Chapter 126: Chapter 126: The Seys Family Will Not Allow Early Dating

Ariel Morris gave a gentle smile, ”I believe in you unconditionally. Arlo, no matter what happens, I’ll always be by your side, facing the storms with you.”

Arlo Seys’ throat moved once, his gaze deep as he looked at Ariel Morris, ”Ariel, as long as you don’t leave me, I won’t fear losing anything!”

After hearing his words, Ariel Morris looked him up and down, feeling more and more that something was off with Arlo today. She observed him with a serious expression, ”Arlo, you’re not acting like yourself today. What happened? Where have you been this week?”

Arlo Seys’ eyes slightly drooped, he pressed his lips together, and after a dozen seconds of silence, he spoke in a faint voice, ”It’s nothing—Ariel, I’ll take you home.”

Ariel Morris could see that he had something on his mind, but since he was unwilling to talk, she didn’t press on and changed the topic considerately. Ariel Morris smiled gently at Arlo Seys, her voice soft, ”Alright, Arlo, take me home then!”

--------

Arlo Seys was taking Ariel Morris home, and she was skipping cheerfully ahead, occasionally turning around to smile at the person behind her. Arlo Seys’ deep eyes followed the figure ahead, and his heavy mood gradually lightened.

When she turned around and smiled at him, the corners of his mouth lifted slightly, gently responding to her happiness and joy.

Nico Haynes and Dawn Sutherland, intentionally lagging at a distance behind them, quietly followed along.

Watching the silent but warm interaction between the two ahead, Nico Haynes sighed, ”I never thought Arlo would fall for a girl like Ariel Morris.”

Dawn Sutherland gave a faint smile, ”Isn’t it nice though? Ariel is great, and it’s normal for Arlo to like her. It’s the first time Arlo has fallen for a girl, and with his serious and stubborn nature, this might just be for life.”

Nico Haynes was silent for a few seconds, ”But Uncle Seys... this time Arlo got beaten so badly with a cane by Uncle Seys he was bedridden for a week. It looks like Uncle Seys won’t allow Arlo to date so early.”

Dawn Sutherland’s smile faded, his voice also heavier, ”Don’t you know Arlo’s personality? Since he’s confronted Uncle Seys, he won’t compromise. He said he wouldn’t give up on this relationship, which proves he loves Ariel deeply.”

”Are we really going to let Arlo get beaten to death by Uncle Seys? If Uncle Seys actually makes a move, Ariel Morris won’t be able to resist at all, and getting expelled from Scenic Hill would just be a word from Uncle Seys.”

Dawn Sutherland shook his head, ”You’re wrong. Do you know why Arlo refused treatment after he was injured? He stayed in bed for a week, refusing treatment for his injuries to protect Ariel. He’s using himself as leverage to resist Uncle Seys! No matter how strict Uncle Seys is, he only has Arlo as a son; he really wouldn’t beat Arlo to death, right? Even if Uncle Seys could be that ruthless, Aunt Seys wouldn’t stand by and let it happen without protecting Arlo.”

”Second Young Master Sutherland, don’t say that. Those cane marks, hiss~” Nico Haynes took a sharp breath, recalling the terrifying scene from a few days ago when Arlo got beaten, ”Uncle Seys really laid into him. Seeing the marks on Arlo’s back made me shiver all over from the pain by just imagining it. Arlo bit his lip and didn’t make a sound, enduring Uncle Seys’ punishment.”

Dawn Sutherland’s face was soft and warm, ”That’s why the power of love is great. Let’s hope that Arlo and Ariel will be happy and deeply in love forever.”

”Yeah, let’s hope.” Nico Haynes agreed softly.

Arlo Seys and Ariel Morris were walking down the street when a figure ahead of them noticed them and walked straight over.

”Ariel Morris!”

Ariel Morris looked ahead, her grip around Arlo Seys’ hand tightening slightly, her eyes somewhat flustered.

Feeling her change, Arlo Seys glanced calmly at the approaching person.
