Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Chapter 243. An Expedition to Outer Space? Attracting Global Attention!

At this very moment, the Immortals in outer space were in the middle of unleashing their formidable divine arts on Earth. They had projected the auras of their respective ancestral planets to erode the Separation of Heaven and Earth and make a complete descent on the planet before them.

They had already begun. Colossal planets filled the sky, and streams of energy rained down continuously from them, slowly altering Earth’s environment. For now, the effects seemed negligible, but once they were ready to descend, it would be too late to intervene.

According to Jiang Ningxian, the Immortals would make their final move and go all-out within a matter of days.

Something had to be done before then.

Lu Yuan’s plan was straightforward. He was going to use the contingency plan that the sages of antiquity had left behind, destroy the Immortals’ plan, and ideally make them pay a massive price in the process.

This way, they would no longer dare to be so reckless. At the same time, it would serve as a declaration to the universe. Lu Yuan wanted everyone to know that Earth was not to be trifled with.

He issued orders to the beast kings, assigning each of them to one of the Celestial Court’s four divisions. The chaos spawned by the upheaval in outer space had made Earth a chaotic place as well.

At first, Lu Yuan had told the officials to exercise restraint and avoid doing anything rash. However, it was about time they changed their stance. Coincidentally, the four divisions needed their first taste of real combat as well.

Upon receiving their orders, the Peacock King and the other beast kings moved to carry them out immediately.

As for Lu Yuan himself, he descended Mount Tai and headed back to his residence to make his final adjustments. In a few days, he would go to the moon and formally fight those Immortals.

Before he could even step into his courtyard, Jiang Ningxian called out to him. ”Lu Yuan.”

She approached him and went straight to the point without any pleasantries, saying, ”On behalf of the Jiang Clan, my father has decided to descend to Earth to formally collaborate with you.

”They will also use their own resources to protect Earth and its people. However, for any of that to work, the Separation of Heaven and Earth cannot be significantly compromised. Otherwise, things will become far more complicated down the line.”

The Jiang Clan was powerful, but they couldn’t take on every clan and race at once. They needed Earth itself to grow stronger, and they needed the Separation of Heaven and Earth to remain intact until the Jiang Clan’s descent.

Lu Yuan understood the implication and nodded. ”I understand.”

”In a few days, those Immortals will make their final move,” Jiang Ningxian reminded, offering no further explanation. She intended to lend her strength when the time came. Unfortunately, she had yet to recover her full strength, so there was only so much she could do.

”Then, I suppose it’s time to see for myself just how strong those so-called Immortals truly are,” Lu Yuan replied, smiling.

Neither of them wasted words after that. They exchanged a brief nod and went their separate ways to prepare.

Lu Yuan worked on deepening his understanding of his visualization method. He decided to bring his physique and soul to peak condition while simultaneously seeking ways to reach the next stage of evolution.

During this period of time, Elder Ji and the others finally decided to make a move, but of course, this was all under Lu Yuan’s orders.

The other places across Huaxia could be left for later; the five supercities were directly under the jurisdiction of the officials, and they declared that beings from the Outer Cosmos couldn’t come and go as they pleased in those supercities.

Those who had chosen to defect to the invaders were immediately dealt with and placed under many restrictions.

They were at a critical juncture. The clans from the Outer Cosmos were doing everything in their power to suppress the inhabitants of this world. The officials had to do something to ensure that the people wouldn’t fall into panic, as the formidable figures from the Outer Cosmos already loomed over Earth.

The Celestial Court’s four divisions were also mobilized for that reason. Those daring enough to ignore the officials’ words were dealt with decisively and forcefully.

Most of the beings from the Outer Cosmos were strong; the most powerful among them stood at the Venerable King Realm, but there were plenty of Unfettered Realm and Golden Body Realm experts among their ranks.

However, the four divisions, led by Zhu Qingyu, the Ice Fairy, and the others, were composed of the absolute elites of this world. The beast kings also fought alongside them, so the fights went decisively in their favor.

The beings from the Outer Cosmos suffered massive losses. After all, not all of them had come from a top-hundred starfield. Some of the weaker ones had descended to profit by taking advantage of the chaos.

The Celestial Court targeted them to serve as a warning to others.

The beings from the Outer Cosmos were baffled. They had been holding back so far, so why the sudden aggression? The answer came soon enough, and it was a piece of news that spread like wildfire, attracting global attention.

In three days, Lu Yuan would ascend to the moon and stop the complete descent of the beings from the Outer Cosmos.

The news was like an explosion that ignited the world in an instant.

After weeks of living under the shadow of the alien planets up above, virtually everyone knew what their arrival meant. The Immortals had projected them to carve open a pathway and descend completely on Earth.

Hence, every living being on Earth had been feeling as if doomsday was closing in.

They all knew the Outer Cosmos teemed with powerhouses. In stark contrast, Earth’s Global Awakening had just started, and its inhabitants had only just set foot on the path of evolution.

How could they possibly contend with those from the Outer Cosmos?

Things became even worse when the invaders revealed that the forces behind this operation all came from the top hundred starfields in the Outer Cosmos. The top one hundred starfields in the entire universe! The sheer scale of that was simply difficult to comprehend.

Everyone felt that they were simply far too inferior compared to those from the powerful top one hundred starfields. This was why some had chosen to defect to the invaders. They assumed this was something no one could stop.

However, Lu Yuan had announced his decision to reach the moon to fight the Immortals. The idea was simply absurd. He was just one man, but he actually decided to stand against what amounted to the combined might of the universe?

Yes, everyone had acknowledged that Lu Yuan was strong. After all, they had given him the title ”Invincible Beneath the Stars.”

But even so, could he really stop the Immortals? No way. The gap was simply too vast. The beings from the Outer Cosmos reacted with shock at first when the news reached them, but then they all erupted into peals of laughter.

”Stop the Immortals from descending? How is he going to do that? Their descent is inevitable. Unless the Milky Way Starfield somehow travels back in time to the ancient era, there’s no way he can stop them.”

”We admit that we’re no match for him, but he’s delusional if he thinks he can pull that off.”

”He’s going on a campaign to outer space to reach the moon and stop their descent? Who does he think he is? The Celestial Emperor?”

These invaders feared Lu Yuan and had no desire to face him head-on, but those looming over Earth at the moment were composed of true powerhouses. There had to be quite a few Sages among them as well.

The only reason Lu Yuan managed to slay a few Sages in the past was that the Separation of Heaven and Earth had been suppressing those Sages in question. Lei You and the others were weakened.

Everyone acknowledged that within this planet’s borders, Lu Yuan was invincible, but everything beyond Earth’s borders was a different story altogether.

Despite that, he declared that he wanted to stop those Immortals. How was he going to do that? Earth’s citizens and Awakened remained silent; they couldn’t argue back, and they also didn’t know the answer to that question.

They knew that Lu Yuan’s actions were meant to protect this world, but they simply couldn’t bring themselves to believe that he could fight those Immortals from the Outer Cosmos and win.

Hence, no one believed Lu Yuan could succeed, not even those who revered him most. Even the members of the Celestial Court, the Peacock King and the others, were shaken to the core upon hearing of his plan.

Time went by, and three days later, every living being on the planet, including those from the Outer Cosmos, set aside whatever they were doing and looked up. They all wanted to know one thing. Would Lu Yuan truly go on an expedition to outer space to reach the moon and challenge the Immortals?
