Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 128: Chapter 128: What Happened to the Company?

Not only was Ariel Morris shocked, but also Scarlett Morris who was standing before her. Her little schemes were still being calculated in her mind when Arlo Seys’s words ’I’m your brother-in-law’ poured down on her like a cold shower.

Arlo Seys looked back at Ariel Morris’s surprised little eyes and said with a slight parting of his thin lips, ”What? Did I say something wrong?”

Ariel Morris’s face was touched with a blush, and she shook her head at him with a silly smile, feeling both touched and happy, ”You didn’t say anything wrong — you are Scarlett’s brother-in-law.”

When she said the word brother-in-law, Ariel Morris deliberately emphasized it, clearly articulating it for Scarlett Morris who was standing before her.

Arlo Seys affectionately touched Ariel Morris’s beautiful hair and smiled faintly, seemingly quite satisfied with her answer.

Ariel Morris’s blush deepened, and the happy smile at the corners of her mouth grew even more pronounced.

Scarlett Morris’s smile stiffened somewhat, and the deep affection and sweet interaction between Ariel Morris and Arlo Seys instantly turned her mood cloudy, prompting her to urge Ariel Morris impatiently, ”Let’s go home, the driver is waiting for us.”

————

Ariel Morris bid farewell to Arlo Seys and went home with Scarlett Morris.

The Morris Family enjoyed a harmonious dinner together.

In the evening, Ariel Morris went downstairs to the living room to get some water. As she was carrying her cup back to her room and passing by her parents’ master bedroom, she heard deliberately suppressed arguing from inside.

”I’ve already planned to mortgage this house!” It was her father, Damien Morris’s voice.

As soon as her father’s words fell, her mother Laura Pinley’s voice sounded, ”Is there really no other way? Damien, is the company really in such crisis? If the house is mortgaged, what will happen to our family? Are we going to end up on the streets? I don’t agree!”

”Do you want me to just watch the company collapse without doing anything?!”

”Even if you mortgage it, you can’t save the company! How much is this house worth? Are you going to sell it and let us sleep on the streets? Damien, we still have two daughters, can you bear to see them suffer with us?”

...

The sound of her parents’ quarrel was word for word heard clearly by Ariel Morris, her fingers clutching the water cup tighter and tighter, trembling slightly.

What happened to the family company? How did it come to the point of needing to mortgage the house?

Ariel Morris’s heart churned, the sound of her parents’ argument making her even more uneasy, so she decisively reached out and knocked on her parents’ door.

The sound of knocking immediately silenced the argument inside. Over ten seconds later, the door was opened by her mother, Laura Pinley.

Laura Pinley looked at her eldest daughter suddenly appearing at the door, her eyes flickering a bit unnaturally as she asked, ”Ariel, why are you still up this late?”

Ariel Morris was holding her water cup, her voice slightly deep, ”Mom, let’s talk inside, I heard everything.”

Laura Pinley paused slightly, sighed heavily, and let Ariel Morris into the room.

Ariel Morris walked into her parents’ room, softly calling to her father who was still sitting angrily by the bed, ”Dad.”

Damien Morris, feeling bad, angry still, glanced at her and did not respond.

Ariel Morris looked at her father’s displeased face and softly asked, ”Dad, has something happened to the company?”

Her father Damien Morris was running a real estate company, the Morris Family was considered part of the upper society in City C.

Damien Morris sighed and said nothing, while Laura Pinley stepped forward to explain in a low voice, ”Yes, there’s a funding problem, it’s not circulating smoothly. Plus, the new development project is having issues, now our Morris Clan seems to be really facing its end.”

Ariel Morris lowered her eyes slightly. ”Cash flow — would need quite a bit of money, right? Would mortgaging the house be enough?”

Laura Pinley shook her head, her tone very helpless and heavy, ”Not enough, we’ve pooled everything we can, but it’s still not enough.”

”Is there any other way?” Ariel Morris asked in a deep voice.
