlessly avoided last place was short-lived, as they were hit by a flood of accusations and curses.

Within the Beast Taming Academy’s ranks, a student who had been holding it in for a long time finally couldn’t take it anymore. He stood up and shouted angrily:

“Shut up! There’s no rule against tanking the damage!”

“If you’re so tough, why don’t you go tank the Soul-devouring Demons? You think it’s so easy?!”

However, his angry explanation was useless. Hearing someone talk back only riled them up more:

“Heh, we’d never do something so shameless. A so-called Cultivator who only knows how to hide.”

“Haha, exactly! The Beast Taming Academy? More like the Dog Academy!”

“Fuck your mom! *You’re* the Dog Academy!”

“…”

In an instant, the scene devolved into a fierce shouting match, and it almost came to blows.

It continued until Principal Chen Shouzheng’s stern voice boomed out:

“All of you, sit down!”

“The competition isn’t over yet! What’s all this shouting about?!”

The competition wasn’t over, but for five of the academies, it was.

Therefore, although the principal’s voice had suppressed them, some people still muttered under their breath:

“There are only a few minutes left. Is there any point in watching?”

“That cockroach is the one who’s best at hiding, been doing it from start to finish. If he dares to come out and fight Empress Lin for first place, I’ll chop my own dick off right here and now! Into ten thousand pieces!”

“That’s right. You chop, I’ll eat!”
