System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

Lu Cheng pushed open the door, met by the intense gaze of dozens of eyes—

There were no teacups in the office, no light-hearted conversations, nor any pleasantries; the atmosphere was silent.

Upon seeing Lu Cheng, Huang Haibo introduced, ”Director Lu Cheng is the head of our Trauma Center and also the direct supervisor of Du Hua’an.”

After Huang Haibo finished speaking, the person who had previously called him Old Huang put on a smiling face, ”Director Lu, this is just a misunderstanding.”

”I have explained to Director Huang earlier, we are all part of the system, and we encounter each other often.”

”Let’s try our best to turn big issues into small ones. Harmony is most valuable.”

Lu Cheng didn’t know this person, so he didn’t respond to his words.

He simply reported calmly to Huang Haibo, ”Director Huang, I just arrived... and I’m not yet clear on the specific situation.”

Director Chen Zhong from the Medical Department and Deputy Director Peng Jianfei were both present; Chen Zhong’s red nose subtly moved:

”Director Lu, what is Dr. Du’s current situation?”

The middle-aged man who hit someone was standing with his arms crossed, saying nothing, just coldly staring at the desk as if all this had nothing to do with him.

Lu Cheng explained, ”I just arrived to prepare for the shift, and I have already arranged for someone to go over and help, but there’s no feedback yet.”

After speaking, Lu Cheng then turned towards the direction of the police: ”Officer, our Trauma Center’s consultation room has a recording.”

”There are several terminals where retrieval is possible. If you need it, we can provide it to you.”

As soon as Lu Cheng said this, the expression of multiple people in the office changed drastically!

”Who allowed you to set up recording devices in the hospital?” A voice sharply questioned from someone Lu Cheng didn’t recognize, wearing the hospital uniform.

Lu Cheng glanced at the other party: ”Does our country still have a right to sound?”

”I’ve only heard of portrait rights!~”

”The emergency room is inherently a special area of the hospital, what’s wrong with making recordings to protect ourselves?”

”Director Huang, what do you think?”

The items in the consultation room were all recommended and arranged by Huang Haibo, just for unexpected situations.

The ER is the place with the highest incidence of medical disputes in the hospital, and Huang Haibo had his unique understanding and handling method.

”This is nonsense!~”

”Ridiculous.”

The person speaking in the white coat looked towards Chen Zhong in the Medical Department: ”Director Chen, they are violating patients’ privacy rights!~”

”It’s against the rules.”

Huang Haibo calmly spoke, ”The purpose of installing recording devices should be limited to safeguarding medical safety, improving service quality, preventing and dealing with medical disputes, and other legal and legitimate scopes, not for monitoring or pressuring patients.”

”Director Qi, you may not be aware, but do not randomly label things.”

”Every consultation room in our ER has a marked sign.”

Huang Haibo incidentally revealed the identity of the person in the white coat.

Director Qi was not the one who called him Old Huang; the one who called Old Huang was wearing administrative attire, and his expression began to stiffen.

”What is Director Huang planning to do now?” His voice too turned cold.

Huang Haibo replied, ”Of course, it’s about following the rules, handling, and resolving the issue!”

”If it is determined that during this medical intervention it was our department’s doctor who violated the health-related regulations, then the health and wellness committee will handle it.”

”Public security management regulations are public security management regulations; these are two separate matters.”

Huang Haibo was quite familiar with legal provisions.

Hearing this, the middle-aged man who had hit someone smiled faintly: ”Director Huang means you have to have the police station fine me a few hundred yuan to alleviate the situation?”

Huang Haibo looked at the middle-aged man, then at the seated police officer, ”Just a few hundred yuan in fines?”

”Director Huang, the way to enforce punishment is an internal matter within our police system, we will handle based on the facts, according to the law.”

”Now, we are sitting here for the purpose of coordinating and resolving this issue,” an older police officer said.

Huang Haibo declared, ”Dr. Du has already said, he refused coordination and wants to hold accountable to the end.”

”I have also clarified the stance of our ER; our ER will pursue accountability to the end!”

”We do not accept coordination.”

Having expressed his stance, Huang Haibo continued, ”How the public security system processes people based on documentation is not for us to interfere.”

”But there’s one thing: the report acknowledgment, time, event, and process must be detailed!~”

”To facilitate Dr. Du in filing a lawsuit later.”

The middle-aged man’s face tightened slightly: ”Director Huang, it’s just such a trivial matter, and it must end in ruin and mutual destruction?”

”I’ve also said, I was indeed agitated earlier, but I have a reason, that was my father.”

”I acted urgently.”

Huang Haibo then directed his gaze to the police: ”Du Hua’an also has parents, brothers, and sisters—they could do something else urgently for their child being innocently injured, couldn’t they?”

”Understand one thing, this is Xiangzhou.”

”Are you threatening me in front of the police?” The middle-aged man, an old hand within the system.

Just as Huang Haibo, who was also well-versed with the law, said: ”I’m just stating facts as Du Hua’an’s leader.”

”Why would I threaten you?”

”If, as leaders, they can truly find shortcomings in my and Director Lu’s management, then just handle it independently.”

”Being a subordinate, one must have one’s awareness.”

”However, we are subordinates, not dogs of those in leadership.”

”Even an agitated dog can bite someone.” Huang Haibo wasn’t a pushover; he smiled as he watched the other party.

Huang Haibo was a medical worker with a flexible moral bottom line and legal bottom line.

Huang Haibo continued, ”I’m not saying anything threatening, hypothetically, I mean hypothetically.”

”If Du Hua’an’s family organizes people to go to Sha City for a team-building event, that’s normal, isn’t it?”
