Chapter 961: Chapter 960: Second Brother, I Don’t Want You Anymore [2]

Daisy Grant held Romeo Grant’s hand, feeling his pulse grow weaker and weaker, her whole being collapsing into tears.

She knew her father couldn’t hold on, but in the final moments, what he couldn’t let go of was her, worrying about her future.

Daisy Grant’s guilt and regret surged within her heart, tears flowing even more uncontrollably.

”Dad, I don’t want anything anymore... I’ll return to the Grant Family, I’ll listen to you, I don’t want love anymore. Please don’t leave, okay? What will happen to Mom and me if you go? I already have nothing left... Dad...”

”Go on and live well... be brave and strong...”

Romeo Grant’s words were barely audible, and after finishing his last word, there was no pulse or breath left.

”Old Grant!!” Sophie Brown lay on Romeo Grant’s body, crying her heart out.

”Dad!!” Daisy Grant choked with sobs, her whole face covered in tears, holding Romeo Grant’s still slightly warm hand. After a while, her voice came out in broken pieces: ”I was wrong—Dad!—I shouldn’t have longed for a love that didn’t belong to me—I was wrong!... Please don’t leave, okay?”

The rescue room was filled with the heart-wrenching cries of Sophie Brown and Daisy Grant, their sobs resonating, making Diego Campbell, Romeo Grant’s assistant of several years, shed tears as well.

Meanwhile, Dawn Sutherland and Nicole left the Central Hospital, with Nicole greeting Dawn Sutherland and leaving for the Seys Family.

Dawn Sutherland dialed Daisy Grant’s number, but no one answered. Feeling uneasy, he returned to the apartment, but still couldn’t find Daisy Grant.

Dawn Sutherland called Ariel Morris to inquire about the scenes after he left the wedding. Ariel Morris paused for a moment and only said one sentence, ”Daisy cried.”

After hanging up, Dawn Sutherland felt even more uneasy, his self-reproach and guilt grew, grabbing the car keys, braving the wind and snow, driving through City C to search for Daisy Grant.

He dialed the phone again and again, but no one answered. Dawn Sutherland had a sense of foreboding, feeling that something bad had happened.

Dawn Sutherland searched for Daisy Grant for two days, but there was no news. Neither the company nor the apartment showed signs of her return. Daisy Grant seemed to have vanished into thin air, causing panic in Dawn Sutherland’s heart, reminiscent of five years ago when she disappeared for a few days then went abroad, only to return after five years.

Dawn Sutherland was anxious and uneasy, his entire focus was on finding Daisy Grant.

By the third day, Dawn Sutherland couldn’t bear it any longer, driving through the wind and snow to the Grant Family, accidentally encountering the servant Donna.

”Donna, has Daisy ever come back?” Dawn Sutherland got out of the car, urgently asking Donna.

”Mr... Second Young Master Sutherland.” Donna’s eyes were a little red, her voice choked.

Dawn Sutherland finally sensed something was amiss, looking at Donna’s hesitant expression, his unease spreading, ”Speak! Has Daisy ever come back?!”

He had been worried these days about Daisy facing trouble, never stopping to search for her.

Shouting at Donna, she burst into tears, ”Second Young Master Sutherland, why did you come only now, you are after all considered President Grant’s son-in-law, shouldn’t you see President Grant off on his last journey...”

Dawn Sutherland grabbed Donna’s arm, feeling like he was hearing things, his voice icy: ”What are you saying?! I’m asking about Daisy!”

Donna cried a few sobs, choking out, ”Miss went to the cemetery, President Grant passed away on the day of your and Miss’s wedding...”

Dawn Sutherland’s mind exploded, unable to believe, glancing at Donna, and seeing her face full of tears, he swiftly turned, got in the car, his body slightly trembling.

”Second Young Master Sutherland, it’s the Calming Cemetery in the north of the city!”

Donna’s voice reached him, and Dawn Sutherland stepped hard on the gas, speeding towards the cemetery....
