Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 988: Chapter 987: This Is the Sixth Year

”Jose Floyd, what are you doing?”

Jose Floyd ignored Nicole’s expression of rejection, directly stuffing her into the front passenger seat of the car. He got in, locked the door, and his actions were as swift as lightning.

Jose Floyd was driving and dialing a phone number on his phone. Nicole was a bit upset being forced into the car and didn’t want to face Jose Floyd, her gaze falling on the snowy scenery outside the window.

”Get it ready, I’m coming over now—” Jose Floyd coldly said into the phone, then turned to look at the person in the passenger seat. His voice was still cold, but softer than when he spoke on the phone, ”What would you like to eat?”

Nicole’s gaze returned, looking back at Jose Floyd, her expression complicated, ”No need, I’ll go home...”

”Prepare spicy hot pot, I’ll be there in half an hour.” Jose Floyd directly ignored Nicole, his gaze shifting forward as he instructed the person on the phone, coldly hanging up the call.

It was always like this, what he decided, he would domineeringly order others to execute. Nicole frowned silently.

Jose Floyd brought Nicole to the restaurant and went inside.

The waiter, who had been waiting at the door, immediately helped open the door to welcome them in, ”Mr. Floyd, the soup base is ready, you can cook the ingredients now.”

Jose Floyd nodded lightly and followed the waiter’s guidance to their seats.

Nicole followed behind Jose Floyd, watching him in his black trench coat, his tall figure walking ahead of her, and exuding a noble and aloof aura that made it hard for anyone to approach easily.

The two sat face to face. The restaurant was warm, and Nicole took off her coat, feeling a bit uneasy facing Jose Floyd, picked up the water glass in front of her, and lowered her gaze to drink water.

The waiter put some ingredients into the pot, smiling as he stood to the side.

”You can leave now.” Jose Floyd’s cool voice sounded.

”Yes, Mr. Floyd.”

Only the two of them were left at the table.

Outside, the snow continued to fall. From the window seat, it looked beautiful.

Nicole had originally just found an excuse to come out to look for food, not expecting Jose Floyd would unceremoniously bring her to eat hot pot. It was just an excuse, but after eating a few bites, she got hooked, eating silently and quickly picking at the food.

Nicole had been eating for a while before she noticed that Jose Floyd across from her hadn’t eaten much. Her gaze fell on the fiery red broth, her expression instantly becoming complex.

She liked spicy food, but Jose Floyd ate very blandly. Tonight, even she, someone who was used to spicy food, found it spicy. One could only imagine how it was for someone who didn’t eat spicy food.

Nicole took a small bowl, poured a bowl of clear water, and gently pushed it to Jose Floyd, continuing to eat her hot pot.

Jose Floyd’s gaze fell on that bowl of clear water. He moved, dipping some vegetables into the clear water before putting it in his mouth to eat.

The two silently finished their hot pot meal, and when they returned to the car, it was precisely midnight, New Year’s Eve.

The sky above City C was filled with vibrant fireworks, magnificent and stunning.

Nicole involuntarily smiled softly at the fireworks, when a slender arm reached over, holding a gift. The voice was faint, ”Happy New Year.”

Nicole looked at the gift presented to her, her fingers a bit stiff. She didn’t take the gift but turned to look at Jose Floyd. Her lips moved slightly, lightly saying, ”Happy New Year.”

Jose Floyd’s hand holding the gift paused for a moment, withdrawing coldly, his gaze on the vibrant night sky. His voice was cold with a sense of empty loneliness, ”This is the sixth year.”

He and she had been together for five years, never separated, together for five years under the guise of being a couple...
