Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 971: Chapter 970: Second Brother Always Believes in You [1]

Since the death of Father Grant, Mother Grant, Sophie Brown, has been silent and withdrawn, with her condition deteriorating day by day. Daisy Grant witnessed it and felt anxious.

Dawn Sutherland sighed inwardly when he saw Mother Grant’s state, knowing Sophie Brown was sick from grief and fearful that she couldn’t go on, having lost the will to live.

Dawn became increasingly attentive and careful towards Daisy Grant, as he wished to fully integrate himself into Daisy’s world before Sophie Brown left, allowing Daisy to rely on him, making him her family. In this way, when Sophie Brown’s situation worsened, at least Daisy would feel she had a family member and wouldn’t be so alone in the world.

When Daisy Grant went to C.Y for the final handover work, she bumped into Evalian Chapman, who had been hospitalized for wrist injuries due to self-harm.

Evalian Chapman looked at Daisy Grant with cold eyes.

Daisy wore a loose sweater, her slender figure allowing the sweater to perfectly cover her abdomen as Evalian scrutinized Daisy, her gaze lingering on Daisy’s abdomen.

Daisy sensed the cold gaze in Evalian’s eyes and instinctively protected her abdomen, feeling a chill on her back as she stood in front of Evalian.

Evalian Chapman sneered coldly, ”Daisy Grant, I will make Dawn marry me! I won’t let it go like this!”

After speaking, Evalian returned to her seat to work, and when Daisy glanced back at Evalian, her gaze became complex. She pursed her lips and continued with the handover matters.

She would be at C.Y just for today; she would rarely see Evalian in the future. Since Evalian detested her so much now, it’s probably better not to meet at all, avoiding any intersections, thus preventing worries.

In the afternoon, while Daisy was busy at her seat, she saw the department heads from the design and sales departments heading towards the meeting room, followed by Dawn with a serious expression, accompanied by Sam Brown, who looked equally grim, all heading to the meeting room, clearly for an impromptu executive meeting.

But why did everyone’s faces look so bad? Had something happened?

Daisy’s heart was a bit chaotic, worrying about Dawn and C.Y. when she saw a few assistants originally seated in the general office area being called to the office one by one.

Soon, the internal line rang on Daisy’s desk, and she answered it.

”Assistant Grant, please come to the office,” Sam’s voice was somewhat grave on the other end.

Daisy furrowed her brows slightly, ”Okay.”

Daisy got up and walked towards the office, knocking on the door, and upon receiving a response, she pushed the door open and entered.

As soon as she entered, everyone’s eyes in the meeting room turned to her, causing a rush of panic and unease in Daisy’s heart.

”President Sutherland, fellow executives,” Daisy politely greeted.

Dawn held a pen against his chin as he sat in the main seat at the conference table, his expression calm, showing no emotion nor did he respond to Daisy’s greeting.

From the moment Daisy entered, she felt the executives’ gazes and expressions towards her were odd, marked with disdain and hostility. Daisy intended to ask when Sam handed her a document and spoke in a deep voice.

”Assistant Grant, this is our C.Y’s evaluation and quotation for the Waltham Corporation City A project cooperation. Please take a look.”

Daisy opened the document, ”This quote is lower than the industry’s standard. If I’m not mistaken, this quote means C.Y should have a hundred percent grasp on the City A project. If the City A project succeeds, it would tremendously boost C.Y’s reputation! After all, collaborating with a well-established company like Waltham Corporation alone is enough to attract widespread attention!”
