Super Gene Hunting Ground

(Today is the birthday of the Alliance Hierarch ”1710**4184” of this book, and the author hereby wishes him a happy birthday and all the best! This update is an added chapter for him. I owed 3 chapters yesterday, and today there’s a minimum of four updates, I have to do eight to complete the task.)

Yang Xiao was also stunned, as he hadn’t expected that a few simple words from him would lead to Ah Bao actually killing Tanaka Jiao.

Everyone found it incredible.

They all looked at Yang Xiao; Ah Bao had just been about to kill Yang Xiao, so what on earth had this kid said to him?

He’d actually caused such a swift turnaround in the plot and even killed Tanaka Jiao.

”Wa kaka, Tanaka was a bad guy, I don’t like him, and as for you lot,”

Ah Bao suddenly pointed at the remaining four people from Ice Wolf Island,

The four trembled all over, looking at Ah Bao in terror.

”Scram! Don’t ever enter my tribe again, or else, death!”

”Chief Ah Bao, please no?”

Ah Mu exclaimed in shock.

”Shut up, I’m the boss, what I say goes.”

Ah Bao roared at Ah Mu.

Ah Mu was completely stunned, looking at Ah Bao helplessly.

Had Ah Bao suddenly gone mad?

Of course, Ah Bao hadn’t gone mad.

From the moment Tanaka Jiao entered Ah Bao’s tribe and started giving him all kinds of schemes, Ah Bao had always felt somewhat uneasy about it.

Many times, it was Tanaka Jiao stirring things up, and with the surrounding tribesmen making such a clamor, amidst the surge of group sentiment, Ah Bao sometimes couldn’t help but go with the flow of everyone’s emotions.

Especially Ah Mu, who would always bring a few tribesmen to echo Tanaka’s provocative comments, making Ah Bao seem very passive.

Ah Bao, simple and barbaric, wasn’t very cunning or murderous. He preferred to maintain the peaceful coexistence with David. Only as the tribe chief did he feel responsible for the safety of all his tribesmen.

The last clash with David had left a dozen tribesmen dead, which made him very upset.

But the blood feud became increasingly deep, and the tribesmen’s hatred was stirred to a boiling point; he couldn’t not follow along.

The key issue was, Ah Bao himself didn’t have any countermeasures, so he could only let Tanaka Jiao and Ah Mu stir up the emotions among everyone, forcing him, against his will, to openly confront David.

Now, however, the situation was different; Yang Xiao had arrived and brought with him a completely different, peaceful rise to power.

Ah Bao might be simple-minded but not stupid; Yang Xiao’s plan seemed bold and scary, but upon careful consideration, it also seemed reliable.

Ah Bao had never truly liked Tanaka Jiao, nor was he comfortable being pushed forward by Tanaka and Ah Mu for this short period. A few words from Yang Xiao had fanned the flames of anger in his heart.

In a rage, Ah Bao struck down Tanaka Jiao and expelled the four from Ice Wolf Island, exorcising some of his pent-up fury.

Ah Bao shot a glance at the surprised crowd and loudly said:

”Brothers, think about it, weren’t we living just fine before Tanaka Jiao came to our tribe? After his arrival, he came up with many bad ideas and incited us to directly confront David, but what was the result?

We lost over a dozen brothers; they were your relatives, weren’t they? We may have gotten some Crystal Stones, but can those Crystal Stones immediately speed up our Evolution? Can they bring back the lives of our dead brothers?”

Ah Bao’s words struck directly at the soft spot of all the tribesmen, as those who died were indeed their brothers or fathers.

Moreover, the Crystal Stones they obtained indeed couldn’t take effect immediately, resembling more like flowers in the water or castles in the air.

Now that Ah Bao had pointed it out, everyone seemed to have an epiphany.

Moreover, with Tanaka Jiao dead and Chief Ah Bao seeming quite angry with Ah Mu as well, everyone began to speak out against Tanaka Jiao.

”I always knew this guy was up to no good; as soon as he came to our tribe, he started with the bad ideas, inciting us to go to war against David.”

”He was just a fleeing Miner; to avoid being chased by David, he desperately stirred up hatred between us and David.”

”This guy just didn’t look trustworthy.”

”He got what he deserved.”

”He caused us to lose our loved ones; my brother died in the last attack on the mine, I hate him.”

”And my father also died.”

...

Yang Xiao looked at the group of furiously indignant barbarians and couldn’t help but feel sentimental,

Whether it’s human society or the tribes of the barbarians,

Where there are people, there are interests, there is contention.

Ah Mu, after a brief moment of confusion, also joined in denouncing Tanaka Jiao, stepping forward to fiercely kick Tanaka Jiao’s corpse,

”It was him who incited us to go to war with David, causing me to lose a hand.”

Poor Tanaka Jiao, heaped with such a heavy blame even after death.

The remaining four from Ice Wolf Island had already slipped away quietly at the sight of this.

Yang Xiao reckoned they wouldn’t live long either, since there are high-Level Monsters all over the Primitive Forest, and these four were merely at the King Level of Evolution; just encountering a single Emperor Level two-headed giant crocodile would spell their doom.

Ah Bao then pulled Yang Xiao in front of everyone, and loudly said:

”This Yang Xiao, is a representative sent by David, and has just communicated with me, expressing Station Head David’s desire to coexist peacefully with us, which I find very good.”

Yang Xiao immediately said:

”That’s right, Station Head David hopes to live in peace with everyone, as long as you do not interfere with the mine’s production, do not harass the Miners, we will continue to supply Crystal Stones to you as usual,

Your tribal members can enjoy a peaceful and beautiful life in the forest. Isn’t this more meaningful than warring and hurting each other?”

The many barbarians listened, falling into silence.

In fact, every barbarian knows that in comparison to the people of Witch Star, they are at an absolute disadvantage, and resistance is nothing but a gamble with their lives.

”Alright, we hope Station Head David will supply us with Crystal Stones on time, and we can guarantee not to harass his mine.”

A barbarian stood out and said.

Thus, the rest of the barbarians compromised, thinking it was a good idea.

Ah Mu and a few other barbarians, although dissatisfied with Yang Xiao for instigating Ah Bao to kill Tanaka, now that the general trend had changed, also reluctantly accepted the arrangement.

Everything went back to the starting point, of course, sacrificing a dozen or so barbarians, in exchange for fifty kilograms of Purple Origin Crystal Stones every month.

”So, about our proposal to exchange Crystal Stones for some Genetic Potion, there’s no room for negotiation?”

Ah Mu still brought this issue up unwillingly.

Upon hearing this, everyone looked toward Yang Xiao.

The Genetic Potion indeed is a good thing, and all the barbarians hoped to get their hands on it.

The barbarians also tried to exchange Crystal Stones for Genetic Potion through underground trading before, but the entire Purple Origin Star imposed a non-trading policy on Crystal Stones. Crystal Stones simply couldn’t circulate nor be taken out of Purple Origin Star privately, they could only be handed over after being registered at the mines.

Like Station Head David, he could hoard Crystal Stones, but these couldn’t leave Purple Origin Star, nor could they be traded, which were no different from ordinary rocks.

Crystal Stones that aren’t registered have no ability to circulate or exchange; they are just waste.

The only way for private trading is to sell to private mines, such as David selling to Elder Qin, but the value is heavily discounted.

For instance, if David sold 10 kilograms of Crystal Stones to Elder Qin, Elder Qin, after receiving them, would have to hand over 4 kilograms as a tax for his own mining produce, leaving only 6 kilograms for himself.

And he could only buy this 6 kilograms at the price of 1-3 kilograms, which for David, hiding 10 kilograms of Crystal Stones, in the end, could only sell at the price of 1-3 kilograms, which was very frustrating.

Moreover, the Great Dragon Empire decreed that private trading of Crystal Stones, if discovered, is punished by immediate execution.

This risk virtually eliminated all private circulation channels.

The barbarians wanting to exchange Crystal Stones for Genetic Potion, no way.

Yang Xiao looked at Ah Mu, shook his head firmly, and said:

”No way!”
