Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 212: Chapter 212: Gu Yuexi’s Killing Spree, a Free Win for the Beast Taming Academy?

Watching this scene, every student in the Beast Taming Academy’s section was filled with despair.

At first, they fantasized about rising up with the Divine Locust, seizing first place, and finally holding their heads high!

Later, after the Divine Locust disappeared and the Beast Taming Academy’s score fell far behind, they no longer dreamed of fighting for first place. They only hoped to avoid last place and save the Beast Taming Academy from being demoted.

As the circle began to shrink, watching one Beast Taming Academy contestant after another get eliminated, the spectating students grew increasingly disappointed and desperate.

Until a moment ago, almost all the Beast Taming Academy students had completely despaired.

They no longer held on to a single shred of hope.

Their Points were down to the single digits.

Only two contestants were still “alive.”

What could be more hopeless than this?

From the beginning of the grand competition until now, the moods of the other academies’ sections had been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, with cheers erupting from time to time.

The atmosphere on the Beast Taming Academy’s side, however, had only grown increasingly gloomy and oppressive.

By now, it was dead silent.

“Dean Mu… I can’t watch anymore. Can I go back first?”

A student at the front of the Beast Taming Academy’s section spoke, his voice weak.

His thoughts mirrored those of every other Beast Taming Academy student.

’Yeah, there’s no point in watching anymore. What’s the use? In the end, we might not even be able to hold on to these five Points.’

At the front of the section, Mu Shoushan shook his head.

“Let’s wait a little longer.”

…

“Tsk tsk, the Beast Taming Academy is truly pathetic this year.”

“It’s one thing to be in last place, but they might even end up with zero Points!”

“Can’t be helped. The competition rules are just that cruel. Who told them to pick a cockroach as their captain… Oh, right, where is that cockroach? How come we’ve never seen it?”

“No idea. Besides that cockroach, it seems the Beast Taming Academy only has one person left.”

“Who is it?”

As if in answer to everyone’s questions, an image appeared on the screen on the main platform!

Amidst a pitch-black fog, a girl in a black Combat Suit was hiding in a treetop, initiating an early withdrawal!

The camera automatically zoomed in, and the crowd instantly saw the person’s face clearly.

It was actually Su Li!

The last person from the Beast Taming Academy!

Su Li’s face was deathly pale, but she was still gritting her teeth, desperately holding on!

“It’s Su Li from the Beast Taming Academy! Oh my god, is she inside the soul-devouring Demon Fog?”

“Is she resisting the poison?”

“That’s right, the Beast Taming Academy’s last five Points are with her! She actually chose to hide in the black fog just to successfully withdraw and save these final points.”

“Damn, isn’t that too dangerous? Is it really necessary? They’re destined for last place anyway.”

“Sigh, maybe it’s to protect the last shred of dignity for the Beast Taming Academy, so they don’t end up with zero.”

At this moment, all the Beast Taming Academy students staring at this scene had bloodshot eyes!

Seeing this, many people were quite moved, and the voices mocking the Beast Taming Academy lessened considerably.

Half an hour later, with her Mental Power completely eroded away, Su Li fainted and was carried off by a patrolling instructor.

However, she had finally succeeded in withdrawing, securing a Fifth-Grade Early Stage Core for the Beast Taming Academy and saving their 5 Points.

Beast Taming Academy: 5 Points, 1 member remaining.

…

Seeing the last remaining member for the Beast Taming Academy, many people were stunned.

Watching Su Li get taken away just now, they had almost thought the Beast Taming Academy was completely eliminated.

“Huh? Who’s left?”

“Heh, what’s left isn’t a person, it’s that cockroach. It hasn’t shown up once from the beginning until now. Who knows where it’s hiding.”

“You think there’s a chance that cockroach is secretly killing Demon Beasts, just waiting to pull out a pile of Inner Cores at the end and turn the competition around?”

“Heh, you’ve read too many damn power-fantasy novels, haven’t you?”

“Wait, look! I think they got a shot of the cockroach!”

On the screen, a patrolling instructor’s camera finally captured an image of “Chu Sheng”!

’The Divine Locust has appeared?’

’Could there be a miracle?!’

For a moment, the hearts of all the Beast Taming Academy students trembled!

They hurriedly looked over:

A giant cockroach was lying motionless in a patch of grass…

’What’s it doing? Hibernating? Sleeping?’

“PFFT…”

A clamor of laughter erupted across the field.

“That’s hilarious! I really thought that giant cockroach was secretly preparing to turn the tables. Turns out it’s been taking a nap this whole time?”

“And he’s supposed to be the captain? To be stuck with a captain like that, the Beast Taming Academy is really unlucky!”

“Heh, they’re the ones who chose him.”

Amidst the jeers, the Beast Taming Academy students were now furious!

’What is this?! The other team members worked so hard, fought for their lives, and the captain is just sleeping?’

Many students, on the spot, wanted to leave in anger.

However, Mu Shoushan spoke up once more:

“Sit down!”

“No matter what, we will see this competition through to the end!”

“Even if we finish in last place, I’ll accept it!”

…

The soul-devouring Demon Fog soon spread to the core circle. The competition had entered the final stage.

Meanwhile, Chu Sheng was still in the inner area. Protected by the Soul-devouring Nether Flame, the soul-devouring Demon Fog surprisingly had no effect on him, which was an unexpected bonus.

Can’t be helped. That’s how it is when you’re a cheater.

Just as the battle between the major academies in the core area reached a fever pitch, Chu Sheng’s Life Essence finally reached 700,000 again!

He had already upgraded once before, raising all 32,000 Insect Beasts to the Peak of Third-Grade.

And now, he was about to upgrade them all to the Fourth-Grade Early Stage in one go!

[Ding! Upgrade successful! 640,000 Life Essence consumed. All 32,000 Insect Beasts have been promoted to the Fourth-Grade Early Stage.]

[Current Insect Beast capacity: 32,000. Current Insect Beasts owned: 32,000.]

[Including: 32,000 at Fourth-Grade Early Stage.]

’It’s done! A full 32,000 Fourth-Grade Early Stage Insect Beasts! What a terrifying force!’

Once this army of Insect Beasts was unleashed, destroying a small city would be a simple matter! Not only that, but with the increase in the Insect Beasts’ realm, his [Ten Thousand Insects Substitute] ability would also be greatly enhanced!

’With so many Fourth-Grade Realm Insect Beasts to block damage for me, this is true invincibility!’

[Current Life Essence: 60,000]

’The remaining 60,000 isn’t enough for another upgrade. I’ll keep it as a reserve.’

This upgrade was satisfying enough! The combat power of the Insect Beasts had also received a massive boost.

’It’s about time. I should go see what’s happening with the academy competition.’

Chu Sheng recalled all the Insect Beasts into the Nether Flame Insect Nest, then put on the New Roach Battle Treasure again and vanished on the spot.

…

「In the core circle of the Shadowland.」

The countdown to the end of the academy competition had reached its final half hour.

The scene in the final circle was beyond everyone’s expectations!

Usually, by the final stage, everyone would focus on defense, as the rankings were mostly set in stone.

This was especially true for the first-place Elixir Academy, which only needed to defend its current Points.

But Gu Yuexi seemed to have gone on a true killing spree, continuing to lead the Elixir Academy team on a rampage through the final circle.

Since Gu Yuexi not only possessed extremely high personal combat power but also led the largest team from the Elixir Academy, her squad was practically invincible.

Furthermore, the coordination between Gu Yuexi and the Elixir Academy was surprisingly good—Gu Yuexi would tear through enemies at the front, while the other members continuously supplied her with all kinds of Top-Grade Elixirs to replenish her Mental Power!

Soon, the teams from the various academies realized something terrifying!

“Is Gu Yuexi trying to… wipe out every team’s Points?”

And that was indeed what happened!

As time dwindled, one academy after another had their Points wiped out by Gu Yuexi!

「The final ten minutes.」

On the grand field, an unprecedented scene appeared on the main platform’s screen!

Warlock Academy: 0 Points, 0 members remaining.

Array Academy: 0 Points, 0 members remaining.

Fengshui Academy: 0 Points, 0 members remaining.

Artifact Refining Academy: 0 Points, 0 members remaining.

Beast Taming Academy: 5 Points, 1 member remaining.

As He Chuan, who was at the Sixth-Grade Early Stage Realm, was also defeated by Gu Yuexi, the Points of the last remaining academy, the Mind Master Academy, were completely wiped out.

Artifact Refining Academy: 0 Points, 0 members remaining.

In just thirty minutes, the situation had reversed to an absolutely unimaginable degree!

On the grand field, tens of thousands of people stared blankly at the large screen as if they had been struck by lightning! The entire field was silent!

Only the students in the Beast Taming Academy’s section seemed to have come back to life. ’Are we about to coast our way into second place?’

On the large screen, the camera focused on Gu Yuexi’s cold face. Her expression was calm, as if she had just done something utterly insignificant.

Just then, she spoke:

“Damned cockroach, come on out. I know you’re nearby!”
