Chapter 115: Chapter 115: Arlo Seys, your hand is in the wrong place...

Arlo Seys walked Ariel Morris home, and as they passed by the pharmacy at the entrance of her neighborhood, Ariel bought a bottle of medicine for injuries and took it home.

The two of them reached the bottom of the apartment building.

”Arlo Seys, I bought some medicine. You got hurt on your face and left hand. Let me tend to them for you, okay? It wouldn’t be good if the injuries worsen.”

Arlo hesitated for a moment, then nodded. The Seys Family had very strict rules, and if he went back looking like this, it would be obvious he got into a fight and got injured! His grandfather and father would definitely punish him with kneeling!

By the time they reached home, it was getting dark, and the hallway was a bit dim.

”Arlo Seys, be careful. The light in the hallway is broken. I’ll use my phone’s flashlight to guide you.”

Ariel turned her head back to remind Arlo while turning on her phone to use the flashlight.

”Ah!”

A scream had just escaped her lips when Arlo’s quick reflexes allowed him to swiftly catch the person lunging forward, stopping her forward momentum.

In that awkward position, after about a minute of stiff silence with no reaction from the rescued person, Arlo, worried that she might have been frightened, asked with a trace of anxiety in his voice, ”Ariel Morris, are you okay?”

”I...” Ariel hesitated for a few seconds, ”Arlo Seys, your hand—”

His hand? Arlo looked down suspiciously, only to see his hand wrapped around the person who had lunged forward. Just as he was about to say that his hand was fine...

Arlo gave a jolt, and a blush colored his indifferent face...

Arlo was extremely embarrassed.

Snapping back to his senses, he immediately steadied Ariel, and once she stood firm, he quickly withdrew his hand. The blush on his face became more pronounced, and fortunately, the lighting in the staircase was dim enough that Ariel couldn’t see the awkwardness on his face. Otherwise, he wouldn’t know how to face this embarrassing situation!

Ariel straightened up, her heart pounding from the unexpected intimate contact. Afraid that this little incident would make things awkward between them and hinder their natural interaction, she tried to calm her racing heart and maintained a calm and natural tone, ”Uh—this light really needs to be fixed by the Boss Lady; it’s so inconvenient otherwise, right? Arlo Seys, thank you. If it weren’t for your timely help, I would have face-planted on the ground!”

After the little incident, Ariel became more cautious, leading Arlo back to the place she rented.

The door opened, and Ariel invited Arlo into the house. Arlo paused briefly as he stepped inside, a flicker of surprise in his eyes.

Since birth, he was the Crown Prince of the Seys Family and had never entered such a humble abode.

It was just a small room, the narrow space could be taken in at a glance. The room contained a bed, an old desk, and a suitcase full of clothes. It was so tiny it was like an even smaller home within a home.

”Arlo Seys, what are you standing there for? Come in, take a seat. I’ll wash my hands and apply some medicine for you.”

Behind him, Ariel urged as she entered the house.

Returning to his senses, Arlo’s gaze fell on the smiling girl. How could she live so happily in such a simple and cramped place?

He even felt that when he and Ariel stood in the room, it seemed a bit crowded. The entire room wasn’t even as big as the bathroom in his home...

Ariel went out to wash her hands, and Arlo’s gaze followed her. It was then he realized that Ariel’s living space had a shared bathroom, shared by three households along with a kitchen.

Ariel washed her hands, and due to the size of the place, the only chair was in front of the old desk. Ariel invited Arlo to sit on the edge of the bed while she carefully applied medicine to him.

”Arlo Seys, thank you for saving me today,” Ariel softly said while applying the medicine.
