Chapter 955: Chapter 954: The Wedding She Waited Over Ten Years For Ended Like This

”Enough, enough, I won’t complain anymore!” Nico Haynes’ gaze fell on Anaya Campbell, ”Designer Campbell, let me take you home.”

Anaya, who was mentioned, nodded and gave Nico a deep look, ”Thank you for the trouble, Third Young Master Haynes.”

Nico went to see Anaya off.

Ariel Morris sighed, ”Arlo, I want to go see Daisy.”

Arlo Seys nodded, ”Okay, since Dawn isn’t here, you can chat with her and wait for Dawn to come back.”

Just as they were about to find Daisy Grant, Daisy, wearing a down jacket, walked over to them, tugging at the corner of her mouth, ”Brother Seys, Ariel, I’m sorry, my second brother isn’t here. Next time we’ll treat everyone to a meal to make up for this wedding reception. I’m planning to go back to his apartment now.”

Ariel noticed the hoarseness in Daisy’s voice and paused, ”Daisy, Arlo and I will drive you back.”

Daisy smiled faintly, ”No need, I can go back myself. Ariel, you should go back; it’s very cold outside, take care not to catch a cold. I’ll go first.”

As Daisy turned to leave, her long-held resilience crumbled, and tears fell.

The wedding of her and her second brother, she had waited over ten years for it, only to end like this.

She didn’t care about the absence of flowers and applause, but without her second brother at the wedding, the pain was almost suffocating.

Listening to the footsteps fading away, Ariel’s voice was somewhat hoarse and stiff: ”Arlo, was Daisy crying? I could sense something was wrong with her voice.”

Arlo watched Daisy leave and sighed, ”Yeah, she was crying.”

Although Daisy tried her best to conceal it with a smile, her red-rimmed eyes couldn’t deceive anyone. She must have cried while changing her clothes in the room, yet managed to maintain a smile to bid farewell to him and Ariel.

”Why did Evalian act so impulsively and cause all this mess! It makes things so hard for Daisy! Her wedding was already cold and bittersweet, and now because of Evalian’s suicide, Brother Dawn had to take her to the hospital, leaving Daisy all alone! If I could see, I would definitely be by Daisy’s side right now! And that bastard who let her down! Why should Daisy, a girl, bear all this alone? Do you know how heartbreaking it is for Daisy?!”

Arlo sighed and embraced Ariel, ”Alright, don’t be upset, take care of your own health. Daisy married Dawn, and she will be happy in the future.”

After all, since they were young, Dawn only loved Daisy. Having married Daisy, Dawn would certainly treat her well.

”Arlo, how about you help investigate who that bastard who abandoned Daisy is? Find out whose child Daisy is carrying?!” Ariel clutched Arlo’s hand and said anxiously.

Arlo led Ariel outside, somewhat helplessly, ”This matter is really hard to investigate. Daisy refuses to reveal a single word about that person, it’s like finding a needle in a haystack, not an easy task.”

Ariel clung to Arlo’s hand, ”Arlo, please help investigate, I feel so heartbroken and uncomfortable seeing Daisy. It’s not difficult to investigate! Just check all the men Daisy has been in contact with these past few months. The baby has only been conceived for a few months, just check the men Daisy has been in contact with during this time, and we can quickly pinpoint the target! Once we find that bastard, Arlo, call Nico and Dawn to go beat him up! Does he really think Daisy has no brothers or sisters to back her up?! How dare he abandon Daisy, beat him until he begs for mercy!”

Arlo was somewhat helpless, ”I’ll talk to Dawn about this. If Dawn agrees to investigate, I’ll step in. But if Dawn feels it invades Daisy’s privacy and doesn’t want it investigated, then let’s not get involved.”
